I randomly just now tried to get my fingernail behind the screen and it almost came of immediately without any force or prying whatsoever. Guess I'll gonna try it my fingernail-way when my custom faceplate comes in.

Maybe Japan would release an english version of Sumikko if there's enough online signatures for it. Tamagotchi or virtual pet youtubers could start an online protest and get viewers to digitally sign.
