    Blimey you have some very active and beauiful shrimp there!! I've been feeding pollen since i started keeping shrimp about 2 years ago, cracking stuff and gets everywhere. You can get it a load cheaper from places like Pro Shrimp, health food shops tend to charge through the nose for the stuff.

    Wow, how are you not more popular this is actually really awesome information that I didn't know about shrimp keeping. I was always the one that was like here u go shramps go enjoy your food in your bowl. I always noticed the baby bees were always running around from the getting go although. But I understand the idea behind powder food and feeding the whole area instead of a specific area when babies are involved.

    nice video. always appreciate the info. i wonder if you could help me figure out why my baby shrimp are dying off. i have a 5 month old, 3 gallon nano low-tech shrimp-only tank, set up with some small drift wood & Japanese stones (sorry forgot the name), lots of plants, on a 1/2" bed of aquareon substrate and sand. i started the tank with guppies, then 2 month in, switched to all cherry shrimp. some of the first badge of cherries came home already berried; so slowly a second generation of cherries began to appear. i now have about 10 adult and 20 teenage cherries thriving. last month i introduced some berried blue bolt and berried orange females; i immediately started to see some babies swimming around, however they disappeared after a few days. eventually all the mamas became un-berried; but no babies in sight. the same thing happened last week after i put in some berried blue-blots and rilis; i started to see some babies initially, now they're all gone. there're no predators in the tank. in the past some baby shrimp would travel to the back compartment of the tank where the filter is, though not this time. i'm increasing feeding Bacter AE from 1 to 3 times a day, while adults are being fed Shrimp Dinner and Mineral Junkie once a day. here's the water parameters: ph 7.1, kh 4, gh 12, ammonia/nitrite,nitrate 0, tds 260, temp 72-75. sorry for the long message, any

    Hi Mark. I've recently got some subwassertang which started off great but today I saw that there's brown patches on some of the moss and a few pinholes. Does this mean it's dying?. Anything I can do to fix it?. I was told by my lfs that it can be kept in low light and no co2. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

    Mark i have a question about neocaridina shrimps. Can we keep them in low TDS like 120? Can they survive and thrive in low TDS?

    • @MarksShrimpTanks
      @MarksShrimpTanks  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As long as you give them minerals in the food I cant see why not :)

    • @Kashif314
      @Kashif314 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marks Shrimp Tanks a lot for the reply Sir. I don't give them mineral based food. Just the normal commercial food for shrimps. My Gh is 5 and kh is 3 so are they gonna thrive if tds is low even?

    • @MarksShrimpTanks
      @MarksShrimpTanks  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I dont know about thriving but they will live, why do you have them in such low tds anyways ?

    Mark, I was just looking at your store site, what does this Floral Mix - Borneo Wild
    consist of? I'm interested in a few things. Do you also sell the banana leaves?

    • @MarksShrimpTanks
      @MarksShrimpTanks  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its not my store I am just an affiliate ,it means I basically am a salesman for them if you understand ?
      The floral mix will contain different types of pollen also I dont think they sell banana leaves but all you need is Indian almond leaves ..they are my favorite :)

    What are the knots of twine called? I heard "breeding locks". Searched "breeding knots" too.
    For sure there are tons of videos about them, but hard to find without the proper name. :-(
    Looks like a nice hiding spot for the little ones. And tons of surface area for slime / algae.
    I imagine it's cotton? or would that rot?

      Depends on where you live my man , the item itself is a oxydator which more or less purifies the water through oxydation. I get mines from here www.garnelen-tom.de/zwerggarnelen-shop/Soechting-Oxydator-Mini
      There is also a great guy on ebay that sells them called Pro Shrimp :)

      noob4life hi, I keep my cherry in a community tank with guppies, rummy Tetra and barb. From experiance as long as they have somewhere to hide they will do fine but never really thrive. I have some dragon rock in mine which they seem to love.

      ya want some crazyfrog 360 no scopes a bin The quality is so so ,but these all came from mischlings which are a crystal/Taiwan bee cross..which is important to the second part of your comment ..You only have a chance of bluebolts if Taiwan bee genetics are present .
