They are much more likely to present a failure in the future due to the stress they've been subjected to. P.S. wind the wick down a tad in that soldering iron. Connect it to a variac, a dimmer or something of sorts. You've lifted many pads with such a powerful thing lol

All one needs to know about someone's ability is a look at the soldering iron and the way he is using it.. This guy must be a plumber, not an electronics tech. Invest in a simple and cheap solder sucker It will make your life much easier and it will save sensitive components from heat damage.
Seriously, should be using a thermal controlled device. The extent of cleaning appears to be scrapping with a probe? I guess using that toothbrush with alcohol is too harsh for cleaning?
Base on my experience of repairing power amps i suggest to fixed the differincial voltage.. make it steady voltage even sounds gain up level.both differincial voltage and power output voltage steady ...when voltage low then up while amps is working..im sure parts is burning again and again..cause headache wasting money..

The pcb is totally trashed for one (i'd never reuse one in that condition, for 2 you really should take a soldering course ( the way you use a soldering iron is bordering on sac-religion, 3 all the fets have to be match pairs and your multi-meter isn't nearly efficient enough of a tool to accurately measure if they are matching if your not buying match sets to replace. 4 it's a cold day in hell when I see resisters that size burning up without something major going wrong oscillations in power supply, transformer issues, some idiot going in and maxing the gain and overdriveing the input by a huge degree (ie hook 2 sets of speaker wires straight to rca plugs and turn the volume up high), etc. ( mark my words this will break again just as bad more than likely) In conclusion it's better to sometimes know when to refuse to repair something.
The power transistors used are not MOSFETs but BJTs - should be matched but I rarely see it equipment like this - as long as they are from the same hfe group the amp should work OK. Also the emitter resistors are 0.33ohm so the tolerance can be a bit wider, but they way they blow up could suggest that some of the transistors had much higher hfe. Oscillations may also be a problem, but I think someone clipped the hell out of it or was running impedance load below what the amp was designed for, say 2ohm subs. Another thing to mention, I blame the way music is produced today with lots of compression and distortions.
@@pliedtka when they beat equipment up It's good practice to replace all outputs and to gain a bit of margin on non matched devices go up to .47 or even .56 on the emitters. And maybe drop the B to E resistance down a notch to kill some drive if the drivers can take a bit more. I can't get the schematic link to load or I could say more or shut the hell up altogether.
With 3pairs of 1943/5200 I wouldn't ask for more than 150-200W@8 ohm, and keep lower rail supply for 4ohms. Weird it took 0.22 resistors, wow lots of current. Maybe there is problem with oscillations in power output section.

I received years ago for repair it an amp like this, that works with a mere - 145 and + 145 volts, with no schematics to work on that I'm not sucessfull on fix it, perhaps a mere resistor with different value than original one brought it to collapse again...
+/-145V on rails, are you sure. I haven't encountered anything with such high voltage, maybe the primary is switched to 120V instead of 230V. The highest I have seen was a huge Pro Audio amp running around +/-85-90V.

PCB damaged badly. Copper traces vaporized and resin carbonized. It is better to change with new whole modules.

I used to repair those things and that looks like a lightning strike. Ouch
FETS's are not ok. If one FET blows, it will damage the rest of the FET's in the system. If you replace one FET, you need to change them all.
No FETs in this one - all BJTs
