this seems like the most unbiased ranking i’ve seen so far. completely agree, the only thing i’d change is maybe switch yeseo and dayeon, but they’re pretty evenly matched. dayeon is less consistent, but her tone is better. yeseo is more consistent, but her voice is very nasally.

CLC was a very strong group vocally tho. She’s a great vocalist and always was but seunghee, sorn, elkie and seungyeon were better. Kep1er is not as strong vocally.
I think chaehyun has more technic for Ballad songs like chaewon/yuri from izone and Youngeun has more powerfull voice like eunbi, but I think both will get high notes depending of the song

youngeun really proved to us that she’s an ace imagine she’s still so young, haven’t trained for so long and haven’t trained that properly yet she is still so good at everything, she lacks nothing. she can belt, her dance moves were executed properly, and has this diff kind of swag when rapping. she’s been a backup dancer when she was still 14, and she trained for ballerina and taekwondo too. Glad Chaehyun got to debut as the main vocal of Kep1er. Out of all the contestants, she had the overall best singing technique with Bora, a close second. I personally also found Chaehyuns vocal tone to be the most pleasant to listen.
I agree she had good singing technique, but she had stamina issues that made her voice crack sometimes. I would actually argue that Yeyoung was the second most skilled vocalist after Bora based on her agility, stability while high-paced dancing and vibrato control - still love Chaehyun’s voice tho
@@sarahhchan the vocal technique I’m talking about is breathe support, which for the most part, is purely how well a singer can execute a note and secondly how many notes they can sing with good quality. There’s levels to how bad a singer can sing a note and levels to how well a singer can sing a note. Most Kpop companies choose vocal positions based on what I’m talking about and not necessarily all the extra stuff u mentioned. I mentioned vocal tone as a personal thing cuz tone isn’t indicative to vocal technique, BUT there’s people that will get tricked into thinking a singer is worse or better based on their tone. Stamina is good if ur dancing and or doing a lot of singing, but that doesn’t mean anything when it comes to how well a vocalist can sing a note.
hiyyih is so underappreciated as well she has the 5th best technique and v stable she should be sm higher and in my opinion higher then yesso and dayeon but its sad cuz people don't appreciate her enough

Hikaru has a very stable voice and her intonation is really good, anyone who have good hearing will admit that she is not the worst vocalist among them. I really hope that when they debut, she'd be given a chance to take vocal parts so people would no longer discredit her skills.

Ok so I'm one of the few people who actually love Yeseo's unique bright tone. It has such a cheery energy but she supports her notes well. If she didn't, that's when her tone would sound grading instead of song bird like. Mashiro's low tone and unique style of singing is infectiously good and underrated. Can't wait to hear the lines she gets. Chaehyun is my one pick and has been since Black Mamba. I'm a sucker because I'm SM trash and a diehard Taeyeon fan. So when I heard Chaehyun's gorgeous covers I was blown away. So light and breathy but yet powerful! All she needs is stronger breath control and she will be a monster vocalist. I'm SO excited. Youngeun really was the dark horse of the series. She surprised me every single time and then suddenly revealing she's a power vocalist with the support to back it up? She didn't struggle at all in the high notes of You + Me = Love. Very reminiscent of Jo Yuri and her full sounding yet breathy tone. XIao Ting has a really pretty tone and Dayeon has a fantastic lower register and very charismatic line delivery. Yujin is an insanely talented dancer and a fantastic singer too. She's not focused on main vocal as her training since she is a dancer so for her to step up to the plate like she did in GP999. Respect. I think she still forces a few notes but it's not her fault, they are generally out of her comfort range and shes just giving it all but that kind of singing could be dangerous for her voice in repeated live scenarios. Granted, her notes don't sound bad, I can just tell when she is straining and I'm like "Gurl no, your voice is precious!" Bahiyyih actually has a really nice tone and with further vocal training she has a lot of potential. She just needs more confidence and technique but she has vocal talent that simply needs to be honed. Hikaru is like Lisa in the sense that her range is deeper and underappreciated in kpop but would thrive in a hip hop concept. Her rap makes up for any vocal short comings because well, we all fell in love with her charisma and stage presence when she covered Boombayah. *Sheds a Tear for Shana* Moral of the story is that I'm super pumped for the type of soundscape that their producers will work with that will best utilize their unique tones and how to mix it all together to make magic, like for instance, Shine. I think yujin can get the high notes so she is the one of the member suite if they have high note in their songs, but chaehyun good too and her voice is strong strong
My ranking: 1) Youngeun/Chaehyun: main vocal material, their styles are different but thats what makes them complement each other 2) Yujin: i was so suprised with her high note in shoot she has A LOT of potencial 3) Mashiro/Bahiyyih: soooo stable i really REALLY like the vocal tone of these two, lead vocal material indeed 4) Dayeon: no wonder why she was K1 she slays her verses 5) Hikaru: although we seen more of her rap i think she has a sweet and stable voice 6) Yeseo/Xiaoting: i think they would slay center lines All of them are good vocalist literally there's no hole but this is based in my personal preference
Literally nobody’s bad it’s amazing. Hikaru just doesn’t focus on vocals and neither does Xiaoting really, she did rap in her demo stage but she’s getting so good
hikaru actually has potential (same for xiaoting) if im not wrong karu used to sing before the show anyways so not just rap and some of the vocals in the no excuses are hers but since it's pre recorded people didn't really noticed but they're great! compared to the others she ends up being 9th but she's doing great

She’s not better than dayeon or Yeseo though. She has good stability but her voice is under developed. With a bit more training she could definitely move up though.
Bahiyyih usually sings under certain range though, maybe we havent seen more from her : o

@@siennahartle9069 i dont think yeseo is better vocally than dayeon or hiyyih to be very honest. Hiyyihs vocals are more stable than yeseos as I've heard yeseos voice crack quite a bit and hiyyihs less to none. Dayeon is w.o a doubt better than yeseo at least. Theyre all great singers tho

Ppl say gp999 contestants or Kep1er's members are untalented, but I disagree. They're just not more focus one skills, instead all of them are well rounded! It's honestly like a group of Yena's.
Truuuue, they are even more well rounded than IZ*ONE cause all the members can actually sing and stable(I hate colparing but I had to)
not to mention, iz*one’s best dancers are also their best vocalists, so there was a lot of deadweight in terms of members with no main/lead positions. But i feel like in kep1er, while they don’t have a standout main vocalist like yuri, or standout main dancer like chaeyeon, they’re all well rounded. I think they could be a group without fixed positions like rocket punch
@@nmixx.changeupletsgo im not so sure about the first sentence, yuri is by far izone's strongest vocalist but she isnt one of the stronger ones when it comes to dance. maybe the dance line might kinda fit this description better (with a few exceptions, im mainly talking about those who are in both dance and vocal line when i say the dance line might fit this description better). however, those that are in both typically excel more in dance, they're vocals are weaker (from what i heard yena is shallow, eunbi is inconsistent with her support and the rest pretty much dont at all but once again i could be wrong)

Ok so I'm one of the few people who actually love Yeseo's unique bright tone. It has such a cheery energy but she supports her notes well. If she didn't, that's when her tone would sound grading instead of song bird like.
Mashiro's low tone and unique style of singing is infectiously good and underrated. Can't wait to hear the lines she gets.
Chaehyun is my one pick and has been since Black Mamba. I'm a sucker because I'm SM trash and a diehard Taeyeon fan. So when I heard Chaehyun's gorgeous covers I was blown away. So light and breathy but yet powerful! All she needs is stronger breath control and she will be a monster vocalist. I'm SO excited.
Youngeun really was the dark horse of the series. She surprised me every single time and then suddenly revealing she's a power vocalist with the support to back it up? She didn't struggle at all in the high notes of You + Me = Love. Very reminiscent of Jo Yuri and her full sounding yet breathy tone.
XIao Ting has a really pretty tone and Dayeon has a fantastic lower register and very charismatic line delivery.
Yujin is an insanely talented dancer and a fantastic singer too. She's not focused on main vocal as her training since she is a dancer so for her to step up to the plate like she did in GP999. Respect. I think she still forces a few notes but it's not her fault, they are generally out of her comfort range and shes just giving it all but that kind of singing could be dangerous for her voice in repeated live scenarios. Granted, her notes don't sound bad, I can just tell when she is straining and I'm like "Gurl no, your voice is precious!"
Bahiyyih actually has a really nice tone and with further vocal training she has a lot of potential. She just needs more confidence and technique but she has vocal talent that simply needs to be honed.
Hikaru is like Lisa in the sense that her range is deeper and underappreciated in kpop but would thrive in a hip hop concept. Her rap makes up for any vocal short comings because well, we all fell in love with her charisma and stage presence when she covered Boombayah. *Sheds a Tear for Shana*
Moral of the story is that I'm super pumped for the type of soundscape that their producers will work with that will best utilize their unique tones and how to mix it all together to make magic, like for instance, Shine. T_T

1) Youngeun/Chaehyun: main vocal material, their styles are different but thats what makes them complement each other
2) Yujin: i was so suprised with her high note in shoot she has A LOT of potencial
3) Mashiro/Bahiyyih: soooo stable i really REALLY like the vocal tone of these two, lead vocal material indeed
4) Dayeon: no wonder why she was K1 she slays her verses
5) Hikaru: although we seen more of her rap i think she has a sweet and stable voice
6) Yeseo/Xiaoting: i think they would slay center lines
All of them are good vocalist literally there's no hole but this is based in my personal preference

Literally nobody’s bad it’s amazing. Hikaru just doesn’t focus on vocals and neither does Xiaoting really, she did rap in her demo stage but she’s getting so good
hikaru actually has potential (same for xiaoting) if im not wrong karu used to sing before the show anyways so not just rap and some of the vocals in the no excuses are hers but since it's pre recorded people didn't really noticed but they're great! compared to the others she ends up being 9th but she's doing great

As a Cheshire I feel so proud seeing Yujin as no.3 and being able to hear the way it’s true her skills are so good. In CLC she’s at the bottom regarding vocal abilities (still good but others are better) so I feel really proud
