Blaming customers for your failures won’t fix anything.
Telling them also to not buy or support your product if they don't like it probably also doesn't help things either. You'd think after the success of the likes of the Sonic movies, where the filmmakers listened to a lot of the feedback from fans, in regards to the likes of Sonic's horrible first design, and made ajustments which in turn helped make their movie a huge success. When you respect and give your customer what they want, they'll support you in turn. You'd think at this point, other studios would try to take this novel ideal onboard but alas.

These companies call their own fans an customers toxic for not liking a faulty product.
It illustrates how badly they are disconnected from their actual fans, and/or prospective audience. They think the actual fans are toxic but all the people they throw their slop to will eat it up - because that’s what they do. Supporting your message and buying your product are two disparate things.
I don't identify as toxic, I identify as right. If I don't like your effort, I'm not a fan. How can I be a toxic fan if I'm not a fan? If I am a fan of a different iteration, I am under no obligation to like another version, be it sequel, prequel, spinoff or reboot. Far more often than not, when someone criticizes the state of franchises, they give in depth details and reasons why. And far more often than not, the fans that disagree with those critics simply dismiss them as various -ists and -phobes with simpleminded responses like "Cry some more" or "Criticizing this hurts my ability to enjoy it" because, seemingly, they can't counter the points or even articulate why they like it. Who are the toxic ones here?

This reads more like trying to justify the choices producers have made than actually trying to zero in on the problem. If I'm served a half cooked meal at a restaurant, I don't go 'yum yum, more please' I politely complain and if they keep on giving me undercooked food I never return and tell other people about it.

If you cannot handle social media posts, how do you expect to write good content if your focus is on thinking about what was said in social media. Using toxic fandom as an excuse for your failures in writing Mr. Hedland then something's wrong internally. He knows he wrote that show terribly. He didn't care if he ruined Cannon and that's why it got canceled. The fans don't put up with that. That's why we all commented on how terrible the show was. How do you put Darth plagueis into this? That would ruin all of Canon for the prequels, the sequels and The originals all of it

What they should do the woke community start their own franchises. A franchise in similar to Star Trek and Star Wars, but not so similar that you could tell it's being ripped off. Use your imagination. Write it for a woke audience. Have nothing but woke characters and then there you go. Let's see how that goes. I'm sure it'd be highly successful. It's written for a certain audience. What's wrong with that? Why would you want people watching your product? Knowing knowing they're going to give you bad reviews? They're going to bomb it because why you're ripping off a franchise. Your writing is destroying the Canon of that franchise. I suppose negative publicity is still publicity nonetheless. Maybe that's why they don't write their own material with a wocust agenda.
