i live 6 miles form chattooga river, i just moved up here from catfish and bass world and just got into trout fishing and got my 1st trout last Wednesday, there are lots of streams that dump into the chattooga off of 28/ warwoman road that has lots of trouts
The Chattooga river is beautiful . I have fished it numerous times. I always catch fish. Most of the time I go backpacking for 3 days. Hopefully I get a chance to go this year a couple of times.
Haven't even finished watching but had to say THANK YOU for doing this. I had planned to fish this stream last fall but my plans fell through. Now am planning on giving it a go in April - if anyone has any thoughts on whether that's a good or bad time to go please let me know. Again I really appreciate you posting this. I have some videos posted under FlyFishingSimplified if you cared to check them out.
Thanks for the comment. I know that my production is not that great. I am trying to spend more time on each stream. Some of these I only have a few hours. Way too short. Maybe when I retire I can spend more time.
One of my greatest regrets was not fishing that river enough. I lived in GA for 12 years, and didn't discover fly fishing till my last year there. It was only an hour from my house. :( Thanks for taking me back.

Have to disagree about the Toccoa being on the list when there's limited public access. Sorry but yiu missed 2 great rivers in New England The Deerfield and Swift . Both better than the Toccoa !

beautiful river. You should work on keeping your line under your index finger of your rod hand. It makes fighting the fish much easier.

Man, I can't believe guides don't make more money. Lots of terrible technique out there. Not suprised 10% catch 90%
When you say caddis are you referring to elk hair caddis or the midge versions of caddis?

have you fish in pine Creek PA yet trout
Not yet this year, but I am headed up soon. I fish there every year. It is not on the TU list that I am following, but I love it.
