How far in advance can I make an arch? I'm thinking of doing this at our house for my daughter's first birthday but want to see if I can do it a day or two before.
so sorry for the delay! I typically blow the balloons up the day before and assemble the day of. I haven't tried it farther in advance, but I have a feeling that if you tie the balloons super tightly and it's not outside, the balloons might be fine. But I can't guarantee it!
We’ve done them as much as a week in advance. Looked just as good as the day of. It was on the inside of course, In a building at church where there was no traffic or any hands touching or messing with it.
I'm really enjoying these videos! Thanks you so much for creating them - provides me great entertainment during quarantine, from drawing flowers to balloon arches :) Thank you!
I'm new to this and I'm going to surprise my mom with a balloon arch for her birthday this weekend along with a dessert table! I can not wait to use the hashtags so you can see the final product! WOOHOOO!!!
i have a client who is intrested in something of that very kind and you have a first and last step on how i can come up with it. thank you The House That Lars Buitt
Hi Lars! This is absolutely beautiful I love it! I would like to try a similar design, but I’m in a bit of a pickle. I rented a venue and they explicitly don’t allow anything adhered to the walls. Have you tried blowing up half of the top balloons to allow for them to float?? And maybe using fixing yarn to tie the balloons together? Hope this can be successfully be done.
It felt like the most vital part of the entire tutorial (how to actually make the tape tail & attach the balloons to the wire) was skipped over the fastest lol. Come again???
Love this! Definitely want to re-create for an upcoming baby shower. Any tips on making ahead and traveling (by car) with the balloon arch?I will not have access to my space until the evening before and it is my MIL's home so no nails!! Appreciate any thoughts you have time to share!
You can blow up all the balloons ahead of time and put them in clusters a few days before and bring them in bags. You could even attach the balloons to a string or rope instead of chicken wire. Good luck!
Beautiful work! Big thanks for the tutorial! How far in advance could you create one of these for an outdoor event? Planning on recreating this for a Tropical themed Bridal Shower!
This is to die for!!! i wonder how far ahead one can prepare this...how long would the balloons last for if i want to pre make it for my baby's reception??
This is the first time seeing this style and tutorial. How far in advance can we make this? Like blowing up the balloons and bagging them maybe? Or since I am hosting a party at home, can I build it throughout the week?
You can do it a few days in advance. I blew up the balloons the night before and installed the day of, but it held shape for a few days. Just make sure you're structure is secure. It's usually the structure that falls before the balloons pop.
Beautiful project!! I just love it!!!, i want to make this ballon arch for my baby's first birthday party next month. Can i use liquid silicone instead of low temperature glue gun? Thank you!
Beautiful! Could you recommend something to attach this to the wall so it stays put if I did it by threading the balloon necks through thread instead of using the chicken wire? Thanks! Xx
I am wanting to do a ballon garland for my wedding but my venue is strict in not adhering anything to their walls. What could I do to have the garland stand on its own?
thank u so m . its so cute ♥ .. what is its name ?! becuz I wanna search about more pics for this , what should I write on utube or google to get more shapes =D
Hello The House That Lars Built. I loved the Arch you made. I was just wondering where can i find chicken wire with a big roll the one you are showing on youtube? I will be appreciate a lot. I have project to do and i saw this version of the arch and i liked it so much. thank you
Beautiful! Where did you find the balloons you used? I’m having trouble finding the different varieties and shades of colors in party/craft stores, and I’m a little hesitant to order the balloons online. And suggestions? Thanks!
Hello, is it possible to build this and transport it the day of to the location? Also, in the comments you mentioned tying the balloons right are you referring to the knot in the balloon?
Yes, just make sure the knots are super tightly knotted. I've never tried to build and transport it the day of the location, but I think it could work.
I think it would need more strength to make sure it doesn't blow away. I might suggest stringing the balloons together by sewing them together with string and thread.
Hello, can you tell us what gauge chicken wire that is? I tried this with chicken wire and wasn't able to get it bend or stay in place with hooks and duct tape. Lucky for me I was able to make it work with just fishing line and strategically placed Command hooks.
Hi Valerie, the chicken wire comes in a cylinder form at the hardware store, but you unwrap it like a ribbon to form it into any shape you want! Does that answer the question?
Beatiful. Buenos días cómo se llama la malla que utiliza y no se observa bien en el video cómo se colocan los globos para que no se revienten en la malla? Gracias
How many balloons did you buy and are they different sized balloons? How far in advance can you inflate the balloons before the party? Can it be the night before?

The House That Lars Built good day. Is helium required or the airpump is fine? How many hours wld you estimate to do this size you did?
Done
Love this so much more than the traditional balloon arch. This has more of an organic flow to it.
Thank you! Because of your video our balloon arch was a hit!

I love it so cute
yeah, look nice !!!
Hola :divino tú tutorial quiero saber cuando de ancho tiene esa maya ?
Beautiful!! I would like to know... how many ballons (Aprox.) do I need to do an arch (not so big)?
Fun!
This is the first time seeing this style and tutorial. How far in advance can we make this? Like blowing up the balloons and bagging them maybe? Or since I am hosting a party at home, can I build it throughout the week?

hi there! how long does it take to build an arch like this??
Where did you buy the balloons? And what sizes?
How long would you say it takes between filling up the balloons and setting it all up?
Maravilhoso..Love
obrigada! :)
Beautiful project!! I just love it!!!, i want to make this ballon arch for my baby's first birthday party next month. Can i use liquid silicone instead of low temperature glue gun? Thank you!
I don't know! I haven't tried it. But you can definitely use tape. I'd try gaffer tape. It's super sturdy!
do you follow any size and color order for the clusters?
how much you chart for this arch? and how long take to make it?
so you taped the clusters to the chicken wire? Or you fed the tape tail through the holes in the chicken wire?
Beautiful!
Could you recommend something to attach this to the wall so it stays put if I did it by threading the balloon necks through thread instead of using the chicken wire?
Thanks! Xx
I used command strips and hooks to temporarily attach to a wall!
Just made this last night, but the lo-temp glue gun still seems to pop the balloons! What brand is yours and any tips on how to prevent this?
If someone wanted you to make a balloon arch like the one above how much would you charge?
This is awesome, how long does it take you to do it?
Awesome! Soooo beautiful! Can you share tips on how to deal with the sharp edges of the chicken wire (where I cut it) so they do not pop my balloons?
fold the chicken wire into itself so that it doesn't poke out. Or add a piece of duck tape to cover the edges. Good luck!
can you tell me how you use the different types of tape?
I am wanting to do a ballon garland for my wedding but my venue is strict in not adhering anything to their walls. What could I do to have the garland stand on its own?
where is the tablecloth from? love!
thank u so m . its so cute ♥ .. what is its name ?! becuz I wanna search about more pics for this , what should I write on utube or google to get more shapes =D

I found it at the hardware store. They sell it in bulk!
thank you so much
Hi sorry I didn't get how were you attaching the balloons to the chicken wire clear tape??
What size was the chicken wire? How long did it take you to blow up balloons and tie? Thanks
Beautiful!
Where did you find the balloons you used? I’m having trouble finding the different varieties and shades of colors in party/craft stores, and I’m a little hesitant to order the balloons online. And suggestions? Thanks!
balloonbargain.com is a wonderful website
Hey its beautiful. From where did you get chicken wire? and whats the size of chicken wire you used in this vdo?
you can get chicken wire at the hardware store. we got the standard size from Home Depot.
Thanks a lot!Nice.
so glad you like it! Thanks!
Hello, is it possible to build this and transport it the day of to the location? Also, in the comments you mentioned tying the balloons right are you referring to the knot in the balloon?
Yes, just make sure the knots are super tightly knotted. I've never tried to build and transport it the day of the location, but I think it could work.
hello! what if I want to make this for an outdoor park event? Would it still work...
I think it would need more strength to make sure it doesn't blow away. I might suggest stringing the balloons together by sewing them together with string and thread.
Thank you for this amazing video. Can I ask? What if we chicken wire is not available? Is there any substitute? Thank you so much.
I've used paper before to create criss-crossing DNA strands and it worked great!
The arch is really beautiful. How long did it take you to make the whole thing?i 'm thinking of making an arch for a birthday.
it took a couple of friends and I about 2 hours to blow up the balloons, and then about 3-4 hours to install it.
My party Venue won't allow me to tape this to the wall, any suggestions on how I can still make this? Thanks
what size balloons did you use?
I love it😍😍 I wonder like how many balloons I need to make this? I hope you can give me an indication! thank u!
The amount of balloons will depend on how big you want to make it. This one I used about 120 balloons here in a variety of sizes to achieve this look.
thank u, I made one and it turned out very nice, it's alot of work and you need to be patient, but it's worth it!! thnx for the DIY😘🎈
yes! it certainly does take some patience. Glad it worked out!
How can i attach the chicken wire to the brick outside my house for a backyard event? Would nails work?
Hello, can you tell us what gauge chicken wire that is? I tried this with chicken wire and wasn't able to get it bend or stay in place with hooks and duct tape. Lucky for me I was able to make it work with just fishing line and strategically placed Command hooks.
Lo haré!!!
What was the fishing wire used for? Did i miss something??
so beautiful. Are you able to remove the balloons to reuse the chicken wire or just better to buy another one for the next time?
Beautiful...my question is this how is the chicken wire shaped? Is it wrapped to form a cylinder or what
Hi Valerie, the chicken wire comes in a cylinder form at the hardware store, but you unwrap it like a ribbon to form it into any shape you want! Does that answer the question?
How much would you charge for something like this?
Hola que hermoso, bendiciones
gracias!
Great video!!!
How many days will this arc last??
Dalila Pecina novelas con muñecas
how many ballons did you have
about how long did it take you to make this?
is there any specific brand of hooks that are more gentle than others on walls when removing.
We use Command hooks!
Beatiful. Buenos días cómo se llama la malla que utiliza y no se observa bien en el video cómo se colocan los globos para que no se revienten en la malla? Gracias
I'm so sorry! I'm not fully understanding your question.
How many ballons were used in this arch?
How long does this last
How many balloons does it take to make it
wow.
What would you charge for something like this? How much time does it take to assemble?
I don't take on custom jobs and depending on the size it can take between 1-2 hours to blow up the balloons and 2-4 hours to put together. Good luck!
thank you so much from Thailand
thank you!
How many balloons did you buy and are they different sized balloons? How far in advance can you inflate the balloons before the party? Can it be the night before?
How much did this cost on materials?
what type of gun used for a bunch
How many ballons did you use?
I found that tape sometimes pops the balloons, how do you stop that happing? x
hmm, I haven't had that happen. what kind of tape are you using?
