Don't buy Cadbury chocolate in the US because it's made by Herschey. We cannot export to the US as Herschey 'persuaded' the government to put an import ban on all chocolate imports. BBC America is a subscription channel, so you would have to purchase it in your TV package.
There is now 2 different Rolls Royce companies. they were once the same company but split with the car company being sold off to BMW and although owned by the German company the cars are still made in the UK. The other Rolls Royce company is a aerospace and defence company which plane / jet engines are very popular.
Whisky originated in Scotland, so it makes the best. Rolls Royce also make the best jet aircraft engines, for military & commercial purposes. The BBC does far more than news. You will have seen BBC programmes. Durex has become the generic name for condoms, even when not made by that company. Virgin began by Branson selling music albums at university, then opened record shops, later moving into radio, transport systems.
The shoe brand is 'Doctor Martens' or 'Doc Martens' - never said without the 'doctor' part. And are not a new brand at all! BBC America in 2023 was ranked as the 70th most watched network (both broadcast and cable) out of 159, averaging 190,000 viewers a day. So not huge, but significant. American Cadbury's is not the same as British Cadbury's. The recipe they use is closer to the Hershey's recipe than the original British recipe.
Whisky can only be produced in Scotland, Whiskey can be from anywhere and have to use the E in the spelling. Durex borrowed a sign off the rear of Wall's ice cream vans in the 50's/60's, 'Stop me and buy one' became 'Buy me and stop one' on their posters in barber shops until banned. Burberry and other luxury brands do little advertising as rely on word of mouth amongst well heeled clients. Rolls Royce also make Aero and Marine engines although that is now a separate company. The car company now owned by FoMoCo.

Unfortunately you Americans can't Cadbury chocolate. You do get a brown bar of toxic chemicals in a"Cadbury" wrapper. But due to the agreement for Hershey to made "Cadbury" chocolate. You can't get the proper Cadbury chocolate. So Hershey doesn't go out of business.
The Crash Test Dummies (albeit a Canadian band) mentioned Glenfiddich in a popular song in the 90s (When I go out with artists). Scotland is the home of whiskey.
The Hershey Company acquired the license to manufacture and market CADBURY products in the US in 1988. But it is not as good as Birmingham CADBURY in the UK.
@PeterDay81 Well if the USA cocks things up like everything else they do with most of their food, what do you expect? If you put some sort of acid in your chocolate that makes it taste of VOMIT, it's not going to go down too well in the rest of the World outside of Murica. Regards from Halifax, UK.
Dr Marten was originally a German brand. Dr. Klaus Märtens was a doctor in the German Army during World War II. After he injured his ankle, while skiing, in 1945, he found that his standard-issue army boots were too uncomfortable on his injured foot. While recuperating, he designed improvements to the boots, with soft leather and air-padded soles made of tyres. When the war ended and Germans looted valuables from their own cities, Märtens purchased leather from a shoemaker's shop. With that leather he made himself a pair of boots with air-cushioned soles. In 1947 Märtens did not have much success selling his shoes until he met up with an old university friend Herbert Funck in Munich. Funck was intrigued by the new shoe design, and the two went into business that year in Seeshaupt, Germany, using discarded rubber shaped by moulds. By 1959, the company had grown large enough that Märtens and Funck looked at marketing the footwear internationally. Almost immediately, British shoe manufacturer R. Griggs Group bought patent rights to manufacture the shoes in the United Kingdom. The R. Griggs Group anglicised the company name to Dr. Martens. The heel was reshaped for a better fit and the trademark yellow stitching was added. The "Air Wear" sole was formally trademarked in 1959.

DOC ("DOCK") Marten......never heard of them? WHAT!!??? Henry Royce made his first car in 1906 and was introduced to Charles Rolls, a motor car dealer, in the same year. The rest, as they say, is history. they started making aero engines in 1914 at the request of the British Government.
Jolly Scotch whisky from Scotland !! Who would have thought it ?!? 😂. You really need to look at your history ! American whiskey was first made in America by Scottish and Irish immigrants. Different, but the best they could make with local ingredients.
Dr. Marten's or as they are more commonly known Doc Marten's or just Doc's have formally been around since 1947 but this is taken directly off their websites History page: 1901 THE BEGINNINGS 'OF AN ICON'BORN FROM TRADITION & AUTHENTICITY Starting in 1901, the Griggs family were known for making boots in the small town of Wollaston, Northamptonshire in the English Midlands. They were at the very heart of the English shoe industry and for six decades Griggs’ footwear earned a solid reputation as sturdy, durable work boots. 1945 THE BEGINNINGS 'OF AN ICON'BORN FROM INNOVATION The story then switched to post-war Munich, 1945 and Dr. Klaus Maertens, a 25-year-old soldier. While convalescing from a broken foot he created a unique air-cushioned sole (rather than the traditional hard leather sole) to aid his recovery. Using a salvaged cobbler’s last and a needle, Maertens made a prototype shoe and showed it to an old university friend and mechanical engineer, Dr. Herbert Funk. The two went into partnership by using disused military supplies to begin producing their unique shoes. By 1947 they began formal production and within a decade had a booming business, mostly selling to older women. In 1959, they decided it was time to advertise their revolutionary footwear invention in overseas magazines.
The Hershey Company acquired the U.S. Cadbury license in 1988 allowing Hershey to make Cadbury products for the U.S. market, although it is universally know Hershey Cadbury is woefully inferior to British Cadbury due to Hershey's insistence of using artificial and cheaper ingredients

Atkinson is a huge car fanatic. He's featured on Top Gear a couple of times over the years.
And meanwhile both brands belong to German carmaker BMW 😂
Both german cars.
The BBC.... "it does even, like, TV shows?" I think this guy really is what he seems to be.....thick.
he thinks richard branson invented pickle
Remember that when people talk about drilling for gas - they mean 'gas' - they don't mean the derivative of oil which you call 'gas' and everyone else calls petrol (petroleum).
Fun fact, Rolls Royce makes more missiles than cars
I actually forgot they made cars until he mentioned it. I encounter the name in terms of aircraft engines more often.
Yes but missiles tend to be a use once item, if it doesn't "go off" you tend not to retrieve it and try again.
I'd assume they make anything with an engine. Take the world by storm and take on Dyson hoovers I say
@@smithy2365 I have a similar dislike (hatred) of Dyson, "world by storm", a fantastic song by The Three Johns 👍
Well, Rolls Royce cars are part of BMW now, Rolls Royce defence and aerospace is still UK owned.
I cannot believe that you have never heard of Scotch whiskey?!
Whisky, without the "e" (and often called "Scotch") is from Scotland.
Whiskey is from everywhere else.
There is NO SUCH THING as Scotch WhiskEy !
@@brentwoodbay Thank you, spellcheck.
@@charleshedley4381 not quite. New Zealand whisky is also whisky - our companies were founded by Scots. Same with Australia.
@@jamesdignanmusic2765 I didn't know that. That's the trouble: there's always somewhere that (with good reason, it makes perfect sense), is an exception to the rule. I'll have to go away and adjust my world view now.
Here's a new one for Tyler - the British Isles are British.
Mind blown.
I used to work at Shell, the V-Power is a 99 octane E5 unleaded petrol that has cleaning additives to clean your fuel injectors and anti-friction additives to reduce engine wear
If it is "fascinating" to him, why doesn't he listen to what they're saying? 😑
He is really starting to grate on me, he never listens to what he watches.
AND never reads the comments - so will never learn here! 😂
😂😂 he’s really hamming up the “clueless American” trope. There’s absolutely no way on gods earth that he hasn’t heard of Dr Martens. At this point they’re ubiquitous
I personally have more understanding as to why he may never have heard of Doc Martens than I do of how baffled he was at the concept of Scottish Whisky.
Why do you think Scotch is called "Scotch"? It comes from Scotland.
Dr Martens are super famous in America too. Probably the most famous boots worldwide.
You are hilariously clueless at times.
❤
This video was not your finest moment
OMG Tyler get your ears cleaned out and how do you not know about Scottish single malt. DM's are world wide. Hahaha BBC has to increase it advertising, oh dear you missed the point, NO ADS.
@gabbymcclymont3563 Yes. FFS Tyler, WAKE UP. Regards from Halifax, UK.
My friend met this American woman and the yank asked where she lived and the English woman said Cornwall and at the weekend she goes to the beach. The yank goes ' what do you mean the beach'. She thought that only America had beaches ! Seriously.
I have several American friends, some from NY,some from Cali, and two in Seattle (we are all telecoms engineers) and every one of them watches BBC America, some ONLY watch BBCA!
Bruv,you gotta get out more.
I have friends who live in England and they have never heard of " Still Game" . I work with apprentices who have no idea who Paul Daniel is.
@@michaelprobert4014 ah but would you refer to them as being normal and average people?
@@lynnejamieson2063 Yes indeed.
@@michaelprobert4014 Yes, unfortunately most youngsters from countries all around the World are becoming more and more naive about things in general. Even normal stuff from their own country, never mind from any other country. This amazes me a lot as information is so readily available on the Internet. If the Internet had been around when I was young, I would be tremendously intelligent now. Regards from Halifax, UK.
Doc Martens have been around for decades, they were very popular with the ‘skinheads’ when I was at school in the 70s.
I must be a time traveller cos I was wearing doc martens in the 90s 😂
Well I was wearing them in the late 60s and early 70s.
Doc Martens were LONG before this century even began.
Research,research,research.
Whilst watching another American video, the presenter was waxing lyrical about fourteenth century carvings. He suggested the stone masons drew the designs in pencil....the fact that pencils had not been invented was probably not on his Google phone 'research'!
Royal Dutch Shell was formed as a merger between a British and a Dutch company and was shared between the two countries, it was commonly known as just Shell though. In 2022 the company merged its shares, moved its HQ to London and changed its name to just Shell. So the video is a bit out of date.
BBC America is a basic cable channel so I’d imagine many Americans do know about it.
A British whisky brand he said surprisingly?!? Does he think there is only one. There are over 140 different distilleries in Scotland.
Tyler you live in your little American bubble
Scotland the home of whisky. He sounds surprised that whisky is made there. LOL!
I’m suprised this guy actually manages to turn on a light! I dispair for America if he truly is the average American! 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Actually, if Tyler were in England he probably couldn't manage to turn on the light. Switches in the U.S. are up for on !
You really need to listen more instead of making up your own story. The joys of adhd😂
Still got my docs from 1978
Good value for money ..I've got a pair of Kangeroo trainers that I bought in 1974 .
I used to call them Doc Martens. Did anyone else? It was just easier to say. I looked online & the company was founded in 1947. The guy who founded them wasn't happy with his current boots as they were hurting, so he invented his own.
Could have mentioned a lot more.

Just the thumbnail makes me bang my head on the wall .. how can anyone not know that Rolls Royce is British brand ? ... Next he shows footage of punks in the 70's and deduces that Doc Martens (founded 1945) were made since 2011 and are a recent brand . I think Tyler grew up living under a rock 😂
He's still under there.
Still living under a rock. Mind u im beginning to think this is all an act to get people piling in on the comments
So frustrating to listen to Tyler not listen properly,
I'm surprised Tyler has never heard of Glenfiddich whiskey. I live in a rural area of Thailand and if you go into the local 7-11, which are only small convenience stores, they sell Glenfiddich.
American cadbury is made under license by Hersey the vomit chocolate maker so it doesnt taste the same as UK cadbury
You need to review Britain in the 60s and when we became the fashion country of the World along with our pop music
How could anyone not know a roller is British that's an eye opener
Watchmojo get it wrong again, Doctor Marten's have been around for decades, got my first pair back in 1980. And US Cadbury is not really Cadbury, it's licensed by Hershey's in the US and they use the US recipes.
@martinsear5470 Yes, Watchmojo is nearly always wrong. This really isn't helping ignorant people who are confused enough. Regards from Halifax, UK.
Cadbury’s is not British anymore. Owned by kcraft an American company, which has ruined the chocolate.
Eh hardly, at least our version is still way better than the American version of Cadbury
😂triggered the fook out of me, thought you said refined , or that's what my eyes saw, was gonna call you childish names, but no, you clearly said ruined 😂👍
Yep, the chocolate is very disappointing now.
It isn't even square shaped now
Cadbury chocolate is really crap now, I'm sure they are lowering it's standard, so as it is equivalent to hersheys rubbish. Good thing about it, my chocolate intake has significantly reduced over the last years, so it's literally bittersweet 😂
Bless him.
They do say its good to learn something new everyday, and in Tylers case, everything is new because he retains 0% information. Love the videos though
Sometimes you are unbelievably daft.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tyler is like a lot of Americans I observe. They tend not to be aware of anything not made in USA or fashionable. 😅
BBC is not just the news. Imagine watching a drama or a movie on TV that's not interrupted by ANY adverts!!! That's the BBC.
Durex was Irish it was taken from the bowel of the sheep but it was the English that refined it by taking it out of the sheep before using it.
Lol
So your supposed to take it out ? Now you tell me 😊
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Best burn EVER!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If you see Cadburys make sure it isn't the Hersheys version.
Cadburys has proved to be very popular with Americans who have been sent some or, found it in stores like "Trader Joe's"
They went tae the us supreme court tae ban uk cadburys being sold in the us
@@simonmilne8208 Yes otherwise Hersheys would quickly go into liquid chocolate (liquidation) lol
Dr Martens have been popular for many years, I was wearing them in the late 60s and early 70s. We called them Bovver boots.
Tyler literally knows about anything at all whatsoever...not only has he been living under a rock but a complete quarry of rock covered over by more rocks
😂😂 Not wrong! He doesn't even know famous American things either
1:57 Hell No, Dr. Martens (or Doc Martens as they're more commonly known) have been around for decades (Was founded in 1945), they were EVERYWHERE in the 1980's, worn by punks, mods, all sorts. 2:09 Yup, Doc Martens definitely fit that description.
I would never call Burberry fashionable, it's usually an excellent marker of someone who is a bit of a tw@
Why does he dismiss/discount anything "not popular in America"? Like that's the standard to live up to? 😅
@nolajoy7759 Exactly. USA folk seem to think that Murica is the only place in the World. I read a while ago that the whole of USA only represents about five percent of the World population. It's not their fault however, as it is forced down their necks from an early age that USA is the biggest and best country in the World. A lot of the US reacters that I watch on here are beginning to realise pretty damn sharply that they have been lied to, to say the very least. Regards from Halifax, UK.
Don't buy Cadbury chocolate in the US because it's made by Herschey. We cannot export to the US as Herschey 'persuaded' the government to put an import ban on all chocolate imports. BBC America is a subscription channel, so you would have to purchase it in your TV package.
Not surprised -the US version of Cadbury is VILE so UK Cadbury would put Hershey out of business in a flash!
There is now 2 different Rolls Royce companies. they were once the same company but split with the car company being sold off to BMW and although owned by the German company the cars are still made in the UK.
The other Rolls Royce company is a aerospace and defence company which plane / jet engines are very popular.
These videos are always fun to watch. Someone who doesn't know anything about anything tells the world about, keep up the good work.
Hi Tyler... Firstly I love you... But secondly I can not believe how little you know about most of these things... It's amazing to hear your not familiar with most of these massive brands... I need to get you out of America and expand your ... Expand everything if you don't mind me saying lol... Love the channel ❤
Never heard of Scotch whisky.....WOW !!!!!!!
I’m British and I’ve never heard of ASOS.
Im Polish and i worked many years for ASOS in London.Located in Hampstead Rd. NW1
Tyler you need to read your comments more because they’re very critical of you and if I were you I’d be worried. Unless like someone suggested you put on a dumb act to get not so favourable comments. Which personally to me is pretty stupid. You should react more with your viewers of your videos like most TH-camrs do. Plus you need to fact check before you comment on things you don’t really know about before commenting.
He says he’s heard of RR and Shell, then two minutes later forgets that statement and says the BBC is the only one he’s heard of. Thick or what !!
You haven’t heard of Scotch whisky? I think they invented it…
DOC ("DOCK") Marten......never heard of them? WHAT!!??? Henry Royce made his first car in 1906 and was introduced to Charles Rolls, a motor car dealer, in the same year. The rest, as they say, is history. they started making aero engines in 1914 at the request of the British Government.
I would expect Trojan to be more popular in the USA considering they do smaller sizes......😂😂😂
Jolly Scotch whisky from Scotland !! Who would have thought it ?!? 😂. You really need to look at your history ! American whiskey was first made in America by Scottish and Irish immigrants. Different, but the best they could make with local ingredients.
BBC America has been around for years. If I had to guess, I'd say about 20 years or so. Maybe yourcable company doesn't offer it in your area
Dr. Marten's or as they are more commonly known Doc Marten's or just Doc's have formally been around since 1947 but this is taken directly off their websites History page:
1901
THE BEGINNINGS 'OF AN ICON'BORN FROM TRADITION & AUTHENTICITY
Starting in 1901, the Griggs family were known for making boots in the small town of Wollaston, Northamptonshire in the English Midlands. They were at the very heart of the English shoe industry and for six decades Griggs’ footwear earned a solid reputation as sturdy, durable work boots.
1945
THE BEGINNINGS 'OF AN ICON'BORN FROM INNOVATION
The story then switched to post-war Munich, 1945 and Dr.
I’m Canadian and I have heard of most of these.
Cadbury America is made under licence by Hershey's and does not taste the same as UK Cadbury's. Missed out Bentley cars
I’m beginning to be surprised Tyler manages to get dressed in the morning. How could anyone be so clueless.
Virgin started off as a record company!
You are gonna feel silly when you realize it's Doc Martens...love you Tyler, your humility and good natured attitude make you a breath of fresh air in a graceless world. You would make a great Canadian.🙏🎸🇨🇦
