sonic CD was the first sonic game i ever got 100% on. even though i like sonic 2 a lot more now, i still love CD and its one of my fav games of all time.
I like the "Sonic. The. Hedgehog! You get down from there this instant!"
Another tip for the Special Stages, you can actually jump up walls if they’re angled a certain way, try it out!
Also, HOLD LEFT IN SPECIAL STAGE 3 OR YOU FAIL INSTANTLY

I have yet to beat a single special stage in sonic 1
@@jayramirez3381 my personal strategy is to hug EVERY wall- make sure you're ALWAYS near-surrounded by walls and peppermint spheres so you can control your movement at most times.
NEVER trust a gap that diverges from the normal path-- most special stages with gaps that go towards the emerald have a line of invisible peppermint blocks. If you don't see those? Always go for the bigger area on the main path - never trust narrow gaps in walls.
And in special stage 2 - hold to the wall IMMEDIATELY. It WILL try to drop you into a pit of goal spheres from the start.
You can actually steer Sonic a bit too. Honestly I think a big reason so many people hate the Sonic 1 special stages so much is because they don't realize how much you actually can control Sonic in them.
Yet another tip: If you keep holding in a direction, even if Sonic doesn't start moving that way, you'll see him spin faster. This is because he's storing momentum, like a pseudo-spin dash. When you jump, that stored momentum gets released.

You know, Sonic the Hedgehog is a masterpiece and it’s worth amazing to play on Sonic Origins.
i know alot of people is saying sonic origins is trash and all but im all up for the widescreen remasters no longer being exclusive to only mobile

It sucks that nobody has played the mobile versions of the Classic Sonic Games Sonic 1, 2 , and CD are both ported on here with a few changes.

I was not expecting that intro! Still a bit weird you can't have lives with widescreen, but I can live with it. It's good that Sega is introducing new fans to the classics. As a message to any new fans, if you don't like 1 don't worry, 2 and 3 are better, and you can make your own mind up about CD.

Seeing the spin dash coming back is a great change, and drop dash will be a welcome addition for the games it will be in, even if it is only in anniversary mode.

I think people should also know that "up" and "down" circles speed the rotation up and down, I think that's less obvious than the R circle

Tbh, having the drop dash is all I needed to hear. That mfer is such a game changer I barely use the normal spindash in Mania and SEGA AGES Sonic 1 and 2 anymore.

I know Sonic 1 has 6 Chaos Emeralds, but a feature to enable the 7th (and thus get Super Sonic) like in the 2013 version (which this version is mostly based off of) would be nice. I think the feature is in the game, but having it acknowledged would've been nice.
There was one video a few days or weeks ago (sorry, don't remember which one) showed Super Sonic in Sonic 1, so it's available in Origins.
