The API tests do go off mate. I was pulling my hair out with ammonia showing. Only about 0.25-0.5, but I couldn't work out why.
Turns out, the reagent had gone off and the test was wrong.
Yes, I've had false reads with the api ammonia test. I'm using a new NT labs ammonia and it's reading about in line with what the hanna checker was. Cheers
@@KoiKicks I've also had issues with the high range pH test. I always do three tests of that to make sure.
The time for you to be seen spooked in the corner of the pond should be long gone by now, don't you think? Everyone here is starting to show swimming behaviour that has been trained to make them lose their guard and become preoccupied with food, as if they were competing with each other!
I have the same issue. Caused by a heron terrorizing the pond unfortunately.
They are slowly becoming more confident again.
The indoor pond was feeding confidently before I lost 3 of them, a few week later I added 2 new koi and now 2 more so there's been lots of change. The trouble is I only go in there twice per day in the week so their normal is, no me, no noise.

Funny isn't it as sanke generally bore me and I steer away.
