I completely agree, ive waited 10 years for this and they completely let me down. The top speed should easily be 1700 mph at 40000 ft. Besides the f22, this plane has been dominant since its release. Realistically this plane was stacked and i mean stacked! With aa missiles. It's radar is hands down the best in the world, besides the f22 f35 of course. It's strength is deleting enemies in BVR, well before any Soviet plane could lock on to its American counterpart. Idk what gainjin is thinking but they truly can not accept the fact America has, and has ha for the past 50 years, complete air dominance. I guess there solution is to take a 1975 plane and add planes that are 20-30 years older and classify them into the same battle rating, which is complete bs. Frustating!
I hate how they artificially handicap vehicles by not giving them the performance or armament they have IRL. If the game/maps arent laid out in a way or big enough to handle these weapons then dont add these jets and work on the maps first. I'm so tired of Gaijin's bs.

We are talking about the game where the top tier tanks are from the 2010s, the top tier planes are from the 1980s and the top tier ships are from the 1940s. R27ER missing is always a close call (on good launch) Sparrow missing is often just deciding the ground directly beneath you is the target now if not the air 5 feet ahead of you.
i think there is a radar missile bug, because 2 times now my R27er went left when i was hard locked head on with someone. kinda like what your sparrow did, but one of the times my R27 went completely to the left. it's frustrating.

The Aim-7s have been so unreliable since the update dropped that I have barely used them. I still have them equipped for high flying targets, but I feel like they’ve been going off in random directions or just exploding mid air way too often. The AAM-3s are pretty nice though. Pro tip for anyone in need for help getting a fox 2 lock without HMD. Use vertical radar scan in a dogfight to lock up on radar and then fox 2's will prioritize radar lock. This will help you greatly in a dogfight for when you need to get that good off-bore fox 2 with no HMD

I hate the f-15 so much it is a pain to fly, the missiles suck compared to it's counterparts and the radar just doesn't lock what you want it to lock it loves to lock on to a random tree 2 lightyears away. In my opinion it's not worth grinding out the US tech tree since the Russian R-27 family of missiles just dominate the higher tiers.

Sparrows are definitely worse in basically every way to R27s but I feel like i have more success with them on my F16C while grinding for the F15? The F15 radar seems to drop lock much easier and the swivel range makes it basically impossible to notch R27s. They felt much more consistent for me than depicted in this video and my f15 games with them so far.
F-16C radar is the only radar I can vaguely consistently make Sparrows work with. F-4EJ Kai/F16A radar used to work good, doesn't anymore for some reason

One of the most annoying things about the f15 in its current form is the lack of hmd, which really shows in a dogfight when you can barely not get your missiles seeker cone on the enemy, or get a radar lock for the gun sight without losing your nose advantage, his is especially annoying considering that the f15, including the a variant, had hmd irl.
No it did not. The US F-15A only briefly tested the same HMD as the F-4J and S have in game, but it wasn't adopted. Israel did include the HMD when they upgraded their F-15As in the 90s, and so did Japan with their F-15Js later, just some years ago. But no, being strict, no full production HMD was ever equipped on an american production F-15A, just on the C when they included the AIM-9X.

F15 FLIGHT MODEL IS OVERPERFORMING SIGNIFICANTLY. You can keep pulling like over 20 degrees AoA and easily maintain 500-600 kmh. This is stupid energy retention. not even f16 (ment to be the best ratefighter) can`t do that. My point is you can`t have both superior 2 and 1 circle performance on one single plane. You can say that SU-27 is still better in 1 circle. Well, just watch the begining of the video. Flanker can win in first couple of turns against the f15 and then 15 starts running circles around 27s or 29s. In 2 circle 27 don`t have a chance. That makes this thing is just unfair in the game where things are ment to be at least somehow balanced. I don`t really like that US got already 2 broken planes (f16 that pulls inhuman Gs and and now the F15 that does not lose speed in turns). The only good things about soviet jets are r73 and r27er and good first turn performance. You can hug the ground and R27ER is now not a threat to you. You can preflare the r73 and now it is flarable. And you can avoid the first turn of these jets. After that mig29 is a easy kill. Su27 might be a little harder, but again, watch the begining of the video. Joob didn`t brake a sweat to kill the flanker. I think that competition is good for the game. And one last things. Those couple of jets are getting AIM120s pretty soon. Each can carry more than 6 of those missiles. AMRAAMS might get a smokeless motor. That mean no smoke at all in this game. So in ground RB and in SIM it won`t be visible at all. If this happens im gonna leave top tier jets I suppose.

its the Seeker shut off type, same as 9M. although it should have a UV channel aswell, which would make it even harder to flare.

One of the most annoying things about the f15 in its current form is the lack of hmd, which really shows in a dogfight when you can barely not get your missiles seeker cone on the enemy, or get a radar lock for the gun sight without losing your nose advantage, his is especially annoying considering that the f15, including the a variant, had hmd irl.
No it did not. The US F-15A only briefly tested the same HMD as the F-4J and S have in game, but it wasn't adopted. Israel did include the HMD when they upgraded their F-15As in the 90s, and so did Japan with their F-15Js later, just some years ago. But no, being strict, no full production HMD was ever equipped on an american production F-15A, just on the C when they included the AIM-9X.

US F-15As never got HMDs, F-15Cs only got them in 2007 alongside an AESA radar.

F15 FLIGHT MODEL IS OVERPERFORMING SIGNIFICANTLY. You can keep pulling like over 20 degrees AoA and easily maintain 500-600 kmh. This is stupid energy retention. not even f16 (ment to be the best ratefighter) can`t do that. My point is you can`t have both superior 2 and 1 circle performance on one single plane. You can say that SU-27 is still better in 1 circle. Well, just watch the begining of the video. Flanker can win in first couple of turns against the f15 and then 15 starts running circles around 27s or 29s. In 2 circle 27 don`t have a chance. That makes this thing is just unfair in the game where things are ment to be at least somehow balanced.
I don`t really like that US got already 2 broken planes (f16 that pulls inhuman Gs and and now the F15 that does not lose speed in turns). The only good things about soviet jets are r73 and r27er and good first turn performance. You can hug the ground and R27ER is now not a threat to you. You can preflare the r73 and now it is flarable. And you can avoid the first turn of these jets. After that mig29 is a easy kill. Su27 might be a little harder, but again, watch the begining of the video. Joob didn`t brake a sweat to kill the flanker.
I think that competition is good for the game.
And one last things. Those couple of jets are getting AIM120s pretty soon. Each can carry more than 6 of those missiles. AMRAAMS might get a smokeless motor. That mean no smoke at all in this game. So in ground RB and in SIM it won`t be visible at all. If this happens im gonna leave top tier jets I suppose.
