I bought a 2021 Chevy 2500. Brand new. Transfer case went out at 8000 miles. Was in the shop for almost two months. Back in the shop now at 40,000 miles with the same problem. Been in shop for over a month now and they still haven't looked at it. Thanks for the vids. Much appreciated
Thank you! I think i got some def the truck didn't like. It went off on its own and hasn't been back on but If it does I'll definitely make a video on it
The controls on the 2020 Sierra/Silverado do not on the knob to turn and hold. The procedure to put the transfer case in neutral is similar. Instead of turning and holding the knob, you will need to press the 2 high button 5 times within 10 seconds.
Not really planning on it. I was thinking about getting a tow bar incase of breakdown it would be easier than getting a trailer if i needed to be towed in
Great video dont think it would hurt trans i be more worried about the steering wheel locking when trying to flat tow woundering if u had to have ignition on so it wont
I think your right. I've heard ignition on and trans in neutral and transfer case in neutral was all that needed to be done but i would have to know for sure before i tried
Great vid. Very professional. Could you tape a video on the Allison and trailer mode and the correct way to up and downshift when you are on the go. 2019 L5P Denali.
Not really on the subject but you might know the answer. I've got a 2019 3500, bringing my daughters TT home off the Blue Ridge Parkway using the exhaust brake. It held the speed coming down great but when I started back up grade or on level ground it wouldn't upshift. I had to turn off the EB for it to upshift and even then took a while for that to happen. Your thoughts, TIA.
Great video and info. I just took a look at my 2022 2500 Silverado Duramax cuz it has push button 4x4 switches instead of a knob. However, I did happen to notice the very small “N” on the trailer mode knob just above the 4x4 push button switches. I’m guessing the operation process is relatively the same. I’ll check it out and let you know how it goes.
Here are the instructions for my 2020 2500 with 2 speed transfer case, manual implies there is a 1 speed transfer case option, who knew?! You press 2 high 5 times within 10 seconds with engine on and tranny in neutral, lots of warnings about "park" not working, that'd be wacky, now wouldn't it? drive.google.com/file/d/1yx02PuYHMF3x412-i02cphdkZMsiaZAn/view?usp=sharing
I talked to another guy today that has replaced all 8. I'm thinking i got lucky with them. I thought about replacing all 8 at 500k but if it's not broke i hate to fix it. Soon enough i guess
Sorry it took so long to reply. I caint see the tag but i posted a link to the exact part number on Amazon right after i bought it. It took me a while to find it. RDS 69 gallon fuel tank amzn.to/3nYkCZi
Great video. I had no idea that you could do that. I am having a "Service Trailer Brake" on my 2017 3500 Duramax. I ordered the trailer brake controller on the left side of the dash. It came in last night I will change it out tonight. But I've seen some videos where they had to change the controller that is mounted to the frame by the back tire. Have you had issues with either one of those? Hope the load board is good to you!
I haven't but a friend had plugged into a trailer that had a bad short and fried the module on the frame. I haven't changed one myself though. Let me know if that takes care of the issue
😆 I have never driven a 4WD... This is above my pay grade... I know this isn't helpful.... If I ever need to know how to do this, you know who I'm gonna call 😆

O dang. I hope they get you fixed up. Hate to hear that is been such an issue
Just bought one of your hoodies... I love the clean & simple design. Keep doing what you're doing. You make a difference in this world...
Thank you! I appriciate you!
It's a really good instruction video, man .
Thank you Mike!
Good video and information.
Thank you!
Great information even though I don’t own a Chevy, you never know when you’re going to run into someone who does and needs help with that.
Thank you. Although I'm a chevy guy i try to learn all i can about all of them
Good to know. Now I expect that the next video will be what was the reason for the check engine light!. Great channel.

Cool. I didn't know how to go to neutral.
I thought it was good to know when i figured it out
How do you override it if you have no power and it needs to get towed to the dealership
I'm not sure if there's no power. I am thinking the drive shaft would need to be disconnected

2020 sierra for me, so thanks for the info. And of course to C Farmer for the subject
That's good info. Thank you! I will be meeting a friend this weekend with a 2021. I'm going to try that on his
Wayne Johanningsmeier, how do you put it back 2 high?
@@CFarmer press 2 high
Simple enough, thank you
So is driveway loads in your future?

I have thought about it. I've never figured out how to set the camera up. I'll give it a try

Hmm, I'm not sure on that one. Mine usually starts shifting back up as soon as i start to accelerate.

I tried it on a 2020 and it worked like a charm
Flat towing with the transfer case in neutral doesn't hurt your transmission. It is not turning.
That's what i was thinking but I've never actually done it before. Thank you for your comment.
Hey have you had any issues with Glow plugs going out?
So far I've been lucky with glow plugs. No issues so far
@@CFarmer dang, I have replaced 6 or 7. Some twice.
