@@Chersbuger coming very late to the party, blind baking would make a shell that was too crispy for the traditional tarts that you get in the old fashioned bakery, which I think is what they were aiming for?
I didn't find this recipe very good and way too much custard ( i had twelve tarts ) maybe cut back on the milk. i think adding some vanilla extract might give more flavour

I made these and they turned out PERFECT! I halfed the custard recipe and I still had some leftover.
Had to add more flour as it was a sticky mess
Would recommend half custard would be enough as I had a lot of custard over

What happened to the vanilla in the egg yolk mix & the cinnamon&nutmeg in the flour & on top? That must of tasted bland as hellllll

I followed GBBO recipe. They did not say blind bake. It came out alright though.

I found the crust to be perfect but the custard was flat and unimpressive in flavor

made these, andthere was SO MUCH FILLING left and it was a waste, the crust was good though.
You should do something else. 🤔🤨
