I love "grand piano" one of the best loudspeakers by SF
The looks the sound, something about Sonus Faber speakers. This model, what can one say, outstanding without breaking the bank. Sweet.

I bought SF Concertos before Thanksgiving 2021, matched it with their original center this Black Friday. They sound unbelievably realistic, and with a mid class AV receiver. I've no plans to upgrade anything with the price spikes lately. I'm so satisfied.

I just bought a pair of these SF speakers in like new condition, with piano black lacquer side panels. These retailed for $3700 16 years ago. From what I read, they started off around $3200 but SF bumped the price up $500 during production. I also read that these are a Franco Serblin designed speaker. I listened to this video before buying the speakers and you know, they sound just like they do in this video. Obviously better in real life. These are some great speakers. Very special. These speakers are good enough to pair with some higher end electronics. For what these are selling for on the used market they are a steal. Thanks for the great video.

I have owned a pair from new so well over twenty years. My pair came with a pair of 'marble' plinths drilled to take the spikes. They really sound great for all styles of music.
Each of my speakers stand on three spikes not four.

I inherited a pair of these, as well as a Krell Showcase preamp and amp. Having been exposed to very few sound systems that were worth a damn (save for a nice rig my brother put together many years ago where he was happy to spend what appeared to be the GDP of a small country on speaker cable), I assumed that it would do a good job of playing things loudly, with zero artifacts or distortion. What I was NOT prepared for was what a startling difference it made WELL beyond that. There is SO much nuance to be enjoyed in so many different recordings, whether it's a well-recorded orchestral piece, 3 piece guitar/bass/drums (Julian Lage!), Medeski Martin & Wood, or Tool. I feel incredibly lucky to have the setup and have been enjoying the bejesus out of it. Through a stroke of luck, there's also a center and rear channels (also Sonus Faber), and I've since added a REL HT/1510 Predator sub. I've found myself loving the 2-channel config for music and the surround system for movies/shows. Life is good!
If anyone is contemplating delving into this world, do your research, spend wisely, and enjoy the result.

I think that would be a good idea to put the microphone steady on the sweetspot for 1 or 2 minutes so we can llsten closely the overall speaker sound

Love the naturalness and warmth from these speakers. A tad boxy maybe or maybe its the room or recording.
A bit loose in the bass. Restrained treble.
But very comforting to the ears.

Awesome demo's. I only dream of having access to this many quality speakers. Any chance you might have some Martin Logan's in there. I have been thinking about the Motion 60XTI but still have a ton to look at :-).
They're very good, more so if you get a sale price on them. The only other one I liked is the tannoy, followed by klipsch, didnt' care for the linn one though. All in the same price level, I got a killer price on mine, but if i had to pay retail then probably the Tannoy 8 something.

I own the whole system sans the subwoofer. GP Homes, Concerto, Concertino, and Solo all in Piano Black except for the Concertos, of course in that beautiful walnut. I am in the HIFI business. These are gems. The concept was to make a truly high-end speaker but to engineer the price out. The cabinets are mdf wrapped in a leatherette. Scanspeak and Seas drivers. They follow Franco Serblins philosophy of simplicity. He disliked the complexity of bi-wiring. He believed in tuning the speaker with the crossover; a mistake I feel the current design team reintroduced. All of the last FS speaker of SF (cool how he did that, right?), we’re not bidirectional. Even the Stradavari! That’s why these sound good on descent midfi AV receivers. These are speakers I will never get rid of. They just SING!! I am making an atmos system paired up with MK Sound. They actually sound good together.

Grande delusione che ricordo ancora ..suono povero e senza corpo ben diverso da quello che avevo sentito in negozio. Dopo anni ho scoperto che il cablaggio interno di una cassa era stato realizzato al contrario ! Al più corrispondeva il meno e altoparlanti in controfase con buona pace del controllo qualità SF! Tante scuse e un omaggio ma passato a B&W.
