Flower Power, Peace, Love and Understanding, everybody get together try to love one another right now, good vibrations, let it go, open yourself up to the possibilities, everyone is beautiful, we can change the world, ALL THAT!! It's a tragedy that it couldn't stand up to the onslaught of "the establishment", moneyed interests, military interests and the general unenlightened state of humanity at this time. But, for a while there, there was a slim chance. Who knows if we'll ever even get another one?!

Every time I hear this song, I'm taken back to where I grew up in upstate N.Y. in the late "60's. I was 9 or 10 and driving through the countryside in spring and summer vacations in the family car... Man, what a time AND place to be young. The countryside of New York is truly "Heaven on Earth."
