These videos are designed as practice tools to supplement your other learning methods. Information is provided on screen for both right and left-handed players!
Real Love has a long recording history and there are several versions of it floating about. This lesson is based on The Beatles' recorded version that appears on Anthology 2. I've arranged the song with a capo on fret 3 because I think that makes the chords sound closest to the way they do on the song. It's important to note that the Beatles version is slightly out of tune compared to normal A440 tuning, so if you try to play along with it then you may notice your guitar doesn't quite fit.
There are quite a few barre chords in here, so this is an intermediate song. The trickiest thing (I think) is actually the G+ (augmented) chord, which feels very weird to try and get your fingers in place for!

I’m a lefty guitarist too, I’ve learned this song already and it’s a beautiful song
This is a really tough one to get right for a couple of reasons. Firstly, because of what Jeff Lynne had to do the original Lennon demo - it's been sped up, plus Lennon's original piano is neither in 440 tuning, nor in tune with itself. It's, therefore, "in between" keys. Secondly, teaching piano based tunes on guitar is always tough as piano players tend to fiddle more with different bass notes over chords. You can definitely make suggestions but this is a pretty damn good interpretation.
Why not just copy from his acoustic demo of the song?
