Incredibly beautiful! The historic architecture, vibrant atmosphere, and stunning views highlight the city’s unique beauty. It’s truly a pleasure to see such a captivating and lively place. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for this wonderful video. Palermo has a very special atmosphere especially in the evening. I visited Sicily almost 30 years ago right after I finished school, but I didn't have the opportunity to visit Palermo during that time. I think that I have to fill this gap as soon as possible❤
You are very welcome. I'll be posting up the longer Palermo evening walk in a couple weeks. Palermo is very easy to get to. Fly in from Rome, for $30, and get on the bus at the airport and it takes you right into the city. I hope you can go back soon.
Hey Clark, I was able to film the inside on my last trip to Palermo. Here is a link to the Opera House tour: th-cam.com/video/MTG3VA-m6qk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KiKtrM3mebynLJgl&t=7460
Yeah, I've really enjoyed it both times I've been there. I've only explored the historic center though. I'd like to go back and explore the surrounding area more. I'll be posting up a day walk next.
Wish I was there. Palermo's on the top of my list. I also want to visit London and Croatia this or next year. I compared Cyprus to Palermo and there's really nothing to compare. Itallian culture and heritage blows my mind.
Yeah, I guess it depends what interests you. Hard to compare Palermo with London...but I enjoy the Italian culture as well. Traveling around Sicily was a lot of fun for me.
Isaac, thanks for this beautiful walk. I love evening walks in Italian towns and cities. I have watched all your recent tours in Sicily. I was surprised to see this evening walk in Palermo because in your walk in Cefalu you mentioned that you were in a rush to get to Taormina to film an evening walk there. Anyway I know you do take something to edit your videos before publishing them.
Yeah, this was another rushed day. I woke up in Malta, flew to Catania, rented a car, drove into Catania and filmed the first 2 hours of my Catania day walk, and then drove to Palermo, checked into my hotel and went out and filmed this walk. :) Long day. I'll be posting up the Palermo day walk next. ....as well as some new Hotspot videos.
Regarding the fountain in Piazza Pretoria, do you know why it is surrounded by a gate and seemingly permanently closed to the public? It is indeed magnificent and I imagine would be a great place to hang around.
Before what? I mentioned in the closed captions that the first 12 minutes of video uses the camera mic while the rest of the video uses the external mic.
@@ProWalks That was it, the camera sound seemed more defined and the microphone sound a little muffled and distorted, but maybe the camera sound just sounds better on my speaker
I have the impression that Sicily is the friendliest place in Italy. Due to the fact that there's no mass tourism like Naples, Rome, Venice or Milan. As a result, it's quieter.
At 31:38 Ppl always say those tall doors is bcs they probably had horses and such shipping and receiving. But then you have THIS on top of the stairs. So tell me smart people. Why build such tall doors at the top of stairs, up so high? Giants ruled this realm. We didn't build any of this.
Well, just about every door is like that here in Italy. New and old buildings. If there were giants, they were before the flood...not in the 17th century.
I’m curious. It began with the three young teenage Muslim boys, and at one point a Nigerian, how did you film this without showing the horrors of the massive numbers of illegal migrant immigration?
Thanks for the amazing quality. Cheers from Canada 🍁

Hey, thanks so much. I'll be going to Amsterdam, Prague, Venice and Capri next.
@@ProWalks If you go to Capri, try to get footage of that one hostess at that one restaurant. You know.
I love your videos so much ❤ Thanks

No, but's its been that way for a long time. I've seen some pretty old pictures and that gate is still there. Seems too nice to block off though.

omg!!!! is Luisa Piou in this video???
hi Isaac, for some reason I thought the audio was better before
Before what? I mentioned in the closed captions that the first 12 minutes of video uses the camera mic while the rest of the video uses the external mic.
@@ProWalks That was it, the camera sound seemed more defined and the microphone sound a little muffled and distorted, but maybe the camera sound just sounds better on my speaker
@@JrBravim My thoughts, too. In the first 12 minutes I could actually hear conversations as he walked by. The external mic kinda sounds "empty".
@@JrGoonior yeah, it's really cool to hear the details of the sounds of the place
Can you please make a walking tour of jönköping sweden in future ?
I've added it to my list. Maybe next year.

There is definitely no mass tourism...except for maybe Taormina...but it's still nothing like Rome, Venice, etc. Sicily is great!
0:05 Anyone knows what song is this?
I think it's an instrumental version of
Otis Redding
“Sittin' On The Dock of the Bay”
🖖 Greetings from Palermo
Thanks for getting back to him. :)
Do you live in Italy?
I did from 2014 to 2022. Now I just go back because I love it so much. :) ...I'm going to Amsterdam and Prague though here pretty soon.
If you go to Amsterdam you should concider doing Leiden to it smaller but more charming then Amsterdam 😊 just a tip
Thanks! After looking at some pictures, I decided to add Leiden to this trip.
At 31:38

Kaťušu jsem také poznala. Harmonikář poděkoval v ruštině, spasíba (foneticky). 🙋♀️🍀
I’m curious. It began with the three young teenage Muslim boys, and at one point a Nigerian, how did you film this without showing the horrors of the massive numbers of illegal migrant immigration?
I just filmed what I saw.
I didn't understand anything what this is
It's a short evening walk through the streets of Palermo.
👏👏
Thanks for watching!
ah... eh.. wow..hehehe just saying .. been there done that .. castle, cathedral, monreale.. hehehe just saying ..
Yeah, Palermo is a great city. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area as well.
Great video! Do you use a new camera? I found a different quality of your video, thanks a lot....
Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed it. No, this is the same camera I've been using for a while.
@ProWalks is watching Catania now. It's like I am walking beside you. Thanks again for letting us visit some places where we will never be able to go
👍👍👍
