@@MaiqiMa Thank you. I had not known about the Luo Shu Square, but had known about the Yi Jing. They could both be mined for their mathematical structure when considering an advanced system of hànzì.

By the way, there's a branch of physics that deals with weaving. I knew someone who had a concentration in it; she came from a family of textile workers. My physics professor said it's a high-paying field.

I care about him dearly. If it is painful mentally or psychological, tòng is more often used. e.g, 痛心疾首 tòngxīnjíshǒu extremely regrettable. Hope that helps.
