I dumped the nand but the hard drive is going to be a larger project. It's a 2TB drive so I need a large drive to store it on and my upload speed isn't high enough to put it on something like archive.org
my question is why don't people try to capture the software. i have seen so many modded systems with the app with screen capture but no footage of the app
What do you mean? If you're referring to the Joysound software, it's because almost nothing actually happens on the top screen. The whole interface is on the gamepad which isn't easy to record directly unless some homebrew solution I'm not aware of is out there. During a song there'll be lyrics on the top screen but when ones not playing, it's just a random slideshow
@@shadow.dragon.decoded.2579 I did get the main software on cemu however I don't have the storage space to dump the entire hard drive which is also required for it to run. Eventually I'll get a really large drive to put it on
Well I finally got mine, but it seems my WiiU has a bad HDMI encoder chip most likely. I've tried pretty much everything and narrowed it down to the WiiU it self. Do you happen to know if it possible we can just use another WiiU and make it into a Joysound version? If not i guess I'm taking the plunge into getting a hot air station to try and fix it.
Are you sure it's the HDMI encoder chip? Did you try switching the input using the button on the front of the unit? Also make sure to try all the HDMI ports on the back and make sure it's still attached to the HDMI extension cable on the inside of the unit. It's very possible the issue is with the HDMI switcher board or one of the cables inside instead of the Wii u itself. As far as replacement, if you're able to dump the nand on the original Wii u it's probably possible to put the data on another unit but I have no clue what the process would be. I've never messed around with that personally
You mentioned that the karaoke audio doesn't come out through the hdmi. What port does the karaoke audio come out of? Rca seems to be giving me nothing
@@RetroZero64 thanks! My cables might be bad. Does your computer have a "line in" port? You might have better luck recording the Audio with one of those. Mic ports will apply again to the signal and make it sound bad. Thanks so much for the videos this is such a cool piece of wiiu history.

cripsy doom might of had errors because it was designed in rpx format which works best on tiramisu and other legacy cfws

It comes out of the right most RCA jacks on the back. I believe the ones in the middle are inputs. It should be to the right of the three HDMI ports
