I appreciate your transparency!! I agree 100% with you not deleting those videos. As you grow organically maybe other videos are more viewed later. As far as putting money back in the channel. I’d suggest an Amazon wishlist in your description that we can contribute to (supplies or books, we never see your address) as we want. A lot of color channels I follow use that. Also When can you qualify for “memberships” or maybe setup a patreon? You can do even just $1 tiers there. Then when people want to support you it’s on their whim and not required.
Hiya - completely respect your integrity, appreciate that you shared your thought process- you really don’t need to justify yourself to Anyone (imho)! Never say Never as far as monetisation and affiliate links are concerned - as your channel grows you will hopefully make videos with massive viewing figures and feel ready to apply again… sending gentle hugs x
Your channel is only 3 months told I have faith you will continue to grow and im sure you will be able to make other videos that will surpass those other two videos.. Do whatever makes you happy. Love the coloring .
U don’t have to delete those videos just private them until ur monetized then make them public again once u are monetized. It might be about you saying your videos are kid friendly but with those two videos they might be considered adult..I know they are overly crazy strict when TH-camrs put a video marked as kid friendly, & it isn’t. You would be surprised how little it takes for them to come to that decision, & they will reject ur monetization because of that. So what I do until I’m monetized is I never click that kid friendly box, because they find any little thing to dock u. Good luck girl

Becks as you say your channel is only 3 months old. Give it time to grow, other videos will overtake the unpopular opinion ones then you can apply again. I am very like you, I don't work due to illness, am highly empathetic, I can't watch the news etc., You need to do what is best for you, one day at a time. Big hugs x
I completely understand what you are saying. I’m still nowhere near the 1000 and would love to get there and monetize much for the same reasons you mentioned. I no longer work due to my depression and would love to make my own money. My husband’s channel is monetized and the amount he gets varies immensely and is enough for ‘hobby’ money - he currently has 7800 odd subscribers; that is something to consider. Also do you have Twitter? When I had a YT issue I wasn’t getting any answers until I put it on Twitter addressed to TeamTH-cam and then my issue was fixed in a few days! Might be worth giving them a go.

Good for you for standing your ground! I don’t know any thing about creating videos but I see some with disclaimers about being an adult coloring channel could that be it🤷♀️
I put that disclaimer in my description box on every video because YT is really strict about content made for kids. So I want to make sure to let the powers that be know that, even though this is a coloring channel, it's not one intended for children.
I'm sorry you have this dilemma. It would be way more helpful if youtube would just tell you the specific reasons why. I definitely understand your desire to keep the videos up especially after the story you told in this color and chat. I'm confident you will have videos that will surpass those in views and I hope you will try for monetization again someday. You deserve it. For the time being focus on the things that bring you happiness and we'll happily be there with you for the journey.

I never planned on being monetized. I honestly thought I’d never get to that point. Would it be nice? Yes. Is it or has it ever been my goal? No. I just enjoy sharing my hobby and meeting all the beautiful people that I have. That’s why I’m not super disappointed.😊
