So many people take even having furniture for granted. I bought a set that was basically new and only $100… people made fun of me for posting it. It’s my life, I’m posting it. If I actually get to pick out matching furniture for myself then something was going well 👌🏻 But I’ve learned you can lose something immediately after you pay for it, have to start over and take $100 or free places to sit as a blessing and if we have the money to buy something we’ve wanted a long time then it happens. I bought a boot shaped drinking glass from a thrift store to hold my toothbrush in my new house, was so excited over that $3 purchase. It's the little things.
That is so true. Once you have plenty of rooms it helps to give each room a purpose, "office", "guest room", "entertainment room", "music/yoga room", and then put things into those rooms that fit the room's purpose. Bought a 2nd house in Colorado, didn't bring anything except a handful of clothes. For the first time in my life I got to start fresh, only what I wanted went into the house. No hand-me-downs, no "someone has to take grandma's old dining table, no crap that is useless but I'm too attached to throw away, NOTHING. @@Justin-n1p No, way! P-dub as well? Congrats on the house. I remember the car before the van. Major strides and many new memories. You’re such a down to earth guy and always caring about others.
One thing I have learned about myself is that lighting is important to me. I wish I had put the effort for lighting in early in my home ownership. Having good lighting in a space like a workshop is a motivating factor. Another one is organization. An organized workshop is more motivating than a cluttered space for me. In your case other things may be good for your state of mind. If you find a thing that bothers you every time you see or use it, maybe that is your early work item. Do things that are good for you. Most of all, enjoy the process of taking care of your home. It can be very satisfying. Congrats Alex. I am glad you have a community of good friends to take care of each other. Happy trails brother.
Congrats!!! I totally get your excitement about the bathroom, lol. When I moved back to GA after 10 years in LA, my realtor asked about my top priorities-and I said a laundry room and a garage. 😅 She laughed and asked, ‘But really, what main things?’ I told her those were my main things, lol! Congrats again!! 👏🏻
I'm happy for you Alex. Been watching you for a long time and your videos helped me to get back on a bike after over 20 years. Used to ride all the time through high school in the late 80's and through the mid 90's. You deserve everything that is happening in your life as you have worked hard to develop your channel and provide excellent content with exceptional personality. Matter of fact, it's your attitude and personality that makes you special. Your amazing ability on the bike is an excellent addition for sure but you are the reason 600K+ subscribers exist. Keep living free, riding hard, and getting stoked in all that you do.
I watched your channel a few years ago when I started mountainbiking and I loved it because you were so sympathic and authentic in your videos. now into MTB again and I searched for your channel again. Really cool house and this video put a lot of smile to my face today. I think I have a lot to catch up from the last 4 years! Thanks for your content!

Soaking tub on a cold and snowy winter day, especially with the natural light so you can kinda see what's going on outside is just TOP NOTCH. Just saying. I live in Colorado where it happens often. Such a fun time.
Gorgeous space. All of that natural light is magical and the fact that it came well furnished. Couldn’t ask for much more. Isn’t it amazing how much washers and dryers can change your life? You look mighty happy and it’s great to see. Enjoy.
This video shows how lucky we are to have things we take for granted like bathrooms and stoves. It's a nice reality check for us. Super stoked for you man!!! Pro tip: Empty space is NOT begging to be filled. The voice that tells you "Something should be in this space" is leading you astray!
Wrong, the Call of the Void must be answered. Fill the emptyness in your home and your heart with things of material worth!
