I look at the grille as a main part of any kit and try to either clear them or make new ones. Some are very easy,just some sanding and fine mesh make a lot of difference 👍🤔

There used to be a very nice,large scale Commando kit. I bet it's rare and expensive kit🤔. I've had mainly Triumph and Harley bikes,but know am less able I've had to switch to jap bikes. I can't kick a cat let alone a bike anymore😭
I realize that it is to late to give you this tip but I am working on a couple of Chevrolet pickups and I thought about the front suspension and wanted it to reflect what was being done in the real world and the front subframe and suspension from the AMT '70-1/2 Camaros were quite popular for the pickups and you can shorten them to fit a little better, and if you put the front clip in place against the truck chassis before cutting it you can get the place where you will need to cut the stock chassis AND the Camaro clip to use the stock pickup radiator cradle and front bumper mounts.

Prices have gone up rapidly here. 5 yrs ago,most of these kits were half the price they are now. I'm willing to hunt around and put up with part started kits. I paid £16 +post for the Nomad. A sealed one would be £40 plus,quite a difference for some minor work although it's a gamble on condition really🤔

Would it not have been easier to tell me what is written underneath it as a description. The only one I haven't taken out of a box is the one I believe to be a Chevy pick up. i made a 4x4 out of mind but i don't have a windshield in it suck can you help me please wayne i would like to paint it amt has know about the problem but they don;t want to fix or refund the money you pay for it you just get the big f.u.cost is about $30.00 and they put junk like out on the market and its a shame 55 truck looks great on the box art and on the 57 truck to and love to have a 57 truck but not with that problem thats why there price is down in the market
??. I often replace the kit leaf spring, after measuring the kit parts,with evergreen strip. Then add new details to the strips😃. I hate the seam lines on most kit leaf springs.😟 In the time I've taken to clean them up, I might as well have made from scratch👍😃

That is a lot of careful sanding to open the grill but it does look good.
90% of it is brutal sanding,Steve. It's only where you sand that needs care and watching for the shadows of the ribs to appear,then being careful 👍😁

Yes. In the U.K. these kits are not cheap and are full of faults and poor mouldings😣
