Sumikko Catch Unboxing, Review, and Gameplay

- I did an unboxing and quick review of the Sumikko Catch! It's seriously a super fun device! I never expected it to be this engaging, especially with the 3 sticks that makes it even more interactive! I'm currently so addicted to it now. It's less challenging than the Punitapi Chan, yet not so simple that I would get bored of it. It's easier to earn currency in this game to purchase food and items (as compared to the Punitaipi Chan), so that's a plus!

sometimes actually (most of the time) I wish japan toy companies would make English versions of their toys I think it would be amazing. I also think with expanding the languages it would make them more money.
The market outside of Japan isn’t big for those Vpets , and those who they know that collect it arill going to buy in Japanese . Like me my collection is mostly in Japanese 🤭
@@PinkBinxJust me casually replying to 7 month Old comment. but I think by releasing an english version, it would be Eastern for english players to understand and could probably market them better

Just wondering I'm always a big fan of a game that has to do with mix and matching ingredients to create a dish.
Just not sure if this game have a good focus on the cooking features or very limited amount of dishes you can make?
Otherwise I may just grab Sumikko Mikke xD
There's a set number of dishes you can make. Out of the 5 ingredients, you can pick 2 to make a dish. so just pair up all the 5 ingredients in all the possible combinations you can think of, and thats the number of dishes you can make, which is 10.

Im pretty sure a good virtual pet that involves using things to make a dish is the tamagotchi pix. It involves more of taking photos that can match up to ingredients :)

Personally I prefer Catch because of the 3 sticks, it makes the gameplay more interesting. For Sagashi, the unique part about it is the camera, but I don't like the camera function because it is low resolution, so I would choose Catch! =)

That you for this sweet review! I have a question, how long is the battery life and is it possible to pause it somehow?
I think battery lasts a few weeks. You cannot pause it but its okay because they will never die! You can ignore them and come back to it any time.

You can still take care of them but not with food or ooo so they won’t die
If you lost sticks, so you can't play anymore? You must be keep the stick carefully ,right?
Yes that's right, you can't play properly if you lose the sticks. But they have a strap to keep them secure on your device at all times so I wouldn't worry too much!
How do you can reset the device? 🥺💕
go to settings, there is a reset option. if you cannot find it, go to my website fuzzy-n-chic.com and check out the user guide i posted there, it should show you

There are tons of people in the Tamagotchi community who can't speak or read a single word of Japanese and they do fine with this device! @@xx_shxwtycon you can use them any time, you don't have to change the time or date on your device. The month in my guide is the month which the password was released on the sumikko official website

You can try finding them on either japanyouwant.com, hlj.com, or Amazon.jp. However since this is an old model I'm not sure if they're still in stock. The latest model is the Sumikko Mikke, you can try searching for that one instead ☺️
Can someone help me. Why suddenly my sumikko doesn't have any sounds?
Can you check your settings whether you might have muted the volume there?
Already try set the volume 1-5. But unfortunately don't have any sound. May I know what's the mean muted? Is there any muted button that I accidentally push?😢 Helpp
@@syamimieaqilah97 level 0 is mute. Since u already set 1-5 but still no sound then probably your device speaker is broken. I'm sorry. :( you could try to take the risk to open it up to check and replace the speaker if you have some simple knowledge about electronics and soldering, but I've personally not done it before on the sumikko catch so I can't give u anymore advice on this sorry
Mine does not have sound too. I already reset and changed volume 🥲 please update me if you have resolved this problem. It has sounds on the first few button presses then suddenly it disappeared

Mine doesn't have any sound out of the box :( I ordered from Amazon jp and don't want to return because I'm sure it would cost a lot. I did go to sound settings and changed it I believe, it was already in three but no sound no matter what I change it to :( I'm really bummed
Talk to the seller you may get a partial refund.
@@doriebonie6721 I opened it and pushed the pin in a bit more so sound is working now. The hand key is super finicky though and only works probably 1/8 times. Which is a bummer because I was really looking forward to this and yes it's playable but it's very annoying and I don't really want to send it back. Wish I could just get some replacement keys as the other two work fine
@@doriebonie6721 I was able to get a partial refund. I'm still bummed about it. I wish I knew how the keys and light sensor inside worked so I could try to fix it myself but I don't know how it works and can't find anything about it online.
