My hat is off to any team that would actually make all those random parts cooperate together for that long!
Damn that was a good save. Nice driving!
Contraption is definitely the correct word for this car.
"this project wasn't really about what might work on paper; it was more about what do we know about, and what do we have lying around?"
this is the way
I was gonna come in here all indignant about this video not covering the East Coast team 2-broke 2-care's Benz-diesel E30 that debuted this past season but then the full list of swappage kept going and going on this older car and I have to say... fair play!
I thought it was about that car as well. I was judging the CT race when 2 Broke 2 Care debuted the car. It was glorious and loved seeing it on the track. Too bad they aren't closer together, could have a Mercedes Diesel swapped BMW show down.
@@chrishaase We got in contact with them. Maybe.
Tow truck overtake killed me, God bless those people.
God I wish we had these in Australia. Hard enough to find ANY racetracks here. Let alone something like this.
You guys got an Austin Marina with a six ! Ours only had a four cylinder.
The "Big Enough" boost meme at 3:59 is awesome.
I loved all my 617s, but, after 20 years of cruisers with slushboxes, I needed a manual. Silly me for not thinking of stuffing one in a BMW with a Nissan transmission!
This is completally wrong. You know what would simply dominate? - a EG Honda Civic with a Buick 3800 V6. That Japanese double wishbone suspension mated with the GM sound of power is the combination of pure excellence.
Now that's what I call a Super Frankenstein!
I love the Lemon's culture. I'm in SLC, hit me up if you want a rando internet guy with spare time to support your class c team.
Diesel is the answer!
My daily driver is a '90 Cavalier with the Briggs & Stratton 2.2 liter, mated to a THM125. Very reliable, but very coarse.
Love Merc OM engines
People have asked me why I put a vr6 in our lemons fiat x1/9, and the reason is...because there was a vr6 sitting in the corner of my shop for years.
Heroicness! Funny its @$s end is so squirrely.
A 1975 Chevy Impala wagon with two 670 predator V-Twins mounted in back, each engine driving one wheel with a CVT/chain drive setup. Cut off everything excess for weight reduction leaving only cage and body panels. Think a swollen twin McCullough engine gokart from the 60's...with a body! It will totally dominate and be super easy to work on! Rear engine supercar!
with a top speed all of 45mph :P
@@isaactheisaac Yeah but if it does that ALL DAY LONG with no fuel stops....it will DOMINATE! Endurance and stuff!
@@isaactheisaac And I bet I can get at least 57.683mph...with turbos!
Looks like a AW11 wing on the back.
It is.
