@@Mr.strangemaniawwe86 I only knew because I saw the casting but I couldn’t even tell that was him by just going by the voice. He was ridiculously jacked for that role too.
True, though in general it doesn't hold up to the post John Wick era fight choreography we get in action movies, either. Even superhero movies now are doing a lot more. That said - it's about the dialogue and the drama here, that holds up fantastically.
@@hadoken95 I disagree. This was not suppose to be a fight. This scene is designed to show how far Batman has fallen. No background music while, Batman gives his all and Bane toys with him like a cat toys with a mouse! This was suppose to be a one way beatdown and it delivered. It also gives Batman something to "rise" from!
People keep forgetting that both Batman and Bane were members of the League of Shadows, and Batman was a member in his civilian identity of Bruce Wayne. That's how Bane knows who he is.
Bane is so under appreciated. He’s a tactical genius. Learned everything he knows while in Pena Dura prison in Santa Prisca. His cell was basically pitch black. Tom Hardy did an amazing job!
Bane can’t feel pain. He’s numb to it because of the drug. He’s probably running at 100% all the time. It also explains how he so easily smashes concrete and breaks a guys neck effortlessly. He has no force control over his musculature.
People seem to forget that Bane isn't just Brute Strength, he's an expert tactician. That's how he got into Wayne Manor, that's how he got to Alfred, and that's how he BROKE. THE. BAT. This happened in the comics and has some semblance in Arkham Origins. Try not to see Bane as the Harley version where he just uses a stupid voice next time.
Tom Hardy is one of the greatest actors around nowadays, his scene with Cillian Murphy in "Peaky Blinders" are the best, two actor powerhouses. He deserves way more than Venom.
The most disturbing thing for me is that there’s no music at all until after Bane beats Batman. It really adds to the sense of overwhelming dread that this is going be the first time we see Batman lose a one on one fair fight in film history.
A few reactors said Catwoman go save him, it’s not too late” she would have died if she had even attempted to. There’s nothing she could’ve done for Bruce at that point! I mean let’s not forget that she betrayed Batman to save her own ass so what made people think she could have saved him lol 😂. Babe is there, he could’ve killed her no problem not to mention Banes soldiers strapped up
Read the classic Batman: Knightfall storyline. Bane is both a physical threat and a strategic genius observing and orchestrating Bruce's fall with the gauntlet of Arkham's deadliest inmates.
I get what Nolan was going for, with having the fight scenes reflect the perspective of who Batman was fighting, (hence the quick flashes against goons, and the basic, slow movements here,) but entertainment-wise, not the best choice
I mean, find a 2 Meter and something Guy to play the big Version of Bane or even someone as tall as Shaquille O'Neill and who can also act and sound smart and then perform and then with a Mask on. So yeah, we can be dissapointed by it but then again, we kind of got an good Version for what's actually possible.
@@christopherking4932 it's not that. i just really didn't like it. the first sign of it was when they changed Bane's voice (small gripe). granted I saw it once in the movie theatre. I'll likely be more kind towards it if I watched it again. i know they were initially going to continue with the joker plot line before heath ledger passed. I think it shows that after his passing they were rushed to produce a new narrative
@ well yeah, when it came out I was there first week. i was a big fan of TDK minus the last third of the film which I felt didn't reach the heights of the first 2/3. TDK was great though
"Victory has defeated you." There are so, so many quotable Bane lines, but this one doesn't get nearly the love it should.
It’s a good line it and “peace has cost you your strength.” Are really good
Literally every word out of Bane's mouth in this scene was gold.
"Oh you think darkness is your ally you merely adopted the dark I was born in it, molded by it I didn't see the light till I was a younger man by then it was nothing to me but blinding!!"
Love Tom Hardy’s delivery. It was perfect for this character: cold and calm.
@vytalman when this movie came out I didn't even know it was him at first his voice was different
He crushed that line. Bane was top-tier quotable. "Do you feel like you are in control?"
@ yes! That line gave me chills, especially when he placed his open hands behind his head like that.
@@Mr.strangemaniawwe86 I only knew because I saw the casting but I couldn’t even tell that was him by just going by the voice. He was ridiculously jacked for that role too.
Lmao I love how people are like “this isn’t the most exciting fight scene”. Of course not, Batman was getting his ass whipped😂

The fights in the Nolan trilogy, especially in this movie, are mostly Batman trying to elboy people instead of punching, it's a weird choice

When Bane knew where Batman was hiding and grabbed him out of the shadows...I was like "Nothing is working..Game over".
"Ahhh! My neck! My back! My neck and my back!"
- Batman
"I broke my back! Spinal!"
" Thipinal " in Mike Tyson voice 😂😂😂

People forget this version of Bane doesn't feel any pain because his mask gives him a gas that has numbed his body.
Hitting bane is like hitting a brick wall
Should've used the knee brace.
Heath Ledger's Joker quite rightly gets loads of praise but I think Cousin Tom's Bane is just as good
Tom hardy bulked up massively for this role
He was a big man. But it was like Tom said himself, he was really "overweight" and "unhealthy".
They also used a double for some shots like when he climbs down the chain it's not Tom Hardy, it's a much bigger stunt man.
He got big for the 2011 movie warrior, a year before this movie
Bane can’t feel pain.

Let's be honest Batman needed and deserved that beating..he had to be humbled...Bane's biggest mistake is not ending Bruce before hand
Ok the timing of this is funny, I'm a voice actor, and I busted out my Bane in a outake from a project I recorded today 😂
He got the inspiration for the accent from a romany gypsy he was sitting down with one day, he was a boxer.

2025 “then… I’ll break you”

He was MORE like Thanos than MCU Thanos LOL
Backbreaker vintage Bane!!!

Tom Hardy voice so distinctive & made him iconic along with Peaky Blinders character...Alfie Solomons.👍🏼😎👍🏼
Batfleck vs this bane would of gone different

I used to hate these reactions channels, but now i can't stop watching them. Haha whats wrong with me.
I’m still curious if possible on how Dave Bautista is going play this role especially in his 50’s in the new DCU
Great video but your time stamps are off.
Cool 😎 movie
Good thing Bane wasn’t a Booty bandit
Bane is an amazing Batman enemy, but without Venom makes zero sense...
This Bane actor looks like an average gym dude, not some sort of supernatural monster.
Nolan's Batman has always been as realistic as possible. A 350lb roided out dude 7 feet tall would've been out of character.
11:36 ngl
Bruce pushed a bad a position and half intelligent attempts.
stop ripping content off other channels and generate bs with it
First time watching? Girl literally says Bane's lines as he says them. Disingenuous TH-cam bollocks
It's not "Disingenuous", she obviously heard that line somewhere else since it was highly quoted and memed at the time the movie came out.
@ From disingenuous to speculative. Typical internet guff
The only way Bane could beat Batman was with the drug Venom .
That wasn't the ONLY way. It helped him, but he also weakened him by releasing all the inmates at Arkham.
In this film, he wasn't on Venom, but a pain numbing gas.
Read the classic Batman: Knightfall storyline. Bane is both a physical threat and a strategic genius observing and orchestrating Bruce's fall with the gauntlet of Arkham's deadliest inmates.
💯💯💯
As amazing as these movies are - the fight scenes are dreadful.
Agreed
Yes. That's true. 😸

Cat woman or what , woman can betrayed u n you lost the power in th8nking yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy . Cat woman .
😊😊
As good as this movie is I feel it was a bit of a let down cos Bane wasnt as big as he is in the Batman games plus he didnt have the venom on his back
He was in the Comic, which is were it matters.
@SVPSkins yeah but still they cheapened out on making him scarey

@markomarinic3073 A thin Bane who know martial arts isn't as good as a big muscular destructive Bame
@@stanleymoremi1709 Again, find just one Actor who could have done the Job perfectly.
