How to Build a Picklewall

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. During the COVID-19 quarantine, all of us have been desperate to get back to the court to play Pickleball. I spent this time building a practice wall in my garage. Now I can practice and build my skills so when we do return to the court, my skills won't have deteriorated. Maybe my skills will have even improved. And after this is over, I'll have a wall to do drills anytime, day or night.

I would have just located the studs in your garage, screwed the plywood directly to the wall, and painted it. Patching the drywall when you'd move would be much less work!

True, but after Covid lockdowns, I sold it to the local sports club for a profit.

How do we build a transportable Pickleball?

That's not plywood. That's Oriented Strand Board (OSB). Plywood would actually have been a much better choice for this application - denser, smoother, more uniform.

Yes, but I got the OSB for free from the home builder.

This would have been much better if you had skipped the music and pauses with photo of a pb court between each step. Also, why tell us what didn't work? Cut the time in half by just telling us what worked and how to do it. Thanks!

​@@vincedee871 sorry but I agree with what everybody else is saying it about the video. Video was put together. Good editing was good but you didn't tell us why you did XY and z or what was the reason that it was causing XY and z to happen. Only suggestion I would have for you would be to ride out some comments about why you put the bend in the board. Otherwise I like the video. It gave me some good ideas. I would just want to try to figure out why you did some of the things you did. Thank you for taking the time to make this

It looked pretty complex to me but can haven’t build anything ever. The video goes to fast and unless someone knows how to build something, it appears like a challenge.
