There always crazy people at fast food. If you work there, you just learn not to care. I have to take order from 5 year old cuz their mom don't speak English. People shower in the bathroom. People threaten to stab you with knife. People just crazy at fast food. You just gotta let it go or you learn not to care.

I work there and I’ve never not seen our machine working so
the one question i was hoping for was "have you ever said that the shake/ice cream machine was down/being cleaned because you didn't want to hassle with making a shake?"
My sister used to work at Mcdonalds for years. They used to get her to start work at 3 in the morning and finish at 8 at night, and she'd have to be back the next day to do the same shift, this went on for months. She was severely underpaid and she tried talking to her manager about why she was being paid $4/hr less than her younger co-workers while she was still only being paid $9/hr when she was 20 years old. Her manager said if she didn't like it then leave. My sister later became the manager and quit soon after cause she was the only one at the restaurant pulling her work load.
The McDonald's I worked at had four competitor restaurants on the same street. Me and a few employees from each restaurant frequently went to our competitors for lunch break in uniform. We recognized each other and pretty much became friends from it 🤣

most of the time it doesnt need fixing. when we are cleaning it/when it's going through a heat cycle by itself you cant do anything about it.
We can’t fix it you have to call support to come down and repair it. Basic workers including managers have no idea/are not taught how to fix it. Only basic issues. But when it’s in heat mode it’s self cleaning and unless you want to get burned or serve hot liquid ice cream goo then trust me just go someplace else
I have (currently still am) been an employee at McDonald’s for about 3-4 years. I’m just doing it throughout highschool, and their is so many things that these people missed out on... obviously besides things like spitting in food or cussing out the customers or whatever I have witnessed or done most of these things. When McDonald’s closes (I’m in a smaller town so it isn’t 24 hours.) their is a lot of food extra that we can take home and the inventions I make would make your jaw drop. (I typically don’t eat it or I give it to my family if they are awake because I have a family of 6). But I’ll grab the biggest bun (the angus bun) and the biggest box and I’ll put chicken patty’s, nuggets, quarter pound meat, leaf lettuce, mac sauce, bacon, grilled onions, pickles, cheese etc. On a burger and make like 3 of them all just randomly slapped together with extra stuff we have that night. And I’ll bring home a couple brownies, muffins, a dozen cookies, fries, bagels etc. Since it’s all going to waste I might as well right, even if I don’t eat it, it’s still fun to make. And we do sooo much more things. I could go on for hours. If you have any questions about McDonalds I can answer them as well because I know 99% of everything about it, seeing as I do everything from kitchen, counter, drive through, lobby, maintenance, unloading the truck. Only things I don’t do are customer service (they survey people and how their experiences are and are in charge of running games with kids etc.) and management.

I worked at three different McDonald's restaurants and I loved it and hated it at the SAME time. Just depends on where you are and what you're doing. Some customers rock and some you wished you could serve them rocks. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤣🤣🤣🤗

I was standing outside taking orders for the drive thru once, and I was sooo hungry I kept messing up putting people's orders in and taking way too long to do it. But every time it happened, I just told them what was going on with me, and hella people gave me snacks and candy! It was so nice!!

1. Have - NEVER get all-day breakfast sandwiches
2. Have. Almost every shift.
3. Have not! I've thought about it but I needed the job.
4. Have not made ridiculous food items but I saw people do some crazy ish

I worked there for 3 years during college and university I loved it. UK might be different to the US but I left there with best friends who I'm still best friends with today 6 years later.
I recently got hired to work at McDonald's and will start job training soon. I fined this video interesting. Not one McDonald's is exactly the same; some people have bad managers, some good. Some have fifthly buildings, some have clean ones. You get the picture. People at my McDonald's seem like good hard working people! I'm nervous and exited to start working there! Our McDonald's is ranked in the top three McDonald's around us; so I have high hopes and plan to do my best! Maybe I can even help improve ours too :D!
