By the end of the show audiences was looking at main vocalists, and main vocal ace youngeun showed that she really deserved the spot.

Exactly, my favorite has always been Hikaru but honestly I was rooting so damn much for Youngeun, while I was choosing my top9 near the end of the show all I could think was Youngeun MUST debut, I love Hikaru and voted for her in the finals, but imo Youngeun was the true ace of this show, her outstanding skills from rap, to dance and vocals, killing every different concept, she's a gem (I still love you Hikaru lol)
Agree with most of these. I don't think Mashiro really punched her ticket until Mafia in the Morning. I already knew she was very stable, but I was seriously surprised and impressed by her vocal power and concept versatility in the Mafia stage. Also wouldn't call Shaoting a lock right off the bat, I'd say it was the Snake stage when she finally gave us a performance that was way too good to have any doubt left, even with the screwy voting system.
I agree...I was doubtful of mashiro not until mitm...as well as xiaoting, I was constantly asking myself if her spot was secured because of her inconsistency in performances (hylt, fate) but snake proved that she's the most suitable trainee to be the center

I can never forget how Jia was giving her the side-eye like "girl stop it you're embarrassing me". Their dynamic was really one of my favorites on the show. Youngeun being the over the top chaotic dork she is and Jia being the more level-headed reserved person, they were really different but their friendship and support for one another was so genuine and cute.
I would argue that My House was the turning point for Youngeun, although Kick It was big for her it was really My House that brought in a lot of support for her. U+Me winning that mission is definitely what TECHNICALLY solidified her place in the finale. However, My House just really brought a lot of attention to Youngeun. I see why you chose U+Me though, it makes sense. Mashiro definitely got eyes on her after DumDi DumDi, but I think MITM helped a LOT. Views for her fancams skyrocketed after that performance, and it’s when people realized that she’s a great leader who is able to get her team wins. Yujin probably secured a debut when she was announced that she was on the show, but I think even more is when she admitted that CLC was dismissed and her company wasn’t supporting her anymore. People realized that she really deserved a better chance, and watching her perform confirmed it. Hikaru, I would say was secured through the O.O.O performance, people loved the attitude she had performing such a sweet song. 😂 Yeseo caught people’s eye with Crazy, got more support through Fiesta, and then kicked off with Fate. I think anything between demo to finale could’ve cemented her place in the debut lineup, easily.
I just didn’t like the performance (bubble pop) of yujin (the song choice wasn’t the best for her I also know she’s not the one who choose it) as someone who only really discovered her during gp999 I still think it was obvious that the group needed her
Yeong Eun and Hikaru always gave extraordinary performances.......in all the later missions, they didn't get many significant roles but in the part they did......they always killed it
For me, the moment the "kick it" performance ended,I said to myself "this girl NEEDS to debut!" And I dedicated myself to stanning Seo Young Eun and making sure it happened. "Kick it" is what got her the fanbase and kept her ranking stable in ranking 1 and 2. (I'm not counting the judges ranking cause it was based on the judges and not popularity vote.) "My House" helped her fanbase grow. And with the help of the two benefits, she made Top 9. "U+Me=Love" was what cemented her spot in the group. That was how she came to rank 8th in Korean votes, 3rd internationally, and 5th overall.
I would almost say as soon as the judges said for Dayeon, "We didn't put you top 9 candidate because we knew you would get there eventually" was a dead give away she would debut.
if mnet rigged the show, then yes mnet would put dayeon in TOP9. if mnet didn’t rigged the show because of the police, I think the judges mean that dayeon has the potential to debut so she doesn’t need the TOP 9 spot to prove her ability. either wise, IT WAS FUKCING ILLEGAL TO REMOVE HER! Every performance that Youngeun did is spectacular but admit it guys her personality and attitude in the whole show is amazing. She never complain, no drama just pure skills and talent. We all know how talented but the thing that stand out the most to me is the way she handles every missions, she's so bright and always bring a positive atmosphere in the group. I noticed Youngeun at the audition. After that she kinda fell off my radar until she fought for main vocal. After u+me, I knew was an ace. Vocals Dance and Rap. She's amazing.
I feel like not only Huening Bahiyyih but Choi Yujin as well were “guaranteed” to be in the final lineup, when the first teasers of them joining the competition were out.
I don't feel so. I feel like mnet doesn't want her to be part of the lineup. But since she got a strong fanbase, she eventually made it. During demo stage, i felt like mnet used her just for that ep. The next ep, she didn't appear much, so i think, yeahh, mnet didn't want her. After some time, i can see the power of her fanbase, and mnet cannot do anything abt it.
Personal opinion but Bahiyyih didn't deserve her spot. Rui Qi Yerina Cai Bing ect were much better for it. Bahiyyih got attention because of her brother not because she did much

Yeseo's first part in Fate really drawn attention. It was literally captivating. It was the time that she was all over my FYP, and Twitter. Her eyes, her face is already telling a story even before the performance started. I admire how mature she thinks and acts even being one of the youngest in the show. Youngeun already blew me away in How You Like That! She's one of the best vocalists in the show. She's stable. She can adapt to any genre. She has a wide range.
I would say youngeun's was with the Kick It demo stage and mashiro's with Mafia in the morning. With xiaoting i agree it was when she was revealed at center, but for some reason there was people who doubted her but were convinced with her performance as center in Snake

No, at first I already can see who's gonna debut, and it's became true, 8 of 9 members from my prediction they all make it. Hikaru, Yurina, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Xiaoting, Yeseo, Youngeun, Mashiro, and yujin. Only yurina didn't make it. I thought they will allow debut line up has more than 3 foreigners since mashiro is look likes korean for me cuz she is so fluent in korean language. Yurina and Bahiyyih are really the plot twist for me.
true, we all thought that cgroup and jgroup trainees would fall out because of the 50-50% voting and the cgroup except xiaoting was getting evil edited. then yeseo, she was already falling out and the 50-50% kinda help her (she still deserve to debut). chaehyun fell out previously but it was a wake up call for everyone to vote for her so i was pretty sure that she would debut especially because of the 50-50% voting. dayeon surely would debut because she was quite popular in korea and the voting also helped. youngeun i dunno? i was pretty surprise that she made it but also kinna expected it because she is korean (yes she has the talent to debut too). i expected huening bayyihih to debut after one-pick because I knew her fanbase was extrelmy strong but I didn’t know that the votes can change that drastic because the show is less popular than I thought so the votes changed so easily lol.
This compilation low-key revealed their possible positions. Mashiro is not my pick but I'm glad that she'll be part of the group since she has a different vocal tone (thick vocal on mid range). It'll balance the overall sound of the group. The center position will be up with either Yeseo or Xiaoting. I can sense tho that Yeseo has higher chance of getting the spot since she is more versatile (based on the show we have seen her do cute type of songs). But it'll depend on Kep1er's concept-- should it be girl crush, Xiaoting perfectly fits the spot. Wishing these girls well. They all worked hard. I also extend my best wishes for Youngeun's future career. I think she suits going solo, being the ace she is.

The reason Mnet tried hard in editing to emphasize favor towards Dayeon was so that #1 would go to a Korean contestant. They didn't want the center of their kpop group to not be Korean.
Chaehyun is center. She literally placed #1 and that's the sole benefit of being #1. The rest of the rankings don't really matter except #1. It's also why Mnet created so many evil narratives of the Chinese members and kept pushing for Dayeon.. in order to get a Korean member to be #1 in the end. I saw on twitter that youngeun gain supporters after she announced as the member of kep1er, I'm just happy that so many people support her now because I remember we are just small and dedicated fandom in the beginning. for me youngeun's audition with jia was the deciding moment for me. her change in personality was cool, her charisma was off the charts. xiaoting - the o.o.o video of her centre. her natural beauty was breath-taking (same) kim chaehyun - her audition video where she sang + the fact she was an sm trainee. i have a soft spot form female sm trainees, because they have always blown me away with their vocals (rest weren't my picks but i agree these moments were very impactful)
For Yujin I would add her performance in Shoot. Her taking the responsibility as a kind and understanding leader and the main vocal position is what made people love her even more.

tbh I didn't think hiyyih was gonna debut when the show announced that she's joined, nor after the evaluation either bc I could see how the judges overlooked the whole team. Fiesta was the start of her new fans and that bite me moment was where she def got more attention. But to me it was shoot- not the mission stages but the one for Halloween. Hse was so cute there that even tho I never considered her debut before, I wanted her to debut from then. She's pretty good imo- she has never made any mistakes on stage and is always stable(which kinda is a big deal to fans(not me) these days. It wasn't expected but I'm glad she made it to top 9.

I never planned to watch. I was up early (like 7:30-8am my time) one morning on TH-cam and it was already playing, decided to watch and see what the hype was about regarding the show and everyone on it.. it intrigued me so much. I came into the show at episode 5 I think. Took me a while to remember anyones name as I only recognized maybe a handful due to articles about the show but each week I became more intrigued by certain members and most actually made the final line up in the end. It was a wild ride watching the show but I am personally glad it’s over.
I didn't know even kniw who Youngeun was until she debuted I wad like, who?? when they called her name. So I watched the first performance again and when I realized she was the Kick It girl, I thought damn! Idk why I thought that girl was eliminated already. Her U+Me and Kick It performance proves just how versatile she is. So happy for her.

I would argue that My House was the turning point for Youngeun, although Kick It was big for her it was really My House that brought in a lot of support for her. U+Me winning that mission is definitely what TECHNICALLY solidified her place in the finale. However, My House just really brought a lot of attention to Youngeun. I see why you chose U+Me though, it makes sense.
Mashiro definitely got eyes on her after DumDi DumDi, but I think MITM helped a LOT. Views for her fancams skyrocketed after that performance, and it’s when people realized that she’s a great leader who is able to get her team wins.
Yujin probably secured a debut when she was announced that she was on the show, but I think even more is when she admitted that CLC was dismissed and her company wasn’t supporting her anymore. People realized that she really deserved a better chance, and watching her perform confirmed it.
Hikaru, I would say was secured through the O.O.O performance, people loved the attitude she had performing such a sweet song. 😂

Yeong Eun and Hikaru always gave extraordinary performances.......in all the later missions, they didn't get many significant roles but in the part they did......they always killed it
For me, the moment the "kick it" performance ended,I said to myself "this girl NEEDS to debut!" And I dedicated myself to stanning Seo Young Eun and making sure it happened.
"Kick it" is what got her the fanbase and kept her ranking stable in ranking 1 and 2. (I'm not counting the judges ranking cause it was based on the judges and not popularity vote.)

I don't feel so. I feel like mnet doesn't want her to be part of the lineup. But since she got a strong fanbase, she eventually made it. During demo stage, i felt like mnet used her just for that ep. No, at first I already can see who's gonna debut, and it's became true, 8 of 9 members from my prediction they all make it. Hikaru, Yurina, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Xiaoting, Yeseo, Youngeun, Mashiro, and yujin. Only yurina didn't make it. I thought they will allow debut line up has more than 3 foreigners since mashiro is look likes korean for me cuz she is so fluent in korean language. The reason Mnet tried hard in editing to emphasize favor towards Dayeon was so that #1 would go to a Korean contestant. They didn't want the center of their kpop group to not be Korean.
Chaehyun is center. She literally placed #1 and that's the sole benefit of being #1. The rest of the rankings don't really matter except #1. It's also why Mnet created so many evil narratives of the Chinese members and kept pushing for Dayeon.. in order to get a Korean member to be #1 in the end. Fiesta was the start of her new fans and that bite me moment was where she def got more attention. But to me it was shoot- not the mission stages but the one for Halloween. Hse was so cute there that even tho I never considered her debut before, I wanted her to debut from then. She's pretty good imo- she has never made any mistakes on stage and is always stable(which kinda is a big deal to fans(not me) these days. It wasn't expected but I'm glad she made it to top 9.
The group is really strong in my opinion. They have no lack. Cje&m can pull any type of concept with them.

I never planned to watch. I was up early (like 7:30-8am my time) one morning on TH-cam and it was already playing, decided to watch and see what the hype was about regarding the show and everyone on it.. it intrigued me so much. I came into the show at episode 5 I think. Took me a while to remember anyones name as I only recognized maybe a handful due to articles about the show but each week I became more intrigued by certain members and most actually made the final line up in the end. It was a wild ride watching the show but I am personally glad it’s over.
I didn't know even kniw who Youngeun was until she debuted I wad like, who?? when they called her name. So I watched the first performance again and when I realized she was the Kick It girl, I thought damn! Idk why I thought that girl was eliminated already. Her U+Me and Kick It performance proves just how versatile she is. So happy for her.
im like really sad yurina didnt debut because she completely stood out when she sang Fancy
For Xiaoting it was actually Snake, for Mashiro Mafia in the morning and for Youngeun every performance cause she's so good
