These k9 tracker dogs are insane. I watched one recently where someone robbed a store and didn't leave anything behind and the dog tracked to a shopping cart with all the stolen goods then through multiple yards over fences into a specific shed that he was hiding in. These dogs are well trained and completely unbiased to the outcome. They are trained on a job and perform it until they are told to stop. What a resource.

Had an old English mastiff who found a lost little 3 year old with autism, was the best moment ever. He tracked him down and barked at him like crazy when he found him. ❤miss u boomer
I'm thinking of getting a Mastiff next... Either an English or a Boerboel, depending on what pairing comes up at the right moment. Probably an English type. I've got my ear to the ground and the money put aside. I've gotta get another service dog at some point in the next six months to go through the assistance dog program here in Australia, it's so hard to get a spot and I wasn't ready last year. I had a Rottweiler last time (I didn't actually get him with the intention of putting him through the program, but he was perfect) however I just can't find one as perfect as my Rollo was for me and I think a Mastiff suits my particular circumstances a little better now. He's going to have to come to work with me (I own a company in the performing arts world) and Mastiffs are just that little bit less work driven and happier to chill with more people coming and going. I'm experienced and will give him the best upbringing, I just love having crazy looking dogs like that, as I'm sure you know walking a large dog like a fully grown Rottweiler or a Mastiff is like walking down the street with a freakin rockstar much of the time. Sometimes it's annoying, but it really helps me socialise and Mastiff types are well proven to be suited to my particular assistance needs. Anyway, I know how tough it is to move forward when you lose one that was your best friend and although you never replace them it's an opportunity to find that unconditional love once again. This year I'm ready to go again.

I worked at a department store and we had a missing child once. She turned out to just be hiding under a table in a different area, and the way the mom just broke down when they were reunited. I think she'd only been gone like 3 minutes! But I totally get it, I mean we were close to the store entrance so I'm sure the mom was terrified of the worst.
I've seen a ton of comments of people talking about watching a kid better. These people are not parents, themselves. Kids are extremely curious and 10 seconds is all it takes for them to wander off somewhere. It isn't bad parenting when a kid disappears into thin air sometimes.
It warms my heart to see how great all the police officers acted when he was found. I know it was scary for mom and child but cops really need to feel like they are doing something meaningful.

My grandma used to always tell the story of the time when she couldn't find my uncle and called the cops to report him missing. The cops didn't search the house at first and were looking elsewhere... About two hours later he woke up from his nap in a somewhat hidden alcove in the house and walked downstairs asking if he could have a snack. 🤣🤣🤣

She had tucked herself in amongst all of the clothes in the wardrobe and stayed incredibly still and silent when we were searching the house. This was during her "I want to play hide and seek" phase where she'd essentially play by herself, and we'd generally find her relatively quickly but this one time she finally found herself a damn good hiding spot.

@@adambane1719I agree that they didn’t mention the neighbor after bringing the child home (in the footage we saw), and they most certainly should’ve. But I don’t agree that they failed, they showed up in groves and had officers going door to door. Their mere presence is prob what got that neighbor to give such information. So nobody failed here, aside from maybe mom taking her eyes off her 3yr old. Which isn’t hard when you’re busy, but I doubt it was less than 20secs like she said. No way a boy travels so far that she can’t find him on her own, in that short amount of time.
If you have a 3 yr old and have a forest right outside your yard. I think it's smart to put a fence that separates the forest from your yard. This is part of toddler proofing your home. The neighbor pointed to the right direction and Midnight put 100% of himself in searching for that boy. Makes me happy watching good things from cops and finding missing people, and especially seeing their K9s be acknowledged of their hard work and dedication.

I watch tracking dog videos for deer recovery and yes carrying the scent on the trail is going to confuse the dog. Scent is going to be blowing off that blanket and will smell stronger than the trail does. The extra officers coming on the trail with the dog and his handler were also fouling up the trail. They kept getting ahead of and circling back and spreading out. Should've been just Midnight and the handler searching the immediate area he was last seen on to pick up the trail faster.
Its actually really wholesome to see one of these videos not ending in tragedy, as well as showing some of the lesser seen side of policing nowadays. Well played

I don't think we have enough information to say if she was a good or bad mom. If what she's saying is true and she took her eyes off him for a 30 seconds, then I'd say that's not an abnormal amount of time for a parent to get distracted by something else. If what she said wasn't true and it was minutes or some other thing happened then we won't know or ever know.
Shoutout to the cop gently educating the other cop, "can't have gotten far hes only 3" "youd be surprised" letting him know they need to extend their search
But clearly the boy was only 2 houses down. A 3 year old can't get far in 10 minutes. Cops don't know it all. I mean they had a natcotic dog looking for a child when they should have used the prison dog like the other cop suggested. And I know for a fact a toddler will not get fat in 10 minutes. They wont walk for very long bc they are tiny and theh tire easy especially in the woods. The dog didnt find him the cop made it look like he did cause the dog lost his track twice and his ego was busted when the other cop suggested they use the prison dog that searches for actual humans. And the ego busyed cop handler made it look like the dog found him when the cop found the boy but made it look as if the dog found him cause his ego was busted. These k9 tracker dogs are insane. The goodest boy that ever good boy'd!! ❤️❤️❤️
If i was the mom i woulda let the pup keep the toy

Its actually really wholesome to see one of these videos not ending in tragedy, as well as showing some of the lesser seen side of policing nowadays.
Well played
Very uplifting story, thanks for the positivity
best bodycam video I’ve ever watched. Something positive for a change is refreshing.
dog and neighbor deserve all the praise in the world
The dog didn’t find him
So nice to see some good in the world. A good mom, a good kid, good cops and good neighbors. As a 48 father of 2 boys I'm a little choked up. 🙏
Good mom?! Whatttt she left a 3 yr old on his own knowing the woods are wide open there and when the cop said we found him she's all "ok cool" and continued on with her poor me story .... moms a narcissist and didn't gaf her baby was found. Bad mom100%
@@Anfluffab Dude forreal. She was scared of consequences.
No good mom gives their 3 year-old a tablet outside and just leaves them alone. She was careless.
It's debatable whether that weird mom was a good mom.
People are not trusting what their eyes show them and it's really annoying.
The video obviously shows the cop spotted the boy (bc of the neighbor) before the dog did.
@@amandafight7627 a 3 year old CAN get far in 10 minutes like hello did you forget why the Harambe tragedy happened. Also look into missing 411, people will look away, turn there heads back after a few minutes, and the toddlers are gone, some were never found and others were found DAYS later, MILES away, each with their own stories as to what happened. Do not speak as if you are in any way an expert on this topic. Prison dogs and K9 officers BOTH are trained to find people, and there's specific sniffer dogs as well for catching scents, different dog breeds are better. The kid ran off into the woods where there's bears, mountain lions, snakes, and crazy people, doesn't matter how long it was. Your weird af
I thought about that neighbor at the end, but also have the feeling that she’s happy she did what was right and the baby was found. This was a relieving video.
Thank you so much!!!! We see so much heartache that a story like this becomes quite necessary!!! 💗⭐
To the neighbor...YOU SAVED THIS CHILDS LIFE! So many would not have said a word! Bless you and may your life be filled with joy and happiness! 🌺🌹💕
Geez that is thick brush. Poor baby . Im so happy they found him.
Mom must have been in insane shock.
Its crazy how that little boy got in those woods so deep. Children are incredible.
Lol at the dog trying to take his stuffie.
"We found him"
"Anyways-"
The mothers reaction was off..
One time I walked away from my mom shopping at target. I went to the video game section to play demos they had. Eventually I heard my name being called on the intercom. I started walking to the front and saw my mom with workers and she came up to me crying hysterically. I was like 10-11 years old and thought her reaction was ridiculous I was fine but knew it was out of love. And I was a big kid. This mother's reaction was just odd.
Yeah, weird. So anticlimactic lol. She’s like, thanks….
Right?! I thought I was trippin!
That was so weird to me too! I would've hit the ground screaming and thanking God over and over.
Thank you for sharing with video. I find my self always watching worst case scenario stuff and I’m sitting here crying (tears of joy) that this mom wasn’t a monster, the baby was found, the neighbour spoke up, Midnight and his handler and all of the other first responders stayed with it. Thank you for sharing this good news story.
The mom cared more about finishing her story than hearing the cop say they found him. I would have hit my gd knees.
I thought that was weird too. When the officer said, "We found him," I would've dropped to the ground and thanked God!
That was so strange! Even I felt a burst of relief I starting tearing up and got goosebumps, then I seen her reaction and was like what??? Definitely weird!
didn’t even ask about the condition he was found in, didn’t seem eager to get to him after learning he was found, very very odd
Weird
Trauma responses very differently for everybody. The news likely hadn’t even registered with her because she was so distressed.
Every parent hopes they are surrounded by great neighbors like this.
So valuable to have caring neighbors. I was so glad to hear crying from that boy. 🙏
Cried my eyes out when they found him...as a mum but also on a human level... What an incredible moment. Hope the boy and his mama doing really well!
