That game was not close to the most watched game of the 2022-2023 CFB season. The most watched game in all 2022-2023 CFB was the Peach Bowl with 22.45 million viewers. However, the regular season had THE Game as the most watched CFB game with 17.14 million viewers. The Tennessee Alabama game had 11.56 million viewers. Again, just pointing out a minor inaccuracy, and agree with you on everything else! Have a good day!
I’m still kicking myself, me and my wife were deciding between the Florida game and bama game to go to and ultimately decided on the Florida. So jealous!

Props to the cbs camera crew for the moving shot with the vols letters when the music hits. One of the things I will miss about the sec on cbs is their camera work. Might be the best in the business.
I listen to every game on the Vol radio network. Every game. And 3 of my speakers down at the lake actually blew out when they ran through the T against Bama last year. It was that loud.
So glad they showed so much of the pregame and featured running through the T with Smokey. So many games jump in at the kickoff and you miss all the traditions! CBS nailed this one.
I really count myself very lucky. I was in the stadium in the third Saturday October in 1982, set in Legion Field on the second October of 1995 and set in the stadium for this one. Really amazing to experience all three of those games.
If you watch closely in our games, he would (he retired after last year) bark whenever TN scored, but not the other team. It’s the crowd noise, but still pretty cool.
It's a real shame that SEC Football is leaving CBS after 2023. I honestly hope B1G football on CBS, as well as NBC & Fox, becomes nothing but trouble and misery for those networks. And I hope ESPN & ABC put all of its time, money, & effort and makes the promotes the h*** out of SEC Football being on ESPN/ABC.
