This looks like a great journey. 👌 Big headphones are one option to help deal with annoying passengers ... noise cancelling ones are even better. Great for flying too. 👍
Thanks so much for watching! Yes, big headphones are good option to survive some trips with annoying passengers :-D Noise cancelling is also great, but example on a plane, when you fly with screaming infants around, noise cancelling eliminates noise if engines, but usually no scream :-D
RegioJet company brought a lot of aviation elements to train transport, such as stewardesses and personal entertainment screens. I think it's a good idea, especially for longer trips :-)
The "low cost carriage" is an ex-TEE (Trans Europe Express) first class coach from the 60's. Despite the lack of onboard service, it is by far the most comfortable carriage on the train.
Yes, they are some of the best cars on this train. However, this composition as "low-cost" class is only a temporary solution, I heard that after the revitalization of the interior, these cars will be deployed as Relax/Business class on the newly planned line through Poland to Ukraine.
@@PeteBrandy Still there, month ago travel to Prague with this "Low cost", for this comfort, I can survive without free tea/coffee in Standard class...

Thanks for watching! I think you will enjoy the trip. Astra is a great choice, the entertainment system, which I watched in the Relax class in the tablet, is in the Astra car available in IFE. Btw. I recommend installing a RegioJet' app on your mobile phone, in Astra and Low-cost cars refreshments are ordered via a mobile application.

I've watched this video multiple times so this is more of a message than a comment. In a few days, after two decades, I will take action and the first step will be this very train. Of course, the creation of my travel plan was mostly influenced by your videos as well as the experiences of several other train enthusiasts, you can guess who it is. I'm leaving on Thursday 07.07. to Prague, where I will spend the night walking until the departure of the Berliner at 06.25, and then from Dresden with a 9 Euro ticket I cross Germany to Duesseldorf, where I will be based for the next two weeks. The far west of Germany will also be the perfect starting point for a Benelux trip. I should bring the story to an end on 19.07. when I finally head back to the Balkans in style, ICE 23 and RJX 65 to Budapest (of course 1st class and business). It all ends after a night trip to Timisoara, from where I still have 70km to go home, but in another country and outside the EU (still, unfortunately). I wanted to share with you my excitement before going on the trip, of course, I would like to thank you for all the trips you shared with us. The last wish that goes with my warm greetings is a question: what should I not miss in Prague, on the night between Thursday and Friday waiting for the departure of EC178. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything and best regards.
Hi :-) Thanks for the comment. It looks like a very interesting itinerary. I assume that at night you want to be close to the station and accessible by foot (Prague metro only runs until about midnight). If you want well-known sights, then you can make a walking circuit, for example from the main railway station via Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí) to Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí), from there across the Charles Bridge, then go to Mala Strana and then back across the Mánes Bridge to Old Town... Vyšehrad is also an interesting place, but that it is already further from the city center. If you want, write me on insta.
I lived in Brno for six years, went to vet school there. Great memories except the transportation. Back then only state run Czech Railroads existed and it showed, especially in the restrooms. Do I need to say more? 😀

Hello, yesterday I travelled on RegioJet's train and the onboard menu prices are still very similar. Also they have a larger selection of meals than before :-)
Thanks so much! This is a bit of an exception, the owner of RegioJet has introduced some things from aviation on trains, especially IFE and stewardesses. Next year they also plan to open a route via Poland :-)
Hi! Thanks for sharing! I'm planning to do Prague-vienna on August this year by train. Do you know if there's any covid travel restrictions when you change country? Thank you!
Hi! A certificate for entry into Austria is now required (3G). But I haven't met any border checks in the last year (I travel to Austria almost every month). In addition, Austria will release most of the measures from March, so it is possible that in August travel will be completely unconditional.
Depends when you plan to travel and what train will you take. When you take Regiojet from Budapest Deli to Prague, currently the journey time is about 7 hours.
Thank you! In my opinion, in Europe it is best to buy tickets directly from individual carriers on their website. There are also several resellers, but I always prefer to buy tickets directly.
I think not, these trains including a seat reservation together with ticket and in reservation system you need to book whole route. If you want to make a sop over in Vienna, you need to buy 2 separate tickets
What is that constant knocking sound on the train? I heard it too in my nightjet sleeping car. The most annoying thing ever and I can’t figure out what it is.

(The same Night Train also goes to Dresden, Berlin and Warsaw with coaches being split off and combined along the way).
Personal TV screens are only in ASTRA class coach. But in other classes it is possible to connect to the on-board portal on your own devices and watch the on-board portal's offer of movies and series.

Wow, we don't have trains with personal entertainment screens here in America XD looks like a great ride!
I honestly don't care about personal screens on a train, I'd honestly just look out the window.
RegioJet company brought a lot of aviation elements to train transport, such as stewardesses and personal entertainment screens. I think it's a good idea, especially for longer trips :-)
I also prefer the view from the window, but if I is a dark outside or I often drive the same route, the onboard entertainment portal is a good thing.
