Being able to hit passing shots on the drive is really his best weapon against top players. The more like tennis the game looks like the better chance he has. Longer points where excellent precision is required do not favor him. His match against McGuffin is proof. Consistency will be tougher to come by than most but if the forehand is firing he's probably going to beat everyone.
@@parkercrossland410Spot on. Sock does not want to get into cat and mouse at the kitchen or hit backhands lol

With all the money in pickleball why in the world are these guys calling their own shots? No line judges? I have seen high school tournaments that have line judges
There isn't that much money in pickleball yet, and why waste the money on line judges when they can call their own and almost nobody objects to a call. But if they do object, you can still ask for a replay.

@@networth00 some of these players are making over $500k a year… is that not a lot of money? Watch the second to last point, sock calls the ball out it’s clearly in. That’s why you don’t have them call their own shots.
Only VERY VERY few make that kind of money in pickleball. Also, the call was overturned after they reviewed it. That exact same thing happens in tennis.

@@networth00 well there is clearly enough money to afford line judges. In tennis you are challenging the line judge not your opponent. The line judge isn’t invested in either side winning but the players are, if you can’t comprehend how that’s different I understand
Is there a reason the score announcer always sounds like she's about to have a nervous breakdown. This isn't the first match that I've noticed this. And it
Jack needs to quit trying to get the point itself over so quickly which can cause him to try for to do to much on his shots. Make your opponent make the mistake. you need to create the situation. not force the situation.
As someone new to pickleball and a longtime tennis player, I really appreciate Michelle’s commentary, very informative and feel it adds excitement.
sock gotta clean up the unforced drive errors. take some off the drive if need but has to make them at a much higher percentage.

they had like 5 line judges on other tournament, but they still made terrible calls lol

If this doesn’t work out, I hear Jack is gonna try his hand at shuffleboard 😂😂

Vamos Fed!!!!!
anyone lose it at 13:30 when dude said "throwin ropes" about Sock's forehand?
The official ball of the PPA SUCKS it sucks even more at the price point of $4 a ball
But does it suck more than Michelle’s commentary?
Ben Johns says he is finally starting to get used to the new ball and serving rules. Why they changed I don't know.
@@arautus because Vulcan paid the PPA over 2 million for a 1 year contract along with a percentage of ball sales.
$5 a ball actually *
I think that it's a decent ball, after having played more than a few hours with it. I'd buy it once my x40s are used up.
Not them calling him Fed lmao
Anybody counted how many "oh my"?
I took a drink everytime she said OH MY. I'm drunk now.

can we see the video review of challenges? pls
The commentator claiming Jack Sock playing tennis isn't why his career in pickleball took off quickly is laughable
Whats up with the handshake/clap after every game?😅
Sock brought his C game.

Call him Fede, there is only one Fed
I’d like to see sock with a power paddle
Not making fun, but that's got to be distracting that girl/lady in pink keeps shaking her head back n' forth in the background.
Everyone ones shitting themselves knowing Jack sock is coming for them
Did you not see the match?
Definitely got some annoying commentators lol
Ridiculous match full of unforced errors in the Semi-finals of a professional tournament? Makes it look amateurish
The sport (and Sock) are still new to this game.
Oh wait
it's almost as if you have to hit the ball close to the lines because the court is small to hit a winner...
Can’t believe this sport has fans it sux
Is it tennis for gays?
