Bro, thanks for the review. I also like your bed, looks fab plus it's practical with the ottoman storage. Could you please tell me where you bought this from, or a maybe link to this model will help. Thanks a lot in advance! :)
I had one for about 2 and a bit years from Sept 2019 - for the first 12-18 months it was great and couldn't of asked for better. Then it just gradually started to lose it's shape and then one day the 'bounce-back' into shape was just non-existent, every time you got in it felt like rolling into a pit. Led to terrible back pain (I'm in my 20s) and had to get rid. Spent a lot of money on it as a student and followed the instructions and do's and don'ts about rotating it and cleaning etc. but still didn't last anywhere near as long as I had hoped.
I was dead set on buying that exact mattress, luckily I asked my sister who bought one 18 months ago if she was happy with hers. She thought it was great for the 1st year but now thinks it’s the worst bed she’s ever slept on and it’s given her and her husband back ache. Be interesting to see what this chap thinks in another year.
This looks like the Tempur mattress i currently have on my divan bed, but with a slightly more premium design. I think I might go premium and get the Hypnos mattress (that they use in Premier Inn hotels), because it uses pocket springs, and won't feel flat after a few years.
Hi how is the simba mattress and duvet are holding up? We are thinking of buying them but keep seeing bad reviews. Would love to hear if the mattress is still going ok after all of this time…. and also does the duvet wash ok?
Hi, im not using the simba duvet so cant comment on that. Mattress still has been fine for me though, coming up to summer now so taken the mattress protector off to make it cooler.
@@Dipscovery thank you for replying, how long have you had the mattress now? Loads of people say it becomes lumpy and gets a ridge in the middle? I take it yours hasn’t had any of that happen? Is it the mattress protector that is from simba you use?
@@kathryng3047 yes i use the one from simba, its fine in winter but during summer it makes the mattress retain heat so we remove it. No i have not had any of those issues.
@@Dipscovery fab thank you, think we will order the mattress. Going for the Luxe version. Loved your review 😁 which Dunelm sheet did you recommend please?
@@kathryng3047 thanks, yeah check out the links in the descripton, deffo reccomend the Dorma range it feels amazing, especially the bed sheets. Nice, silky and good quality. Ive tried cheaper brands and they just pill or get holes in them after a few washes.
I recently purchased Simba mattress, it would heat up tremendously. This is in the heart of winter where I even had to open the window. Anyways thankfully I traded the mattress for Casper snow which is truly a life saver. I highly recommend the Casper Snow over any of simba product. The simbatex is an absolute joke it traps the heat. I actually woke up sweating. The simply fact he saying you have to remove the mattress protector speaks volumes. You should always have a mattress protector on top of your mattress to preserve your mattress for a long time .
Avoid this mattress like the plague. It's just one expensive piece of memory foam that after only a few months, will badly start to sag to the point you literally just get into the sag every night, and can't move out of it. Then you find you are waking up every few hours simply overheating, because your body can't move or make any minor adjustments in the night. I had a silent night before this, lasted 10 years, this thing I've had for just 5 months, and its terrible. Don't waste your money.
I've got an update video coming out next week where I talk about this sagging issue, as a few people have mentioned it but on mine I have not had any sagging, I also test for sag with a weighted ball but nothing. Recommend checking it out when it go's live.
You would need the heavy Weighted Ball on there for 10 hours a night for 3 months to get true results as everyone is different weights. I'm 16 stone for example and its terrible. The mattress has created a homer Simpson type dip where I sleep. Bottom line is, this mattress is just one expensive lump of fancy memory foam, yeah its on Custom Pocket Springs, but they mean nothing, memory foam is memory foam at the end of the day, they just have an amazing Marketing team hyping it, a rigged Trustpilot system where they offer you option of winning your mattress back after owning it a week, who's going to leave a negative review with that offer after a week. It would be interesting getting the opinion to all there 5 star trust pilot reviews and ask them what they think now after 12 months. For those who get a dip, how many of them do you think go back to review them again.
It's been 2 years now, can you tell me how its holding up? I'm looking at buying one and a couple of the comments on here said that the mattress was good for about 18 months? I'm pretty sure the 10 yr warranty would cover the issues that I read about but anyways... Let me know!
