Oh I totally agree!! although I will say it's one of the best series finales of any show I've ever loved... The whole series was great and it's a show that I could definitely go back and watch from the first over and over again
I too will totally miss the show!! I liked the finale BUT I REALLY would've loved to have watched Craig and Deran both make it out alive and then have had the last 10 minutes or so of the finale with just *great* music(as was in all of the episodes) and have shown Craig with Renn and Nick. Then instead of leaving us all hanging about the fate of Deran, had him show up in a little cafe or somewhere in Indonesia where he walks in and there's Aiden..they see each other and simply walk towards each other and smile :) *that* would've made the *perfect* ending for such an incredible show!!

Deran was my favorite character...and I dug the show, big time. It became the show that I invited friends over to see. The faces would change from week to week, but there was always 4 to 5 people in my home, shouting at the screen. I bought some bean bags and would get the beer. And they usually brought takeout and weed.. And we'd smoke blunts after the show, as we did the character analysis thing...so come to think of it, the show was oddly therapeutic, for some reason.
(spoiler alert)...I dreaded having to watch the finale and say goodbye to the Cody family. I've really enjoyed the ride that animal Kingdom has given its fans. The finale was very emotional for me. At first I was angry that Jay survived and a few others did not. I understand it now. Pope was predestined to fail because of his upbringing by Smurf. Craig was hard for me to watch. That final scene at the beach with the two brothers did me in 😢. In the end Jay lost what little family he had left and the love of his life. All of the main characters had a tragic and bittersweet ending to some degree. I think it was well written. I will greatly miss the show. I'm glad we had six phenomenal years of it. I hope everyone else enjoyed the finale.
Animal Kingdom always kept me intrigued and wondering what was gonna happen next. I would be watching it and it seemed like it had only been on for a few minutes and suddenly it was going off. I wanted it to stay on. They all done a wonderful job in acting their parts. A sad shame a show loved by so many was only on for those 6 short years. Gonna miss it.
Would love if they turned the flashbacks into its own series! The rise of smuf . And then showed us clips of the present like they did with Baz and pope robbing the bank . Stories and talks we haven't seen yet ! Would be sick
