Poor Greenskins. Too underpowered without artillery of their own. I'd like to see the CHaos Dwarves face the artillery of the Cathay.

Chaos Dwarfs with their peak artilery are OP as f. Earthshockers are real gamechanger- you used them on strongest units and slow them, while you take care of beast and other.
The mechanized brutality of this fight makes it sooooo satisfying. I have never, ever, seen trolls fly up in the air due to an artillery barrage. Warms the cockles of me own heart.

The shot of Grimgor walking among all those corpses and then sprinting headfirst into a firing line was great.
For Real. The CD saw Grimgor coming and knew if they didn't bring that beast down before he closed the gap they were in for a world of hurt

Doesn't help when all of the battles seem custom tailored to chaos dwarves. No ranged units, fliers or cav EVER outflanks to get to the stupid cannons and gun lines the dwarves have. They just ever send meat shield waves at them. Maybe the channel gets paid by the game developers and GW to make a certain army look good.

@@jlawsl flanking cavalry is pretty easy to counter with wolf raiders with spears - they're not going to win, but they'll lock down a unit of empire knights long enough for artillery and infernal guard fireglaives to tear them apart.
these battles aren't meant to show proper total warhammer battle tactics, they're meant to look pretty.
Chaos Dwarfs gotta be one of the coolest factions in all of total war. Not really my play style but damn are they badass.
Am I the only one that really doesn't like how when the giant units swing those huge fuckin clubs in like a sideswipe motion, the units their attacking don't go flying. It's only when they slam it downward that you see units actually go airborne from the impact

I wish I was good at games like these. I loose my patience almost immediately and end up giving up on them. Warhammer 3' roster of factions is incredible.
Where's the green skin cavalry? They could have won just by rushing cavalry against mortars and archers.

Unit choice is definitely leaning towards one side aha Satisfying battle non the less
sneaky gits were shown but we didn't see them try to flank around and attack the artillery. Its not just unit choice but how they were used
@@extratayodancer I mean the blunderbusses and the fireglaives were also left fighting in the front lines, while the melee infantry sat behind them and just stood there for a long ass time.
If you decide to fight this battle again, try having the chaos dwarfs use carolean ga pa tactics against the greenskins.
Its funny because in lore this is not what happened at all. Infact grimgor exterminated CD. Unfortunately the factions always mess up the balance of things. This is just proof of that. Plenty of CD will be nerfed soon enough.

When I saw that Chaos Dwarf army I knew there was no hope for the Greenskins. When Grimgor died I knew their was really no hope for the Greenskins.

Chaos Dwarves by far has one of the strongest (if not the strongest) unit rosters in the game!
Those giant mortars have a really satisfying BOOM.
What language are the chaos dwarves talking? :) Is it a language made up by GW or based on the speech from Tolkien's dwarves?
I think that this battle was way closer than it should've been. Despite numbers, I think the Chaos dwarf forces should've routed the Orcs. They were much better armed and armored.
The true sadness comes with every chaos dwarf lost it would be like the green-skins losing a thousand the green-skins could muster an army twice as big in a fraction of a fraction of the time

its a rebellion battle the dwarfs are fighting vs the green skins as the green skins are tired of being inslaved by the chaos dwarfs

There was no way the Greenskins were gonna take this field without a massive numbers advantage. The problem with Orks is that in a fair fight they are almost always technologically out done and only their absolute elite warriors are capable of fighting 1v1 against most enemies. In my opinion at least.
Ig that's kind of the playstyle for them is just to have overwhelming army's
I just had a 2 on 2 with Astragoth and K'Daii Destroyer vs Grimgor and Rogue Idol and Greenskins won

Too bad the in game battles are so much smaller. These are more like real army sized. Very entertaining.
turn your unit size onto ultra
There are endgame scenarios where multiple armies attack you. If more than one faction attacks you this could mean 80 units on the enemy side which is much more than in the video.
What unit of greenskins works well against blunderbusses and bull centaurs?
I think if the Greenskins had used some fast cav or chariots to flank it might have gone a bit better for them.
Chaos Dwarfs are one of my favourite factions due to their use of guns and artilery👍

Are the chaos dwarfs some kind of equals to Dark Mechanicus in Warhammer 40k?
not really, unless you count the fact that they have a "loyalist" or Order faction counterpart.
Chaos Dwarfs did the one thing Dwarfs just don't do; actual Chaos magic. Not the safe Runesmithing that Dwarfs do, but real magic. This turns their Sorcerer's bodies to stone. In contrast, Darkmech don't really do psykers? Oh they use Daemons for sure, but you don't see them experimenting with psyker combat tech in lore.
Chaos Dwarfs also abandoned their Ancestors Gods and started worshipping Hashut instead, the Minor Chaos God of Tyranny and Industry. Think of him like Vashtorr is currently, and the Iron Warriors. In contrast, Darkmech just believe the Admech are worshipping a false Omnissiah (The Emperor), but they do still believe in *an* Omnissiah.
Both Darkmech and Chaos Dwarfs use Daemon engines liberally, and the latter make inventions that no Dwarf would ever do (combining daemons into metal). They also make use of slave labourer forces and creatures to do their work, while Dwarfs just do everything themselves. In contrast, both the Admech and Darkmech don't give a damn about having to use labour forces and servitors.
so yeah, Chaos Dwarfs are more like Iron Warriors. Except they don't really do human experimentation like IW do with Daemonculaba.
Although in one regard, they are very similar in that no proper Chaos warband wants to piss off their own suppliers, since Darkmech and Chaos Dwarfs supply most of the new arms that the main Chaos factions use in their respective universes, aside from looting them from loyalist/Order factions.

Even though the chaos dwarfs won the greenskins inflicted heavy casualties on the chaos dwarves too for the chaos dwarfs are very few unlike their normal dawi cousins their reproduction rate is very low and hence every dawi zharr life counts a lot

I love the difference in sound between dwarf language and chaos dwarf language. You can hear it's roots of dwarven but it's mutated and changed due to them being in the east for so long and has become their own.
