It's part of the act and experience be weird just sitting there shows he's charasmatic
You’re supposed to move a bit to keep visual interest. I remember when we did speeches at school years ago we were told we should pace a little but no more than a couple metres. But those were serious speeches, this is comedy so more exaggerated movements make sense. You need more energy to match the stories.
