Texas wanted to win with style points when all they needed to do was run run run (especially on that last drive). Insane that they had 6.4 YPC and they did not run more.

I thought 2021 UGA ad the best defense I had ever seen...until it gave up 41 pts and lost to Bama. Michigan's D never gave up more than 24pts all season - oh and they also wnet undefeated!

That Michigan defense hasn't played any good offensive team. When the best team you've played is #47 in total offense in the country..any defense would be for real..when the top 3 defenses in the country are all from the big 10 that a good sign the offenses in the Big 10 arent very good. Ohio st. #47 and the next is Purdue at #69 are the 2 best offenses Michigan's played...now theyve got #1 passing offense in the country and #10 overall offense in the country..keep I. Mind Washingtons played against better rushing defenses than Michigan better

Washington can't stop the run, Michigan is going to bleed the clock and go on long drives. Michael Is great he will have his moments but I don't believe it will be enough. Michael will have to run for a lot of yards for them to win.

Michigans offense can't keep up with Washington.. I'll tell ya right now. Don't think you'll get to Penix because they have the best O-line in the country. And have given up 10 sacks all year. Texas has the Outland award winner Sweat. And the better line than Michigan.. Texas had zero sacks and Sweat had 1 tackle. Washington has played good defense. They've played good running backs..they've played better QBs. There nothing Michigan has Washington hasnt played against. Michigan hasn't seen an offense like Washington..or a QB like Penix. You can say Harrison. But consider who was throwing him the ball..I heard it for a month from Texas fans..and if you watched that game. Washington was easily the better team.. and after the game. Texas fan were shocked..they had no idea Washingtons was that good..or that Penix was that good. Or the WRs were that good. Take a minute and TH-cam Penix 2023 highlights.. and watch Rome Odunze 2023 highlights. It's impressive.

U have to remember Michigan also played osu with cj who is just as good as Michael, with all those top end wide receivers. Cj had a great games. But Michigan was able to get the stops they needed to win. The difference is Michael is willing to run unlike cj. So if Washington wins that will be the difference. Michaels ability to use his legs for 1st downs or extending plays . I'm not saying Washington doesn't have a chance. I'm saying Michigan is going to limit Washington t.o.p. or at least try to . And Washington has played better defensive lines than Michigan. Texas #3 # Utah #4 Michigan #8 and they played #10 Oregon twice. Those were those teams were saying the same thing and it didnt happen..When you win the award for best O-line in the country there's a reason for that. Plus Penix pocket presence is awesome...you want to blitz they're daring you to...people just don't know because where Washington plays and they don't see em play and the PAC 12 is a bunch of soft teams. Plus the Huskies have won 21 games in a row 10-0 against ranked teams..this teams no push over.and considering were joining the Big 10 we may as well start kicking their butts now. Lol

I'm not sure those who played for FSU will forever treasure their bowl game experience with Georgia. Most of the players on scholarship have at least one full semester of school left right now. They are on scholarship because they agreed to play football for their schools. If they opt out of a bowl game, the school should opt out of providng the tuition and other freebies for those who refuse to honor their side of that contract. That may not be enough to obtain full participation. A lot of these players only care about a job in the NFL and were never really interested in obtaining a degree. Maybe sue those guys for claw back from past years.
I'm at the 20:00 mark and this is a waste of time! I have heard more about OSU and "I", being Meyer, talking about himself and OSU, almost nothing about Michigan and Washington National Championship game!
In short, anybody that can beat Michigan is OK with him.

Bowl games today are like participation trophy's. There are way to many bowl games. I never thought i would see a 5 - 7 team playing in a bowl game.(Minnesota) Bowl games used to be rewards to winning teams and if you only had 8 wins you were lucky if you made a bowl game. Now days these teams only have to get 6 wins to make a bowl, the standard has been lowered and so has the quality of football.

The passing offense Washington runs was nothing like what Urban ran in college.

Yup. Alabama got it figured out….hired ‘first loser’ from the CFP national championship game. NS brought a great team to the Semi’s that continued to get better each week and had prepared for an extremely talented Michigan team. Came down to execution on key moments when it was all on the line. Washington folded like a cheap suit when all the chips were placed on the table . Nobody has it better than those who stayed: removed any doubt in the skeptics out there of what college football team is the best in the land: Michigan

I have been watching college football since 1970. No one gets to coach a major program without a huge knowledge base. If two teams played the same schedule and under the same circumstances then we can or should be able to predict outcomes. Michigan's defensive stats are deceiving the Big 12 offenses were bad this year and Bama was only average. The Pac 12 had several teams not so great on defense so Washington's offensive stats likely are also skewed. That being said the highlight film of Pennix to any of his receivers makes me pick Washington in this game.
As an UM alum I hate OSU but this guy is top level coach.

43 bowl games, 86 teams of 130 teams are in a bowl game, washed down. Stop the talk about tradition, tradition was 6 bowl games not 43, complete stupidity.
Unless all the teams players are required to play in the bowl games, there's no point in playing them. Half a teams starters choose not to play and the team gets blown out. What's the point of that?

There's almost no defense in the PAC 12 giving the illusion that they're better than they really are and look at how many close one score games this "Michigan hasn't seen a team like this" had this year. 10! Saban could never coach a 3-4 star team and mold them into great players like Harbaugh has the last 7-8 years.
Nobody knew Saban until he went to Bama where he’s got 18-25 five stars.
Its bs the way Bama can recruit low level IQ and many other schools take pride in academic excellence. It’s hard to enroll at UofM. That’s why Bama can take the stars that got rejected everywhere else.

I disagree with Urban. The bowl games were empty stadiums, blowouts, and boring. So many players opted not to play. Make the bowl games part of the playoff or don’t play them. The “NFL light” playoffs seems like the right thing to do in today’s CFP.
Decrease the number of bowl games and increase the eligibility requirement.

I love Michigan, but Washington is the best team. I think they can beat Michigan by three touchdown because nobody’s gonna believe it.
None of that made logical sense. Nothing about watching these two teams all year would suggest Washington can win by three touchdowns. There’s actually no logical proof on paper that says Washington wins this game. Washington could win this game, but they definitely shouldn’t be favored. Washington has a good passing offense it ends there, their running back is injured. Their defense sucks.

@@zandercerlong7238running back has been banged up for months and has still produced. He’s playing in this game and the defense doesn’t suck. The defense has progressively improved as the year has progressed and they were also missing 3-4 key pieces a lot of the season. They tend to go through stretches every game where it seems like they need to figure the opposing team out and then when they do they make the plays necessary to win. I see it being the same in this game except it may take them less time. There is more pressure on Michigans secondary to stop Washington’s offense than there is Washington to stop Michigans. Washington can score points in a hurry, Michigan needs long sustained drives. Which means Michigan has far less room for error. Looking forward to Monday.

Alabama could not defend those crossing routes and understand who was responsible to cover Wolverine receivers in motion. It was almost too easy getting the big completions when it counted for Harbaugh.
Those sacks Alabama gave up were embarrassing for such a proud program.
The Alabama center stopped Alabama by snapping the ball to the QB's ankles repeatedly.
Urban said Texas would beat Washington because as he said, "I know what I saw!" I highly doubt he will take accountability for his statement being wrong. He thought it would be Bama vs. Texas.
