Best part of Mortian's tank designs from a lore standpoint is they are clearly related to the Macharius and complement the Lucius pattern vehicle range perfectly.
Considering Markus worked at forgeworld its not hard to imagine the macharius might be something he worked on 🤔...

I bought one of those that I'm using as a tank commander. Very cool detail, a little discouraged at the lack of instructions so I spent a fair bit of time looking at pictures to figure stuff out. It's great that it has every gun option so I was able to magnetize the turret and hull weapons and the piece on the back turret if I want the plasma coils. When I bought it, it was really expensive and the casting wasn't that great. A fair bit of slippage. Since then, the price has come down a bit, but shipping to the US is outrageous. Expect another $20 spot on top of the model cost. He's currently producing some sweet not-bullgryns and a not-basilisk. I'm hoping some of the costs can come down a bit more because I would certainly buy from him again. And lastly, customer service was exceptional. When I got around to building the kit it was missing a hatch which he promptly sent to me at no cost. Overall, I was pleased with the kit.
Now we just need a Mordian Mortian.
I have Seven Mortian Battle tanks and three of the tank hunters to form my heavy tank company. I think the main battle tanks are to big to be used as a L. Russ,Instead I used them as an Malcador Heavy tank. The Tank Hunter I use as an Stygies Destroyer Tank Hunter. Mortian is coming out with a smaller tank that would fit perfectly as a L.Russ you can see them on there face book page.
Just saw the Medium Tank they released and it's perfect! I'll be getting a few to go along with my Anvil Industries custom regiment.
That plug and play aspect is impressive. They still should give instructions. Even if it is relatively easy, it is going to intimidate away at least some potential less veteran clients.
it's a good thing Mortian is so heavey-handed with their cookies, otherwise i would have spent money. what a relief!

Thanks for the recommendation, I just checked out the website just now and while the infantry figures were confusing the tank hunter caught my interest.
All my orders from Mortian were packed really well. Which is a stark contrast to my macharius vanquisher... So Markus must have changed his practices since your video.
I threw a victoria miniatures matilda boss turrets(because i love that big heavy cast churchill tank turret)onto one of my mortian chassis. Looks mint.

Well, for what its worth, ive just received my mortian not Ogryns ive bought months ago. Didnt know about him before watching this video so i guess he made his money back. Supra happy with his models, they look amazing

Good to see that there a nice alternatives to GW. But why do you need a Facecam for the unboxing?
I have the Mortian, went with the twin punisher cannons, and I love it. Definitely more for your buck when compared to FW, however I’m still a fan of the Mars-Alpha pattern of the Leman Russ. Dunno what it is but it jus has that look, you know?

You seem to think I'm taking a jab at the rules side of GW, I'm taking a jab at their _price_ side. It's no secret that GW rips people off, that they're charging way more than what it takes to reimburse the cost of models. Other model companies have equaled or exceeded the quality of their kits for often half the cost
Tbh, I was laughing at Aeturnum’s idea about rules. I understood the price issue completely.
@@adriannaranjo4397 Well there's alot of reasons that could be attributed to the really high prices. Of course GW wants to make money and I would agree that their pricing model is a bit wonky cause it's all over the place.
But if i had to take a guess. It might have to do with 3d printing and such. Alot of people are turning to cheaper methods and GW is just trying to make up for the losses in price hikes. Not saying it's right but I could understand that.

The quality is semi-ok. Better than FW. However, there are still production issues with these kits. Bang for the buck for sure, but don't expect too high!
They are 72 euros now.

They make quite generic SciFi tanks so I don't see any reason for IP infringement lawsuit ;) and even if it is inspired a bit so is Leman Russ and by this standard GW should get sued by Mark I design team or their ancestors xDD

i have seen its coming to live on the german warhammer community board, had one of the first released ones etc.
