  • Complete stream of Event 2 from the Strongman competition at the 2022 Rogue Invitational in Round Rock, Texas. The Cyr Bell Ladder is a head-to-head event in which the athletes compete for max reps on one-arm Cyr Bell presses of ascending weight: 253LBS, 274LBS, 280LBS, and 285LBS.
Oleksii Novikov was one of the favorites coming in, but he’d have to top strong efforts from Trey Mitchell, Martins Licis, and Rob Kearney.

This is so nuts considering human skeletal/muscle structure. The only place the arms are truly connected to the body is where the clavicle(collarbone) meets the sternum(middle chest bone) at the sternoclavicular joint. The rest just "floats" over the rib cage. The fact that their tendons aren't tearing and shoulders dislocating makes the lift that much more amazing.

Now here's something to think on: in the late 1950's Paul Anderson of Georgia , USA did 305lbs dumbbell for 2 reps on live TV. A great old overhead presser from the old days.

@@dongatello6969 I'm an SBD fan boy. Knee sleeves, knee wraps, wrist wrap, belt, singlet. You get the idea. But it made life easier when choosing federation appropriate gear. IPF approved will fly in just about any federation I can think of. Also SBD isn't going anywhere anytime soon so I figured I was safe with it. Plus outside of the belt they are pretty competitive on price. The belt is expensive but is very nice. I have 2 of them. One is now too big on me and I need to post it online to sell.
