you have a new subscriber for life. I am finally attempting to add a lining to a jacket. I am 71 yrs old and I've been sewing since the age of 12. I've sewn every thing from stuffed animals to wedding and prom dresses. But I've always been afraid of buying a jacket pattern with a lining. Well, my sister wanted a nice black suit and she just could'nt find one she afford to wear to our sisters' funeral. I considered making her an unlined one but that just didn't sit right with me cause out of six girls, there's just the two of us left. So three wks after the services, I prayed and asked God for courage. Several videoes over the last few wks lead me to you.I felt like an angel was guiding through your instructions. Your voice was so soothing that I watched the entire video before I did anything. God bless you and continued success with your channel🪡💐🙏🙏🙏

Also the poplin fabric had a white side that might show if blazer is open. Great information on this blazer thank you so much for your expertise.

Hi Karen! I agree. If you make the jacket without the lining, it will definitely show. Thanks for mentioning this! Happy sewing!

Nice job…I would have shortened the lining at the hem and at vent trimmed the lining seam allowance because lining tends to droop.

The lining was a bit shorter. I didn't show it in the video! But I will definitely explain later. Thanks for suggestions 😊

I know I'm months late watching this tutorial which I'm loving because I really want to know how to line a jacket, I'm also wanting to know where did you buy your labels? I love them and I need some for my projects. I would appreciate it if you let me know where to purchase them. Thanks in advance!

Hi Beverly! Thanks for watching the tutorial! I'm glad you find it useful! In regards to the labels, I purchased them from the Dtuch Label Shop. It's an international store (so not based in the US). It will take a few weeks to ship. But they have very good quality labels. Here is the link
