I have an arb duel compressor with a tank and I find that at the higher psi it slows down as well. It would take 30min to fill all 4 of my 37s from 15psi to 48psi using an indeflate filling 2 at a time. The performance slows down at higher pressure and what helps is to fill 1 tire at a time. That cut my overall time from 30min down to 15min.
Greetings from Pontassieve. I have a magnificent Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 van with a 1.3 liter m13a petrol engine from 2001 that I use on mountain forest roads and on dirt farm roads and on gravel and broken scree. I use it to transport agricultural equipment and for me the Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 remains the best off-road 4x4 due to its compact size compared to large 4x4 off-road vehicles!
Hi, I believe you have air suspension on your caravan, presumably you can inflate your tyres from the onboard compressor. I have air suspension on my caravan and although I don't need to go to that level of PSI, normally around 45-50, it doesn't have any issues on all four tyres. It is a Viair compressor to an air tank for the suspension and an outlet for connecting a hose to inflate tyres. I'm sure you've already calculated the correct tyre pressure using the max load rating/load index, weight of caravan and number of tyres (in your case 2). For my caravan (tandem) the formula comes out as follows: (max psi/90% of load rating) * (max loading on each tyre) = PSI to be used. In my case: (80/1530)*800=42 (Mickey Thompson LT285/75R16 126/123Q). So if you tyres have a max PSI of 65 and load rating of 1500kg, and the caravan weighs approx 2600kg? The your tyres should be at around (65/1350)*1300=62
Kings thumper max, running 75psi on the car and 50psi on the van. Probably takes about 20 - 30 minutes for all 8 tyres by the time i stuff around getting it out running the air lines and conecting. Also running the dual tyre inflator and guage which is super handy. But takes time too unpack and pack up. Also a bit of a pain as there are no valves on schrader valve conection so you have to kink it and walk around holding it, the line gets caught up every time. Super happy for the price point.
@@TylerAlexander-pd2uf I'm guessing your thinking too high. 🤣🤣 That's the minimum for the factory tpms. I go even higher when loaded.. 80000km and no blow out yet. 🤷
Awesome video Jake and Lily really enjoyed it. Get yourself a Viair 400 or 480c… they’re the best! …and even hook it up to a small air tank with a 200psi pressure switch to get that initial boost of air, trust me you won’t regret it 💯
I’ve got the kings double compressor, but it overheats doing car and dual axle van from low pressures, but it does get up to 60psi. Congrats on the big 20K
What does the van manufacturer recommend the tyre pressures should be. 50 PSI seems quite high. I run our tyres on 2.5 tonne van at 40 PSI as recommended.
the ARB pump is expensive Jake but it's bloody good. Also, look at the Viair compressors we used to use on air suspension systems years ago and they were bloody great too
ARB or TJM compressor does well. i have the Single TJM with a 4L tank and it does really well. we dont use cheap Kings stuff anymore as the compressor heats up too much and broke the first day we had one, the fridge died within 8 months the MPPT solar charger died in 3 months, the only solid thing we had of kings were the Lithium batteries
The good old Kings double thumper works for me. Quick and easy inflation (55 psi on my single axle van) but is a battery killer if you don't run your car while using it. Cheap, often on special. Really can't fault mine.
We run 2x arb twin compressors with a 20 litre air tank , 35 s pump up in no time to 65 psi . By the time you pay for a few failed cheap compressors your at the cost of the quality stuff, not mention the stress of shit when it dont work when you need it to

Well done for getting out of that was impressive 👏👏👏 With the air compressor I have a kings and it works okay, but I would love to fit an air tank on the car or caravan. Kings noooo, have lots of their stuff like fridges etc but the thumper keeps blowing hoses at the connections. I've replaced spring connections with clamps and now the pump gauge broken. I'm going to bit the bullet and go ARB single as its at least reliable.
Our Kings twin compressor has been great. Don't know if it is good at 50 'cause our BT50 and Tvan combo aren't that heavy but it is so fast pumping two tyres at a time through our Indeflate (which is another awesome piece of gear).
Geez you guys do some dumb things. I love it😂😂😂. Remember that many of us really like the 20 to 30 minute videos and avoid the longer ones. So you don't need to apologise for that😂
I don’t understand why you persist in digging yourself in further and lose direction control when you have 4 Maxtrax doing nothing on your roof which I believe would have benefited from the start and perhaps stop deterioration of the situation. Maybe pause for a few minutes and assess a bit more before diving in. You have 4 Maxtrax and 6 wheels. I’d recommend carry 8. You can build a road with them. Stressful moment I’m sure. Easy to be an expert on the sidelines and I certainly don’t intend that be. I tow a Tekton SVX4 which is probably the lightest hybrid around but have still been in situations where building a road has given enough direction control and the ability to gain momentum to get out. Safe travels and Hazel is such a cutie .
Yeah, you’re right! Sometimes we should just bite the bullet and pull them though. 😅 sounds like an epic hybrid, still have a soft spot for a hybrid after our first van - absolutely loved it! Thank you, isn’t she the best. 🫶🏼
You should look it up Tekton SVX4. Only 1450kg dry, probably the lightest on the market. I’m just a customer nothing to do with the company. I always carry 8 and whip them out before shit gets real
air compressor You gotta be very careful. You don’t overheat the compressor specially pumping tyres up too high-pressure I run now / use to air compresses just in case one breaks down
The best air compressor you can buy is called endless air. You need to contact them see if can fit your car. With no hassles it runs on your motor on your car. if you can, you’ll pump your Tyres up so quick, you won’t complain put them down.
Make your own compressor from a a/c compressor my mate made one and he can pump 6 tyres up in 8 minutes a/c compressor can pump 350psi pressure the only thing is it needs to be mounted on the engine to turn it has switch on dash to switch on or off
This is a great idea, but I think I lack the tools and know how to put something like this together. But I’ll keep the idea in the back of my head just in case I ever get the chance! Thanks for watching!
That opening scene might have been good for your click rate but seriously dangerous as well, that was crazy, it could have also been the end of your trip, Don't do that again.
Mate bite the Bullet and do yourself a favour purchase an ARB Double Pumper and stop complaining about the price. You will not regret the purchase given how much you use a compressor, it stands to reason and you two seem logical people. A compressor is one thing you dont skimp money on when using it regularly. Do yourself a massive favour and go ARB Double pumper with the reservoir tank in a carry hard case.
Silly to skimp on necessary equip that gets you out of trouble and needs to work. ARB single pump compressor you can get for around $500. Wouldn’t waste my money on cheap Chinese sh!t. After all, you’ve spent a lot on your van, get something of quality

Not sure why you just don't zoom in on the track on Wikicamps as you are going on the track. It shows your pin on the map in relation to the track. You most likely already know that. But found it to be invaluable in getting to places. That site (little bay) does state for camper trailers only, but having been there only 4 weeks ago, the track is clearly marked with entry and exit signs, not sure if you may have taken a wrong turn? Not dissing you guys though, I love your spirit of adventure and pushing the van and tracks that you do. It's admirable and fun to watch. Have fun on your holiday, relax, unwind and reset 👌. (And yes my el cheapo kings double thumper does go above 50 relatively easy, but does slow down above 45psi, but also gets very hot just doing the 4 vehicle tyres. It would need a cool down to in-between when doing the van tyres as well. I would imagine it wouldn't last too long for what you guys need.) You guys are brilliant, love your content, good luck getting to 20k very soon, you both deserve it and many more. 🫶

Our Kings twin compressor has been great. Don't know if it is good at 50 'cause our BT50 and Tvan combo aren't that heavy but it is so fast pumping two tyres at a time through our Indeflate (which is another awesome piece of gear).
TJM Dual compressor, not cheap but well worth it
Checkout a vidio the Jock 24/7 did about a week ago. The twin hose setup makes sense its all about back pressure.
Probably worth paint protection on the van sides with what you do
Lil and Jake, good video!
🙏 thanks so much legend! ❤️
Geez you guys do some dumb things. I love it😂😂😂. Remember that many of us really like the 20 to 30 minute videos and avoid the longer ones. So you don't need to apologise for that😂
I have a bushranger compressor that is great, although I don't air up that high so can't comment on that part...
We have a kings air compressor and it goes above 50 psi.
Oh awesome, perfect we will have to have a look! Thanks for letting us know. 🫶🏼
How good is the drone for checking roads and campsites 😎
Would the Max tracks on the roof work on the corner where you were losing traction?
Been a subscriber since Dec 2022
So good!!! Thanks for following for so long. 🥰
Did you fix up the track or just go
Hey guys just wondering if you still have a discount code for itech world?.
@@jenlaw398 hey! Yes it’s lilandjake5 gets you 5% off
I don’t understand why you persist in digging yourself in further and lose direction control when you have 4 Maxtrax doing nothing on your roof which I believe would have benefited from the start and perhaps stop deterioration of the situation.
I don't think Harry would be impressed after you've tasted his version of it!!
Where are you guys holidaying ?
Got the 20k...hooray 😂😂
Why not use your winch to help you out
You still in Vietnam? we are in Hoi An?
Oh amazing!! Yeah still here, hanging around the beach near nha trang atm! 🙌🏼
@@lilandjake Enjoy your holiday from your holiday!
I only inflate to 34psi, hope this helps
Check out Tuff Terrain V4 portable air compressor
Epic! These are the kind of tips we are after, will check it out. 🙌🏼
Hold up! Your now on holiday from travelling? FML
Another fantastic video guys. Sounds like you need either ARB or TJM twin compressor.
Might look into the Tjm, cheers legend! ❤️
Xtm double pump goes 100 psi easy
20k, yea.
40psi is more than enough for your setup.
Can't go without kfc
This is the truth! 🙌🏼
"EXPOSED!" 😂
Mate bite the Bullet and do yourself a favour purchase an ARB Double Pumper and stop complaining about the price. You will not regret the purchase given how much you use a compressor, it stands to reason and you two seem logical people. A compressor is one thing you dont skimp money on when using it regularly. Do yourself a massive favour and go ARB Double pumper with the reservoir tank in a carry hard case.
Take alook @ AOB Air Compressor Systems
Silly to skimp on necessary equip that gets you out of trouble and needs to work. ARB single pump compressor you can get for around $500. Wouldn’t waste my money on cheap Chinese sh!t. After all, you’ve spent a lot on your van, get something of quality
Your running too high pressure in van, jar the crap out of everything, run about 42 psi
Please don’t start flogging off all the products/sponsors stuff. Obviously it is helpful for what you do but just show us where you go and what you do. As soon as someone starts flogging off all the sponsors I quickly “unsubscribe” trip in a van is a prime example
Hey, sorry you feel that way about other channels, but unfortunately people have to make money to put food in their kids mouths and making good videos isn’t as easy as it seems.
I’m sure there are a lot of people on patreon making similar videos with no adds but you’d have to pay for the content. Otherwise it’s free to watch adds!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
@@lilandjake when people are driving around in $150k plus vehicle setups and probably $150k plus caravans I don’t think they’d struggle to put food in their kids mouths.
Just me personally, I want to see where people go and what they do. As soon as people start flogging off sponsors that’s when I unsubscribe.
You’ve make it to 20k followers without having to flog off sponsors, no need to start now
What is the motivation behind people who wanna come into the comments and criticise a portion that would equate to 1% of the entire videos content, rather than show appreciation and praise for the remaining 99%?………… Relax, Karen……
@@iagobonfim-r5v because it starts with 1% then it goes to 2% then 5 then 10, next thing you know they’ve gone away from why people actually started watching them in the first place.
Am I not allowed to provide a bit of constructive criticism?
Bore off
Hi Jake and Lil we own a motorhome we have a kings thumper I this went up to 90psi quickly we are pkmotoroaming 😊
I would imagine it wouldn't last too long for what you guys need.)
You guys are brilliant, love your content, good luck getting to 20k very soon, you both deserve it and many more. 🫶
Hey! Yea we definitely do have a look on google maps but it always looks ten times easier from above hahaha, must have misread the signs but it’s basically just a big camper trailer anyways isn’t it?
Good to hear the cheapo kings goes alright! Might have to look into it!
Thanks for watching legend! ❤️
Congratz on 20k also 🥳🤯😎
What damage?
Hey! At the end of the video I inserted a few videos of the scratches that we gained from the track. They’re it’s not something we really noticed at the time so we didn’t talk about them in the video specifically.
Sorry if you don’t count scratches as damage.
@@lilandjake not damage, just think of them as achievement badges 😜
