This is excellent from beginning to end. The video footage of the waves is mesmerizing. I love that opening panoramic image and the print is great. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your journey.

It’s a magical place. Might be heading up that way in the spring.

Can't wait to see it! Apparently Utah have been experiencing the snowiest winter in 20 years and seeing green grass was weird. Great video and the print is gorgeous!

@@Keithdotson You and me both! You should come back to you in spring when the snow is melting and the waterfalls roaring! Should be off the chain. We are headed down to Bryce Canyon in February. Looking forward to hiking on the trails between the hoodoos.

    Hi Keith.
You didn't pick the best weather.
But it can deliver some spectacular images again.
The first panorama is a very nice one, friend, and I say that who doesn't like panorama work.
I saw those houses on the coast and thought those who see this every day would find them as special as we who see them for the first time.
If you share the information about that rock, it suddenly becomes something special for me. Not just a rock out of the sea.
I don't know if there's a lot of time between shots, but the tide is coming up very quickly indeed. With that wood and the foam of the water, I would have liked to get started with my camera. Beautiful photo but different from the one I saw when you took the photo on your focus. I wanted to ask you why you put it in the middle and don't use negative space.
But now that I see the print I don't have to ask. That's how I imagined the composition. Exactly as you presented it.
    Wonderful video to watch, buddy.
Kind regards from the cold Netherlands,
    Antoine.

Ha yes, you are very observant. The photo wasn't exactly the same one on the screen.

Nice! We had to cut our recent trip short. Cannon Beach was doing a sand castle competition the one Saturday we were close so we couldn't go...next time.

Such a beautiful scene. That massive outcrop of volcanic rock is just amazing. I've always been a bit mesmerized watching the ocean. Some places that are more wild give a very primal vibe. I always try to image how early humans who saw the coast for the first time felt seeing endless ocean. Question: Are the variable CPL/ND filters worthwhile?

You nailed it with what you said about a primal vibe! I don't have an answer about the variable filters. I generally don't use any filters but this 6-stop helped me smooth out the water a tad. A 10-stop would have been better I think.
