Usually when there was a problem at the 'pointy' end, even just defective windscreen wiper for its previous northbound journey. Run around rather than fail and cancel.

I have never seen an HST with the buffet car next to the power car. Rare catch, also the 91 with Mk 2 stock on a test train

Why is that 91 nose on to the carriages ?
1989 they would have been doing test runs with the 91s before introduction.
