Did you notice when Henry was giving his speech, Zoom was feeling weird. Like it was hurting him or he was having a flashback. I remember reading that Flash earth2 Jay made an evil side of him from the speed force which I think Zoom is, but a younger version of Jay Garrick (Henry Allen). My theory.

While the death was sad yes, what made me kinda smile through the episode was Henry Allen meeting Tina McGee. It was fun for me, for I do not know how many of you know this, they played together in a show too. The flash, from the 90's series, hehe. My memory a little fuzzy but I think there were some strong shipping there, but I was not really of the age to understand the love stuff, just I love the action, lol.

my theory is the father is time remnant 2 or future zoom. That's why he and zoom are so much in common, like people thought he was the zoom twist and they are both "zolomon", or how it's either him or the 1990's flash in the iron mask. Also he some how managed to give a near 1:1 same death line that Zooms mother said switching out mother for father. But that's all a theory, you're way to good at predicting whats about to happen so you probably have the whole next season already
I think the man in the iron mask is Henry Allen Earth 2 aka 1990's Flash and because of his good nature, maybe he was kind to Zoom (by helping him by giving him part of his speed force) so Zoom doesn't kill him but keeps him imprisoned to keep Zoom's secret. Remember his velocity experiments and how he was still dying without a fresh infusion of Speed Force.
I understand the why's. Gotta show that even when tragedy hits Barry, he'll still come out good unlike Zoom, who's weak. At least I hope Barry doesn't go down a dark path. That and I think offing Henry in Barry's house is another crushing blow to him as now he's lost both his mom AND dad in the same home, to the same thing (basically) in terms of evil speedsters.
That was a really great episode. For some reason I was ultra-invested for this one, and things were really clicking. Cisco's references, Wells' constant correction of the E-2 frequency being "higher", the cool slow motion save of Dr. McGee, etc. But like you observed, the way the interactions with Zoom happened at the end -- with Barry just standing there uselessly -- pulled me out of the scene, unfortunately. That death was still emotional, but the scene could have been a whole lot better with the changes you suggested. My question for the show would have been: what happened with Wells after protecting his daughter? Was he so injured by the frequency thing that he wasn't at the big party at the end? His absence there was pretty glaring but it was never explained.
I'm with +DCSan: I've been theorizing on my channel that [Earth 1] Henry Allen is [Earth 2] Jay Garrick for the past few episodes. I wish I could say I was surprised at the death, but KalElHD spoiled that for me. I was actually expecting Joe to die.
I think that in the last episode Barry will go back in time to prevent his father from dying, but doing so Zoom destroys the earth (Butterfly effect)... And that's the reason why Cisco is having those visions about dead birds... The universe is trying to tell Barry that he has to let go, he can't change the things that are supposed to happen, so he finally accepts the death of his parents, returns to the present and defeats Zoom.. What do you think Akasan?
I totally agree with Joe's death being more important as for Wally getting his powers activated, that would've been even better. Also, Wally and Barry would've be on the same spot as for both having lost their parents by a speedster villain.
On one hand, it was a well written and performed scene. Everyone involved was wonderful and it definitely was not as cringeworthy or as *horribly* contrived as the Laurel death on Arrow which killed the show in my opinion. On the other hand, we've already seen Barry come to terms with his Mother's passing and that conclusion made him a real hero. No, I'm not referring to the Speed Force episode last week, rather the Christmas episode a few months back. Something that really set himself apart from Arrow's somber tone is when he looked to Harry (through sound proof glass) and thought aloud to Reverse Flash "I'm done being angry at you. I forgive you." I felt that exemplified a huge merit of maturity and coping skills that Barry has both on the show as well as in the comics. With his father being killed, I'm worried that this might catalyze another retreading of Barry having to come to grips with tragedy in his life rather than being a mature and compassionate hero we know he's supposed to be. Also, on a very petty side note from my own worthless perspective, the presence of Henry Allen for Barry and Wally West for Joe makes it so that the Barry x Iris / step-sibling dynamic isn't quite as gross once they inevitably start banging.

Actually berry have 3 choices. To turn like zoom, go back in time and prevent it, or improve the overall character of the flash. Also henry could be the real flash of earth 2. (iron mask)

Akasan I have a theory on who the man in the iron mask is. (i didnt watch the promo so i dont know if it shows or not but I never watch promos) Man in iron mask is 1990 Flash. It could work and he would be the shows version of jay garrick. It makes sense because in this episode they gave the doctor from mercury labs screen time and revealed flashs secrets to her. (she was in 1990 flash show and she would be familiar to him). They killed henry so barry would be in shock to see that iron mask looks like his dad. you may think that if hes flash why doesnt he phase through the glass. well he cant because he is from another earth. One last note is that when Barry went to earth 2 for the first time he saw visions and pcitures of different things like supergirl and grodd but he also saw 1990 Flash. would like to see your thoughts on this!
Henry Allen's death was heart breaking, but also extremely predictable. I would have been more shocked if Barry/Jessie/Wally had saved him at the last second and chased Zoom off. But it is what it is. I don't think they needed it for character development. It probably is just for bringing E2 Henry over E1 as the JSA Flash. I'm looking forward to tonight's finale.
I'm not shocked with this episode because we saw the future of Barry with Iris and her father and I already know that Barry lost both his parents but I didn't think they would kill him off this way. I don't think there going to send him back in time to save his dad either but it will be interesting to see what they do next.
And they wouldn't want Henry Allen and Jay as the same actor, and they can't use zoom actor because everyone would see him as zoom, and in the comics of course Jay is older

Yea I know that, I was talking about Earth 1 Ronnie, seeing as he and Stein separated when Barry was closing the portal back in the first episode and I don't believe his body was recovered. It's just a long shot theory since zoom said you wouldn't believe me if I told you. For all we know it could be Henry Allen as Earth 2 Jay Garrick or 90s Flash since every person so far that appear briefly when Barry went to Earth 2 has appeared in one way or another.
Yo Akasan hate to say it but I didnt appreciate that jab at Black Canary. As someone who doesn't watch Arrow, and doesn't even care too, you shouldn't piss over a character a lot of fans of the series will miss. A lot of us loved Laurel.

Barry's father dies in jail in the comics, so him going in this route isn't as bad as him solving his murder after his father's death.
Akasan I have a theory on who the man in the iron mask is. (i didnt watch the promo so i dont know if it shows or not but I never watch promos)
Man in iron mask is 1990 Flash. It could work and he would be the shows version of jay garrick. It makes sense because in this episode they gave the doctor from mercury labs screen time and revealed flashs secrets to her. (she was in 1990 flash show and she would be familiar to him). They killed henry so barry would be in shock to see that iron mask looks like his dad. you may think that if hes flash why doesnt he phase through the glass. well he cant because he is from another earth. One last note is that when Barry went to earth 2 for the first time he saw visions and pcitures of different things like supergirl and grodd but he also saw 1990 Flash.

Earth 2 Henry = Jay Garrick = Man in the iron mask. So the actor wont be gone, he will just be Jay Garrick earth 2.
Henry Allen's death was heart breaking, but also extremely predictable. I would have been more shocked if Barry/Jessie/Wally had saved him at the last second and chased Zoom off. But it is what it is. I don't think they needed it for character development. It probably is just for bringing E2 Henry over E1 as the JSA Flash. I'm looking forward to tonight's finale.

I'm not shocked with this episode because we saw the future of Barry with Iris and her father and I already know that Barry lost both his parents but I didn't think they would kill him off this way. I don't think there going to send him back in time to save his dad either but it will be interesting to see what they do next.

Yea I know that, I was talking about Earth 1 Ronnie, seeing as he and Stein separated when Barry was closing the portal back in the first episode and I don't believe his body was recovered. It's just a long shot theory since zoom said you wouldn't believe me if I told you.
For all we know it could be Henry Allen as Earth 2 Jay Garrick or 90s Flash since every person so far that appear briefly when Barry went to Earth 2 has appeared in one way or another.

Yo Akasan hate to say it but I didnt appreciate that jab at Black Canary. As someone who doesn't watch Arrow, and doesn't even care too, you shouldn't piss over a character a lot of fans of the series will miss. A lot of us loved Laurel.

I think that why they killed Henry Allen was so could have something push Barry over and I think that John Wesley Shipp is going to play jay Garrick and he's in the mask so now they have someone to be a mentor speedster to Barry who's a father figure
Both of them are so stone cold to watch Henry's death without batting an eye lash. Even i couldn't contained my sadness..
I see barry getting pissed and kicking zoom's ass.
I knew it was coming but it was still intense...Yeah good move, it would have been competitive with Joe...too many peopl to give Barry pep talks. Plus if they are gonna kill off Zoom Barry will be motivated for it or if they are gonna keep him alive and not have Barry kill him that would show how different Barry & Zoom's personality is. That even with tragedy like zoom he still wouldnt be a villain like him.
