Looking at the prices for the tobacco and tonka they are crazy expensive on some sites. I don’t think I’d pay to much because I don’t think projection and the last will be as good as others if your spending 100 bucks. Another one that is really great that surprised me is SJP Stash. It last all day and it’s a beast. It’s very strong and unisex. Not sweet at all and wood with musk and patchouli.
I have Grasslands, Metal Rain, and Vintage Green 78 with Tobacco &Tonka Bean otw rn. As I've indicated in my reviews, 78 is the best fresh clean out there in hot weather. Your content is superior G, thank you.
I own Grassland, Metal Rain , and Tobacco - Tonka Bean. All three bought at Burlington, all three were 22.99. At that price, all three are excellent values. I like Tobacco Tonka Bean the most, although I smell very little tobacco whatsoever. The plum note stands out for the first hour or two, then it's just a vanilla scent until the projection dies after about 4 hours. That seems to be the standard "life" of the Banana Republic frags on my skin.
I'm buying this blindly tomorrow based on your review. If I don't like it (which I doubt) I'll gift it. It's only 20 bucks so I won't go broke. I saw 2 boxes of this a BCF two weeks ago. Hopefully, no one in my neighborhood has also seen this video.

Just got it today and I’m loving it. Saw Black Walnut and Grasslands, may try grassland’s next before Black walnut. Already have Explored and Club De Nuit so I’ll wait. I also have BR 90 which is 🔥🔥🔥🔥, I make grab all the BR’s if these two are so nice
I'm telling you there really isnt a BR that I don't like. The most challenging is Oud Mosaic. Its a little medicinal smelling but everything else is excellent. 78 Vintage Green is also really nice.
I picked up both at TJ Maxx. Black walnut is 100% inspired by Aventus. The moment I sprayed I knew what they were going for. Not Bad at all for $20. The Tabaco Tonka Bean I'm still on the fence. The initial spray is amazing but I feel like it dries down very powdery. I also picked up the Dark Cherry and Amber...I ended up giving it to my wife, its labels as a unisex but is leans more towards the feminine side, it gives me cheap BR540 vibes. Overall for $20 a bottle its a win.

The next time I see the Dark Cherry and Amber it's mine. I probably going to get the Gardenia and Cardamom the next time I see it. I probably can layer the Gardenia and Cardamom with my Ed Hardy Hearts and Daggers for a different floral masculine scent.

Always enjoy your content. I own a lot of BR frags and these were two that didn’t jive with me. Black Walnut Legend has a dusty (musty) character that bothers me (plus I’m not a big Aventus fan) and T&TB just smelled too synthetic. And sickly sweet. I owned T&TB and gave it to my daughter, who loves it. In this vein, I liked BRs Dark Cherry and Amber at first but eventually found that one a little cloying and synthetic as well. But BR is a legit house with lots of variety and good value for sure.

I have bought 5 bottles of BR Tobacco and Tonka Bean at Burlington for 22.99. That's how much I love this fragrance. The plum in here is just incredible. I bought Joop back in the 90s when it first came out. Used to smell phenomenal. I would dare to say that BR TTB is a refined version of Joop when it first came out.

The performance isn’t great. Got like 5-6 hours. Smell is really good and it will say that although the opening and mids are the best part. The drydown is just a super clean musk that sticks around for awhile. Tobacco and tonka was a much better performer. Actually performance was shockingly good l. Great projection for the the first 1.5 hours and 8+ of longevity.
Love the linen vetiver fragrance that is in the banana republic icon line. Perfect for out of the shower just hanging out at the house...even spray my pillows with it from time to time
Looking at the reviews it appears that the Tonka is the favorite. But the Cherry Amber is not to sweet and a great fall scent. It does not have cheapness to it. It’s very good for 22.00 bucks at Burlington. After watching the review I’m going back tomorrow and see if the tobacco. It’s sounds awesome!
I had Legend, gave it away to my Son-In-Law. I also have Tobacco and Tonka Bean it is a really nice fragrance. I also have from the Icon line Vintage Green, I have the Oud ones and I do not like it. I have white linen and it is nice. Overall the Icon line is a great buy and smell more expensive than you pay and decent performance. I believe the whole line is EDP. I also heard a rumor they may be discontinued.
Mark you and I have similar tastes. Vintage Green is my favorite and I also didn't like Oud Mosaic. I've also heard they are discontinued however have been pretty available in Burlington just not all at once it seems.

They have some great inexpensive fragrances. Some not so great… Warm Black is legit.. Many of the Vibrant Leather flankers are nice. The Vibrant Leather Bergamot one is very nice.. Really citrus heavy with sweet notes and just a hint of the Vibrant Leather / Aventus dna..
BR black walnut legend eau da parfum to me smells peppery and woody at the opening... clean and musky in the middle and very fruity pineapple at the end the longer the better not so much at the beginning
Side effect not even close to this they're both unique... side effect smells nothing like tobacco and tonka bean lol I wear it everyday and I barely use my side effect so I'm not crapping on it at all... but they're not even close in my opinion. Ones a plum vanilla tobacco pear and ones rum tobacco cinnamon. At least what I get out of them...

So funny cause I've gone through 2 bottles and I'm on my 3rd . I have over 150 bottles mostly niche but some designer and its my everyday wear.
Saw this one at Burlington in Brooklyn today and passed on it. Going back tomorrow Monday 8/8/22 and picking it up. Great review as always.

Love the T&TB. I wear it when driving Uber. It’s not heavy, but super pleasant. Much better than air fresheners etc.

Zara 9.0 is a great Iris cheapie as well..
