Boit does this as well, I've tested a ton of Ra builds and they all come with their own ups and downs. Doing that actually slows your pickaxe because it will be later to get the food for pickaxe and maintain vill production. I think at the end of the day its tiny details, the main point is you're upping 4/4.15 and you have the ups and res to execute the strat. Don't get too robotic with it.
You didn't mention, but If you put the Monument in the right spot, it will also empower all the Towers, making them and the tc shoot faster, which really helps the passive playstyle
I opened my game in the background and the timing is impeccable. The moment you teleported with shifted sands here, out of nowhere it started playing the main theme in the background as you stopped the TC xD 12:17
Was messing around with full infantry build Ra vs. the AI just to see how it felt. Attack-move big armies at each other as one does. What I noticed kept happening is that my spearmen and axemen would die, and then my slingers would just get mopped up without much resistance. Slings into myth units or melee cav was my weakness. Once my spearmen were gone, the cav would just run the rest of my army over, including the axemen. I had some priests, I had some wadjets, but the priests were useless into the cav too. TL;DR: make some camels at your migdols if your main army is all infantry.

and what do you do in case your opponent has access to ceasefire to gurantuee the settlement going up or rushes the town center after going up with 16-17 pop? What do you do if they watch your video and wisely scout then kill the obelisk with the classic age myth unit? Questions aside I am happy to see you encourage Ra players to actually explore and not just defensive boom.
Build can be more efficient: You want to empower granary first. If you have more than 3x vils on food vs building/gold that's more efficient. You want to focus on getting more food early and get gold later. You also want to gather 20 wood, then build mining camp, then house, then start collect gold. That way pickaxe is already done by the time you start mining gold. (You will collect 15 gold at which point your pharaoh will come over to the monument to empower just before you deliver.). That said, these are micro improvements.. doesn't really matter much. Cool style. Personally I'm not so sure trying to deny their TC is better than getting your own. Even with shifting sands you just have trouble against a bunch of early game armies. 1 tc vs 1 tc doesn't really favor Ra in a bunch of matchups either. Yes you have some eco bonuses but Thor, Gaia, Freyr have more i think
I try to keep the build as simple as possible so everyone can follow! Difference between pharao empowering monument and granary is 1 food per drop off. It really doesn't amount to much in the grand scheme of things, plus if you empower the monument you have the favor needed for 3 wadjets early. Have you tried the early farm Transition vs those civs? Keep in mind you also have map control, so they will struggle to hunt for example
I've been playing early expand mostly. Little risky but you can go up at 4:00 and drop a barracks and 2nd TC right away which i preferred over pressuring. But I'll switch it up and try some 1 TC play. I don't necessarily think you have map control though. Nor do I think both staying on 1 TC is necessarily good for Ra, for example against Isis that is hugely in Isis favor if they go Thoth.

I maybe need a little advice over here: I can deal fairly against any faction but im not using well my army comp against MU spam... specially against Hades Cyclops/Manticore. What do I need to check if he gets a lot of Toxotes and Bulky MU?
Low key, don't hate this kinda style. Unlike AoE2, farms aren't mandatory in 2nd age, there's enough food on the map to keep trucking for awhile without having to build farms, so they often don't get build until later. But with god powers being reusable now, Ra being able to rush extra food via farms is an interesting way to play compared to just building farms because you have to.
Id like to see to see Ra perform in a 1 tc classical age deathmatch with this strategy. Laborers seem so bad and +14% feels like it barely counteracts their inherent penalty. Worst of all Egyptians spend gold like crazy with no built in upside to balance it, atleast that's what it seems like.
Perhaps the bush bonus could be moved to Rain. It would force a different decision to either "waste" a rain on bush for an early boost or skip bushes and focus on risky hunt.
Regarding burning pitch, why does it apply to slingers. It should be something related to only arrows. I don't think catapults and petrobolos are impacted by burning pitch, so why should slingers if they are also throwing stones? They have chariots that they can make if they want to have the upgrade
Question: why don't eggy go fh migdol units-siege push anymore? It seems that this would be very strong against whatever people do nowadays. I'm used to ESO with ex_hope and sk1pper really ruining everyone with that as Isis
Go 2 tc yourself if you scout the VC. Otherwise, you should be able to control the map and still come out ahead. But realistically, very few players ever go for VC...
44:38 If i were the isis player i would have tried a combination of slingers, elephants, and siege towers. The towers and elephants are an hp buffer with high pierce armor to absorb damage while the isis slingers focus down the ra slingers, even in smaller numbers.

Migdols are weaker, Migdol units train slower. Balance in retold is different to ESO
