I think, we (our brain) judge or measure risk based in 2 things, 1st is probability of that happening, 2nd is what is on the line for the same. 2nd is evaluated only if 1st answer for condition is high to medium. Based on these 2 thing our brain measures the risk...

Actually no one wants to takes the risk by their choice people circumstances pushes them to take the risk . In fact our subconscious mind is so powerful that is can predict the consequence of the danger in the advance to protect us.
The life long battle of risk and return. You have articulated it so so well that I couldn't relate more! There are risks and there are calculated risks. But IMO lot of people are afraid of taking risks because they don't think through possible options, plan for alternative in case things go south, etc. :) Thanks for talking about all the relevant topics in life :)

I disagree. Risk can be measured. It's very difficult to measure in most cases, but it can surely be measured. For e.g., if one is taking risk of leaving the job to do a startup, one can clearly measure financial risk in terms of the opportunity cost, salary missed, other costs and the probability of the start-up being successful.
Correction ....not 5000 but about 500 people die on roads in india everyday. The figure could be misleadingly quoted by your viewers so need a correction.
