How much would you charge for this interior? Comment below!

For interiors like this I usually charge about 200 for the most. I will remove the car seats as well and everything you did. But it would have taken me around 15 hours above. (It’s just me)

$200 for 15 hours is like $13/ hour that has to pay you plus your consumables plus your business overhead plus profit for reinvestment in new equipment, etc. seems way WAY too low. $850 for 10-12 man-hours is around $70-85 an hour which is great if you can get it but seems pretty high. By comparison, licensed plumbers bill out an average of $75/ hr where I live. Customers can do the math and many will struggle with the $70-85 hourly rate for what is seen as a cleaning service. if you use a metric of $40-50/ man-hour that includes all costs, including business overhead and a reasonable profit that puts you at around $500-600 assuming it takes 12 man-hours to complete this. That would equate to around $15-20/ hour labor rate with the rest going to overhead and reinvestment/expansion. The fact that you did get $850 for this detail plus $100 tip speaks to succeeding at more of a value- based sell that probably appealed to the clients emotions around guilt for letting his vehicle go for so long. Again, congrats for getting that, it is inspirational for all of us. I am skeptical that folks in my area would pay that much for what was done, regardless of the quality of outcome.

Wow! I had no idea how much work went into cleaning my car. So I was legit crying when I got home after picking it up. The state of this car before it was cleaned is what depression looks like. You just stop caring about the state of your surroundings. So getting this car taken care of was a huge deal. Not being surrounded by crap on my way to and from work has had a tremendously positive impact on my life. The two reasons I chose this company were #1 Reputation and online reviews and #2 they were respectful and non judgmental when I sent in pictures for the quote. It was definitely worth the cost.

This car's interior reminds me of someone who eats an entire bag of Oreo's and a raw onion like an an apple before they go to the dentist before a cleaning. While this is good for business it never ceases to amaze me that people drive cars in this condition and that every time I get one of my cars appraised for trade in or to sell it they always remark how clean the car is (I thought they were just being overly nice).

If I had 2 guys following me, I could have this done in under 2 hours. It's just an interior, so it's always the same process to me for the most part. I use a soft power brush, and super higher air pressure, and blue sos pads.

If their car looked like this just imagine what their house looks like. You need to go into the house cleaning service as well. You could probably soak them for $4,000 to clean their house also.

I would have charged $9,000 to do this job. I would have taken out all the carpet, seats, dash, trunk and thrown it all it the dumpster. I then would have replaced with all new seats, carpet, dash, console, trunk, steering wheel.

I'm just starting out, so for me I'd be charging $250, but I couldn't get it quite to that level of clean. One day I'll get there. But my main question is how do you approach the customer with that kind of quote? I know there's the rule of "based on condition" but how are you able to add that much more from the base price without freaking them out? One of these days I wanna get to your level man. Keep up the good work 🎉

I would charge a standard complete cleaning for 165€ and would add these Services if wanted by the customer:
    - Wet cleaning the seats for (100€)
    - Removing stains on the floor (35€)
    - Deep cleaning plastics (50€)
It would take 2 detailer about 4 hours delivering wash with sealing the paint and cleaning the interior to perfectly cleaned condition.
Adding up to 350€ in 8 work hours and 43,75€ / hour while having costs for the worker, cleaning supplies, electricity and water at 25€ / hour.
Giving me a profit of 25€ per hour without me even necessary working. That profit can pay commercial, rent, insurance and everything else, still having enough for me to live with.
You produce a profit of 69,23 / hour
Why do you need such an high profit?
I prefer being cheaper, still making enough money but not to much.
I prefer customer satisfaction over profit, with leads to the possibility of having more customers and being able to expand faster using for example a franchise system.
Producing many little income flows which also profits builds up over time because of the system evolving and the workers getting better.
All my customers are perfectly happy, because if the outside is cleaned it always looks awesome. Thats very important because the first impression gives a first mood on how you look at the whole detailing job. We always fulfill all the customers wishes perfectly. They know what every service costs and can decide which they want to get.
What do you think about that?
