From a fan perspective, the process of leaving her off the Olympic team was intentional and biased against Clark simply because she is exceptional on and off the court. The WNBA and FIBA cannot stand who she is, because she is everything they are not. Jealousy, racism, sexism all those insidious negative emotions were entirely on display with this decision. You can tell by the coaches tweets before anyone was selected. Idiocy, pure and simple.

It’s funny, before a month or so ago….I only knew one WNBA player….for being in jail in Russia….thats it. Bill Burr was correct…..couldn’t name one team, player, could care less, etc. It seems like the WNBA only wants black lgbt fans…..do they understand that’s a very small group of people? They should be thanking CC for getting so many eyeballs…..because as you’re watching, you learn other players, teams, etc. Who knows if this will continue next year. The drama and agenda is a turnoff. Sports should be an escape, and for all fans…..not just the ones you deem on your political side.

For the record, I’m not a basketball fan. Never was and probably never will with one exception. Today I went to the DVR and found every Indiana Fever Games to record. The single reason is that Caitlin Clark is a class act. She represents everything that athletes should be. A hard worker, doesn’t complain, consummate professional and supports her team. When face with a challenge, she confronts it. Not in a whiny I’m the victim attitude. For me she is the most exciting athlete to watch. The WNBA is blowing it. Hopefully sooner than later, they’ll figure it out. And if the league doesn’t figure it out, you know Indiana is going to. What’s going to be on my Christmas list? Womens basketball is a gimme gold event for the U.S. in the Olympics. No other country comes anywhere near the U.S. Its been more than 30 years since their last loss. This was an opportunity for womens basketball to get everything they said they wanted. More exposure, more money, more viewers during the Olympics, and more of just about everything the players say they want. There would be no chance of a loss anywhere along the way. And they gave it all up out of petty jealousy. What they did was like leaving Michael Jordan off the Dream Team.

I have been a basketball fan for over 65 years. Omitting Caitlin Clark from the 2024 Olympic Team is an embarrassment for those making the selections. If tenure in the WNBA is the overriding criterion for selection, then apparently, talent and winning aren't that important. She is undoubtedly the most exciting and talented player to come along in women's basketball... and also a 'class act'. Jealousy and reverse discrimination? Sure looks bad on both counts. Keep taking the high road, Caitlin.

I say she is a great player but not the best. at the moment... from saying the best plays and growing the league are 2 different arguments.. AjA could do just the same. she is a scoring muchine.. and don't give me that she doesn't bring in fans or what not because like I said GROWNING THE LEAGUE AND BEST PLAYER ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT ARGUMENTS ETC..

CC sits atop the ENTIRE LNBA accounting for 713 points, points and assists, prior to today's game
      A'ja is 4th
CC is THE ONLY rookie EVER to post a triple double in the 27 year history of the league
      CC is THE ONLY player averaging 15 5 & 5 in the ENTIRE league it's really 17 6 7
CC is THE ONLY rookie EVER to have 300 points 150 assists 100 rebounds in a SEASON that will only grow as she's only played HALF a season.
CC just posted a Historical STAT line 29p 13a 5r 5s 3b that's never been done before in the LNBA and not since 73 in the NBA
      Last yrs all-star voting A'ja 90,000
This yr all-star voting CC 700,000
CC is driving exposure and showing out on the court.
