    I got the surprise of my life when my local air ambulance flew over the Little League Baseball Grand Slam Parade last night, followed by a car accident on my main road through my community. Wet roads probably led to the dump truck and minivan colliding and putting the minivan in the ditch.

    As being a former volunteer, I enjoy the commercial trucks more than the custom cabs.
    Excellent video, my 1 comment would be to identify the fire department responding.

    Are American emergency vehicles exempt from traffic laws when under lights and sirens? E.g. driving on wrong side of road or not using their indicators.

      Depends on state, county, city but most places when emergency vehicles are responding emergant that automatically have right of way

    Great videos, not gonna lie that one engine flying down the right lane past stopped traffic scared me, he was moving along pretty quick and if someone in line heard the siren they may instinctively pull to the right right into their path. If you're passing on the right like that, they need slow down so they can stop if needed. I drove a number of engines as well as heavy rescues for years and would never move along at that rate in that lane.

    This video needs more ladder trucks. Needs more Q and horn clearing intersections.
    It’s an OK video. We need full house turnout as well.

    What is a fire police?

    • @grandson_0623
      @grandson_0623 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mostly older retired firefighters. They go to calls to deal with traffic and stuff like that. It takes a load off of the local police department, and works well in the volunteer-mostly area this videos were filmed in for retention of older people with more experience.

    I want to ask something. While watching the video, it struck me. Why do American fire trucks always have the same design?I'm talking specifically about fire trucks with cabins close to the ground and two crew compartments.These fire trucks have two-piece headlights with square-shaped windshields and rectangular front grilles.This design looks like it's from the 1970's.Is there anyone who can provide detailed information on this issue?

      some trucks turn their siren off when making a turn if there's a lot of traffic

    • @tftrainman
      @tftrainman ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Belchmaster41 I guess I could understand that reasoning. It just is weird to me where we down here in the south legally have to run both lights and siren we cannot run one or the other. Look up Vanessa K free Chattanooga TN and there you will see why it is law. We have to sit thru slides and take a test yearly in order to be qualified to drive.
